The next day, Kakashi wanted us to meet him by the bridge because he had something important to tell us. I knew he was gonna be late, so I lazily lied down on the couch.

"Eita, what are you doing lying on the couch? We have to meet Kakashi-sensei by the bridge in a few minutes." Naruto said. He's gonna be late himself, so I don't see the point in rushing there," I said with my hands behind my head. "Come here and cuddle with me."

"Not right now. We have to go. Come on, get up." Naruto said. He grabbed my wrist with both hands and tried tugging me off the couch. "But I don't wanna go. It's probably not that important. Let me stay here the rest of the day with you." I whined.

"We can do that after we see what Kakashi wants." Naruto said, tugging me a little harder. I quickly grabbed him and pulled him onto the couch, pulling him under me. I smirked down at him and began kissing his neck.

"Give me a break, Eita. We can't do this right now. Get off me." Naruto whined, trying to push me off of him. I pouted and rested my chin on his chest. "Then, can we have some fun when we get back?" I pleaded. "Yeah, fine." Naruto said.

I reluctantly got off Naruto and sat up, still pouting. Naruto noticed and sat up before pecking my lips. "Don't pout like that. It makes me feel bad." He said before kissing my cheek. I smiled, then hugged him,  snuggling into his chest.

Naruto and I walked to the bridge as we held each other's hands. "You two are late!" Sakura said, pointing at the two of us. I gave her a deadpan expression; I never did like her. "Kakashi's not here either, so I don't see the crime of us being late as well." I mentioned.

Sasuke looked at me and I avoided eye contact with him. Ever since that incident in the woods, I've been doing my best to avoid him. "Hey, guys," Kakashi greeted as he showed up. "Sorry, I'm late. I got lost on the path of life."

I rolled my eyes. "Bullshit." I mumbled. "Anyway, I've decided to let the four of you compete in the Chunin Exams." Kakashi said. "I guess what he had to say was important after all." I said to Naruto. "I thought he was gonna tell us that we had another mission." Naruto replied.

"Here are your passes. The exams start tomorrow at 3 o'clock. Make sure you're not late." Kakashi informed, handing us our passes. "All right! Kakashi-sensei, you rock!" Naruto said, jumping on him and hugging him.

"Hey, don't slobber on my vest!" Kakashi said, making him let go. "Chunin Exams, huh?" I said, staring my pass.

According to Teruko, before she quit being a ninja, when she competed in the Chunin Exams, she said that she had to take a written test, a part two of the exam, and then a sparing match. Thinking about it now, all of it feels like such a pain.

Maybe I should just bail and save myself the trouble.

Once Kakashi dismissed us, Naruto and I began walking home. "This is gonna be awesome!" Naruto said as he held his pass. "I think I'm gonna bail." I informed. "What?! Why?! Don't you want to become a Chunin?!" Naruto asked.

"Not really. Just thinking about it all feels like a total drag." I mentioned. "You been around Shikamaru too long. You're starting to sound like him." Naruto complained. I gave a small chuckle. "Sorry." I apologized.

"Come on, Eita! Participate in the exams with me! Pretty please!" Naruto begged as he hung onto me like a little kid. "Aww. How can I resist that face?" I said, ruffling his hair. "All right. I guess I'll go through with it."

"All right!" Naruto cheered. "But before we go home, we should get some practice in first to make sure we're prepared for whatever we're going to be up against." I suggested. "Right." He agreed with a nod.

We walked to the training grounds and the moment we got there, it started to get all foggy. "What the heck's going on? Where did all this fog come from?" Naruto asked. "Something's definitely not right here." I said, looking around.

I gasped when a kunai knife was lunged at me. It grazed my cheek while cutting off the lace of the eyepatch. 

"Eita, are you all right?" Naruto asked, worriedly. "Yeah, I'm fine. It just startled me." I said, covering Inari's eye. "Watch out!" Naruto quickly tackling me to the ground while dodging a kunai knife that was lunged at us.

We both grunted when we made impact with the ground, then heard insane laughing as a Rain ninja appeared on a tree branch. "What the hell's going on out there?!" Inari yelled. I uncovered my eye, allowing her to see what I was seeing.

"Great, what does this guy want?" Inari asked. "Your guess is as good as mine," I replied as I stood to my feet while helping Naruto up as well. "Naruto, let's take this guy down quickly."

"Just what I was thinking." Naruto said. "Yeah! Go get 'em, guys!" Inari encouraged us. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto made multiple clones of himself and had them charge at the Rain ninja. I ran with them and the ninja laughed.

"You think that will be enough to stop me?!" He yelled before throwing his umbrella in the air. I gasped when the umbrella opened and shot out senbon needles along with some other weapons. But I kept running forward as I quickly made some hand signs.

"Ice Style: Great Wind Blizzard!"

I breathed out a snow blizzard, freezing the weapons and making them turn into ice until they fell to the ground. The rain ninja jumped to the ground and began fighting Naruto's clones. He was way more skilled than I thought because he was beating the clones like they were nothing. 

