Tests cause stress

A few weeks later, Ned found himself walking back to that same rendevous point where he had met his sister, seen that sign, and gotten that pesky letter. Sitting down at one of the nearest tables, he began to prepare a possible speech in case his sister got mad about him reading the contents. Soon enough, said sister arrived and sat down. Almost automatically, Ned opened his mouth to recite his explanation for messing with her letter, but quickly reminded himself that she hadn't even seen it yet. He passed the envelope to her. She didn't even look at it, just kept staring at him. "What?" He asked, confused. "Well? You obviously opened it, didn't you proofread it like I said?" He still sat, not saying anything. "Wow, you really were out of it then, weren't you?" Slowly, she continued, "I told you to read it for me and tell me what you thought of it. That was the whole point." Ned, caught by surprise, said, " Oh, right. I did that. It's a bit....well..overdone?" He finished, hoping he wouldn't insult her too much. "Well what did you expect? Tests don't exactly calm a person who is most likely going to fail," She burst out.
