2. Come With Me
From the moment I had woken up in that room, I was trying to find a way out. Every fiber of my being was in a panic, wondering where I was and why I was here. The last I remembered was that man in my house, and I prayed to God I wasn't anywhere close to where he wanted me to be.
Windows were all bolted shut, unable to open. The door to the bedroom was locked. There was two doors not locked, one led to a bathroom and one to a closet. Neither had windows or a weapon I could use to my advantage.
I ran through what I knew, or what I thought I was sure of, in my mind. One, I had last been conscious with that man in my house. Two, that man was most likely a werewolf, a powerful one at that. Three, I was in all new clothes, meaning all my weapons were missing. Four, I had no clue where I was. Five, I had no clue how long I had been unconscious.
The rattling of a door knob had my body twisting to the one locked door of the room. It was obvious whoever was coming in had a key, meaning they knew where I was and why I was here.
Quick as I could, I ran to the corner of the room. I stayed standing, making sure there was no way anything could get behind me due to the intersection of the walls. I also took a tight hold of a pencil I had found on the desk in the room, hiding it behind my back.
"I'm coming in," A deep voice warned. I but my lip at the smoothness of the sound, having to mentally shake my head clear.
I didn't say a word as the same man who had appeared in my house walked into the strange bedroom. He looked wary of entering. Good.
"Where am I?" I asked. I knew how to act scared, how to make myself sound terrified to cause my enemies to underestimate me.
The man narrowed his eyes and shook his head. "Are you hungry?" He completely ignored my question, making me want to scowl.
I was hungry, but I wasn't taking food from these beasts. "I want to go home," I stated quietly.
I want to be as far away from you as possible.
A sigh passed his lips. "My name is Chase. Chase Brian." The man looked at me expectantly, but I didn't say a word. "What's your name?"
"Why am I here? Why did you take me?" There was no way in hell I was telling this monster my name.
Another frustrated sigh left Chase's mouth, causing me to frown. I was being frustrating?
Yeah, try being kidnapped, dude.
"This will be a lot easier if you answer my questions," Chase growled. Physically growled, as if he was beyond irritated.
I pretended to coward away, trembling my bottom lip. "I'm sorry," I whimpered. God, apologizing to a beast? All new low.
Chase looked to be having a debate with himself, his eyes guarded yet his forehead creased in concentration. It honestly frightened me. Why hadn't he killed me by now? What was he keeping me around for? How long was he going to keep me alive?
I've got to find a way out.
"I won't hurt you. Please, tell me your name," Chase asked again. There was a slight plead in his voice.
I remained silent. I refused to say another word until I had some of my own answers. That way, I could form some kind of plan around them.
My eyes focused in on Chase taking a step closer towards me. I pretended to jump in fright and press my back against the wall.
Get out of here, Jacks!
I wanted to scowl at my conscious. Of course I was trying to get out of here, but I had to be smart about it.
Chase put is hands up, showing me his palms. There was a small scar on his right palm, a lighter color than the rest of his tanned skin.
"I swear, I won't hurt you. I need you to come with me," Chase said.
I shook my head, again, as if I was terrified of this man.
Oh, how I want to rip your throat out.
This time, I agreed with my conscious. It was so hard to keep the smirk off my lips and my grip on the pencil still hidden behind my back tightened. My fingers almost hurt from the pressure.
"Listen. I know you have a pencil behind your back and I want to tell you that that won't do a thing to me. I will heal practically as soon as I pull it out of wherever you choose to stab me," Chase rolled his eyes as he spoke, now obviously annoyed with my 'antics.'
"Don't roll your eyes at me," I whispered. Chase snapped his eyes to mine again.
"Excuse me?" He growled a small growl, his fingers tightening into fists.
"You kidnapped me. You demand answers from me. You act as if you have done nothing wrong! I'm lost and scared and just terrified right now. So don't roll your eyes at me!" I forced tears into my eyes, still not dropping the pencil but bringing it to my side since he already knew I had it.
Chase stood there, shocked. His eyes were once bright green, but they were swirling black. That really did scare me, I had never seen a werewolf, even in human form, do that before. They were always just black.
Before I knew it, Chase was directly in front of me. He caught my wrist as I tried to plunge the pencil into his neck, wincing when his shoulder moved back a little bit. Trying to stab him in the neck was slightly hard thanks to his height. He was a good five inches taller than I was and standing just inches away from my body.
