Why my favorite writer is a good writer

I don't exactly have a favorite writer, but the ones I consider to be my favorite all seem to have certain things in common that I look for in an author. All the situations are complicated and aren't too easy to get out of without some intelligence from the protagonists. Not everyone is agreeable, but there is a reasonable explanation behind their behavior. No matter how deep and dangerous it gets, there's always some humor in it.

A/N: I hate these sorts of titles, but I didn't choose them, so ehh.  These are pretty much the qualitites I look for in my ideal story, but mostly I end up reading fanfictions, so there's no going wrong.