All of the clones were defeated as they turned into small puffs of smoke. Both Naruto and I began fighting the rain ninja ourselves with taijutsu. We were at it for a while until the rain ninja threw Naruto into me and started running the other way.

"He's getting away!" Naruto said. "Like hell he is!" I placed my hand on the ground and had ice encase the surface as it reached towards the escaping ninja. When it finally got to him, the ice froze his feet to the ground, stopping the ninja in his tracks.

"Now! Go get him, Naruto!" I said. "Right!" Naruto replied. He lunged at the rain ninja and tackled him to the ground. "Who are you? What do you want?" Naruto demanded, shaking the ninja. "Huh? What the hell?!" 

"What's wrong, Naruto?" I asked, running over to them. "It's a dummy!" He said. "What?" I looked at the Rain ninja and Naruto was right. The ninja we were fighting before was replaced with a straw dummy. "He must've ran off. What a coward." Naruto said, getting off the dummy. 

"Not quite, you brats!"

We both turned around, spotting the Rain ninja in a different tree. "Get down here so we can finish this, you coward!" Naruto yelled up at him. "I wouldn't get so cocky if I were you! It won't be that easy at the Chunin Exams!" The Rain ninja yelled back. 

He disappeared into the fog without another word. "Hey, get back here!" Naruto yelled. He went to run after him, but I stopped him by grabbing his wrist. "Let him go, Naruto. If we ever see him again, we'll be ready," I assured him. Naruto smiled at me and gave a nod of agreement.

I looked around the field as the fog began to clear. "Come on, let's go home."

"Yeah."

Before we went home, we stopped by the store to get myself a new eyepatch since it got sliced off by that Rain ninja. Once we were home, I went into the kitchen, going through the cabinets. "What are you looking for, Eita?" Naruto asked as he took off his headband.

"I'm looking for some sake." I answered. "This early in the afternoon?! No way!" Naruto said, getting me away from the cabinets.

"Don't be such a stick in the mud, Naruto! I'm just gonna have a little bit!" I whined as I tried to go back to them, but Naruto keeping me away from them as much as he can.

"Forget it! I'm not letting you get drunk on me! If you pass out, I'll have to drag you to your room!" Naruto complained. "I had to carry you to your room when you got drunk. It'd be fair if you returned the favor," I mentioned.

"But I won't pass out on you. Besides, I can hold in my alcohol." 

"I'm not giving you any sake, Eita." Naruto said, bluntly. "You're so mean!" I complained, frowning slightly. I sighed before smirking at him. "Fine. Have it your way."

"I will!"

I picked up Naruto and threw him over my shoulder before casually carrying him down the hall. "Oi, Eita! What do you think you're doing?! Cut it out! Put me down!" Naruto screamed as he squirmed. "You're surprisingly light, you know that?" I mentioned. 

"Stop acting as if you don't hear me! Come on, put me down already! I'm serious! Let me go!" Naruto continued to scream. Once I got to his room, I threw him down on his bed. "There. I let you go." I said before crawling on top of him. 

"E-Eita... What are you doing...?" Naruto stuttered as he blushed. "You're so cute when you blush," I kissed his cheek, then licked down his neck. "Why don't you have some fun with me, Naruto? You promised me you would this morning." I reminded him.

My hand went to his jacket and I unzipped as I began kissing the soft spot on his neck. Naruto flinched slightly as he closed his eyes as I felt his body shuddering. I noticed a small tint of pink made its way on his cheeks as I slid my hand under his shirt.

"I love you, Naruto." I whispered before gently nipping his skin. Naruto gave a soft moan as he grabbed my shoulders. "Wait just a second!" He sat up while slightly pushing me off him. "Did you already get into the sake?" He asked. 

"Hmm... I don't think so." I said, innocently. "Then, why are you so affectionate today?" Naruto asked, bluntly. "I can't show my affection towards you?" I asked, kissing his cheek. "I didn't say that. I just..." Naruto began to trail off as I started nibbling his ear.

Naruto's POV

Why is he so irresistible? Every time we kiss, we touch, or feel his lips on my skin, I feel like I'm under his spell. I keep melting into his touch, it's hard for me to think. "Eita..." I moaned softly when I felt his hand slid its way under my shirt again.

I closed my eyes, feeling his fingers play with my nipple. My face turned red as I could feel my body get hot. Eita lifted my shirt enough to reveal my chest and began kissing my skin. "Eita..." Soft moans poured out of my mouth as Eita continued to tease me. 

Eita's POV

I kissed my way back towards Naruto's neck until I met his lips. I licked his bottom lip for entrance, in which he granted it, and slid my tongue into his mouth. Naruto moaned against my lips, making me smile as I moved my knee in between his legs.

Naruto was the only person I needed to keep me out of the darkness. Nothing else mattered but Naruto. 

However, I wasn't able to stay by his side like I promised because that day... that day changed everything. That day, I was taken away from the one I loved.

Quick A/N: I'm gonna be lazy and skip the Chunin Exams. Sorry, guys. But I don't think I have the energy to write out all of the Chunin Exams, so we're gonna skip all of that. Catch you in the next update!
