Stupid alarm

Why does it have to be 6 am already?

I sigh and pick up the ball next to me, throwing it at the snooze button. Bullseye, perfect.

I should get up, I need to go to school. At least I'll see Max there.

I go to the closet and pick out my outfit for today. White shirt, jeans, simple shoes. I get dressed, then go get myself some food. Just as I'm done eating my mother comes in, with my sister right behind her. My mother gives me a hug while my sister walks to the cupboard. She looks like she hasn't slept again.

''Were you on your phone all night again.''

She gives me a death stare, proving me right, then goes back to digging around in the cupboard. I pick up my plate and dump it in the sink, then get my bags and go wait in the living room. As usual, I wait quite a while for them. Finally, we're driving to school.

At the school gate I jump out of the car, waving a quick goodbye to them, then run to my locker, where I know he'll be waiting. When I get there, he's calmly standing next to it, waving to me. I wave back, then run straight into his waiting arms. He hugs me, and I hug him back. He smells like cinnamon and apple, and his body is warm. I snuggle closer.