It all happened in a second. First, my weapon hand was disabled and my other hand caught as well when I went to punch Chase in the ribs. He pressed both my hands into the wall above my head, pressing his body into mine. When I went to knee him in the crotch, he stepped so he had my leg that was between his trapped by his muscled thighs.
Oh, shit.
I was in trouble now. I was completely trapped. Trying to yank my hands free proved useless, for Chase was much stronger than I was. My only free leg could do one thing, wrap around his waist.
I would die before I used seduction to get free of a monster.
"Don't cry...God, tell me your name," Chase commanded. His face was inches from mine and I silently begged him not to kill me.
He didn't look like he would kill me, but his eyes told otherwise. They were still pitch black, no color in them at all.
"Get off of me," I whimpered. More tears fell down my face, and I told myself I cried on purpose even though I was definitely scared right now.
Trapped. I didn't like being trapped. My finger twitched, the familiar longing of holding a pistol in them was aching for me to grab something.
"Don't cry," Chase whispered. He leaned forwards and I held my breathe. What was he doing?
Oh, hell no.
Chase kissed my cheek, right where a tear was falling. Tingles erupted on my skin, confusing me. My muscles tensed and my eyes snapped shut as I forced myself not to lash out on him; I didn't want to die right now.
"Stop. Stop!" When he trailed his lips to be right above mine, I flipped. I couldn't sit still any longer and my mind went into overdrive.
"Help! Somebody, help me!" The screams left my mouth before I could stop them. Soon enough, Chase was shushing me.
"It's okay. It's okay, I'm sorry. Ssh, it's okay." Chase tried to sooth me, but I wasn't calming down until he wasn't touching me anymore. I didn't like the tingles going through my body right now. They were practically suffocating.
"Get off of me! Let go!" I ordered. My voice came out strong, worrying me that I gave away my cover.
Chase was soon stepping away. He didn't go far, but at least he wasn't touching me.
I took several deep breathes to calm down, wiping my face with my hands. Another deep breathe.
Don't try to kill him, yet.
"You said I needed to go somewhere with you. If you promise to never do that again, I'll go," I stated as calmly as I could. I refused to look in his eyes, only focusing on his chest that was covered by a dark blue shirt.
"I can't promise that," Chase stated. This time, I couldn't stop myself from locking eyes with him. "I can promise that I won't do anything to harm you or hurt you."
"What if I don't believe you?" I questioned.
"Then I will drag you along with me until you agree to walk yourself," Chase answered. His eyes told me he wasn't playing games anymore, even if they were back to their original blue color.
I nodded, taking in this information. Damn, he was bipolar.
"Fine. Lead the way."
----
"What is this?" I snapped my head to Chase's, again making sure I sounded frightened.
"It's a questioning room," Chase answered in a mumbling tone. He met my eyes and offered a small smile, which I didn't return.
"Questioning room?" My voice got a little higher, giving away that I was beginning to panic.
That's what you think, wolf.
"I already promised we won't hurt you," Chase assured me, leading to me sit in the only chair in the room.
"We?!" I shrieked, as if the thought of more people shocked me. I knew there were bound to be more wolves around here. This guy was a part of that pack outside my house, I'm sure of it. The fact that we had walked through a huge house before reaching this room in the basement just egged on that theory.
Just before Chase could respond, the door we had walked through opened again. A man came in, almost as tall as Chase but with a much more threatening looking outfit.
He wore all black. Plain black shirt that clung to his muscles, black jeans that hugged his butt, and black combat boots that thudded on the floor. Even a military style haircut.
Ooh, he was hot...sadly a wolf though. Beast.
"What's your name?" The man demanded. His tone wasn't as soft as Chase's had been. This guy meant business.
"What's yours?" I asked back.
The man glanced at Chase before back at me. "My name is Blake."
"Blake's a hot name," I blurted out, acting embarrassed I had said that afterwards.
A low growl echoed in the room from behind me, obviously coming from Chase. Blake only chuckled.
"Thanks," Blake acknowledged.
"I don't like him standing behind me. It scares me that I can't see him," I said as Blake had started to speak again. He stopped and nodded.
"Chase?" Blake gestured for Chase to come stand beside him. The thudding of his steps told me he was doing as I asked.
When he could see me, he smiled.
Yeah, I just didn't want you attacking me from behind, dip shit.
"Okay. Are you ready to answer our questions now?" Blake locked eyes with me and crossed his arms, immediately turning right back into the intimidating man who had walked in.
