Chocolatey Yours
Prologue -
There was nothing on the ground; still, he stumbled, and at that moment, she observed him. She saw him walking lethargically to the bench and sat on it.
A few moments ago, she was enjoying her free time and reminiscing her old golden memories in the park. But, now everything else was forgotten, and her sole focus was him. He took out goggles from his jacket, which seemed branded, settled it on his face, and started looking into his iPhone. What startled her was his wet cheeks, and at that moment, she felt his pain, at least some of it, making her impatient. She let him cry until a chime on her phone broke the reverie, it was time to go.
A voice rose in her heart, "What I can do to lessen his pain?"
Taking a deep breath, she looked at him sadly and then rummaged something in her bag. Packing her half-eaten lunch and a picnic blanket, she stood up and walked to him with confidence.
Everything was blurry for him, and he had no control over him, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Time was flying, and he was letting it, irrespective of his nature, who never have wasted a second. One minute he was staring at his iPhone, and the next minute, a chocolate bar came into his view.
He moved his head up to look at that person, and he figured out it was a girl, smiling at him as there are no sorrows in the world. Her face wasn't clear, but he noted her calm features. And, before he could react, she said,
"You know chocolate is scientifically proven to improve mood and focus. I think you need it more than me."
She put the chocolate and napkin in his hand, patted his shoulder as if she gets the hell he was burning in and went away.
His gaze traveled to her back, then to the chocolate in his hand and then to his shoulder.
Who on earth was she? And how the fuck she know about his mood?
Then he looked around himself and noted that he was in the park, and life around him was busy.
He tried to found her again in the crowd, butshe was gone. He felt an unknown fury rising in him. He felt wasted, sad, pity, and then anger overtook all these emotions. He threw away napkin, grippedchocolate in his hand, and crumbled it.
oOo
I know it's a cliff hanger! But thank you for reading it.
This is a new concept and I couldn't help writing it down and sharing it with you. Nowadays, I can't help thinking about the emotional side of men which, sadly, our society suppresses, the fact that men also go through abuse every day like women and that "Men cannot cry".
So if you like it, click on the little STAR to vote this concept and then leave a comment. I will soon try to convert it into the story.
Cheers!
