Part 1 of 2
Sorry this chapter isn't the best! I wrote thos chapter at multiple different times, so it may not be the best chapter, but I'm definitely gonna try my hardest to work on this book a lot! I have a lot of ideas for future seasons that connect everything together, but I have to focus on this season first. 😅

PREVIOUSLY on Escape the Night, Violam and Toxia get sent into Gaston's "Death Challenge". Fortunately for them, Gaston isn't the smartest tool in the box, and both managed to get away alive.  That won't happen again.

{ For this chapter, I used a randomizer wheel to choose partners! So I'm not being biased with my choices lol }

"Good job guests, you now have two of right roses" Angel says trying to lighten it up a little bit.

"More of us have to die though" April says bitterly.

Viola~ I appreciate Angel trying to makes us feel better, but April is right. Six of us still have to die.

Coral was about to add onto something, when a shriek was heard.

"Oh great. What is it this time?" Cyrus asked annoyed.

Jasper went out cautiously, backing up a little at seeing the Evil Queen.

"All of you out here now!" The Evil Queen yelled.

Angel and Jasper went out first so if the woman tried anything, they would have to go through them first.

"What do you want?" Angel glared at her.  "Well, I'm glad you asked. I'm in need of a new stock of poison apples, and I heard of the...little group over there." The Evil Queen said emotionlessly.

"I want you to split into five groups of two.  There's give apples so each group has to find one apple each. The apples are not yet poisonous, that will be one of your next steps. Where you can find the apples are in the mazes behind me.  Each group has their own maze that they need to make it to the end to earn the apple.  I'll save the punishment for later, so the last group to find the apple will not be harmed in any way." The Evil Queen stated.

Maddison~ atleast if you're the last group nothing bad happens, unless that's what she wants us to think?

"I'll assign your groups, so no need to rush to your "bff" if that's what the kids call it these days, so line up in a horizontal lines so I can see all of you" the Queen says.

The group does as their told and lines up in a horizontal line. The Evil Queen scans the group, "how about you, and you." She points to Violam and Maddison.

"Go stand over there" the Queen points to a random area.

"Hmm, okay. That girl, and her" she points to Celeste and Toxia who go stand over next to Violam, and Maddison but a little farther.

"You two" The Queen points to Cyrus, and Alexis, leaving Viola, Zeke, April and Coral.

"Then, I guess you two will be partners" The Evil Queen gestures to Viola and Coral.

"And that leaves you two" The Queen says to Zeke and April.

"So now that you all have your partners. Get out of my sight and go fetch my apples" The Evil Queen says harshly.

Alexis~ Lazy much? Go get your own apples.

The groups all headed off into different directions.

With Cyrus { omg it kept autocorrecting 'Cyrus' into 'Chris' everytime I typed Cyrus, that kept me busy for two minutes 🤦🏻‍♀️ } and Alexis.

Cyrus~ I'm feeling way more relaxed now that we don't really have a time limit, but I still don't want to take forever.

"Okay, so obviously apples can be found in trees, so should we look for them there?" Cyrus suggested.

"I feel like that's too easy though, she would just be handing them to us" Alexis muttered. "Yeah, I guess you're right" Cyrus agreed.

They looked around for a little bit before Cyrus found something.  "Hey! Look so there are some in the trees, but they're really high up into them" Cyrus told Alexis.

Alexis~ that tree is like a mountain, literally.

"No wonder why she's making us go get them for her" Cyrus commented.

"Okay, I feel like we should both climb up there just in case one is faster than the other when climbing" Alexis told Cyrus, who nodded.

They both started to climb up the tree, trying to reach the apples but not fall. It wasn't too hard, minus the fact they slipped every once awhile.

Cyrus~ Climbing trees is really hard
:( especially when they're about mountain sized

Alexis was the first to reach an apple, "Okay, I got one. Let's slowly and carefully try to make our way down."

"You don't have to tell me twice" Cyrus said to himself, although Alexis heard it and quietly laughed.

With Celeste and Toxia

Celeste~ So Toxia and I went off to the lake area, so I thought there might be apples around here.  I mean, if I was an apple I wouldn't mind to be near a lake.

"If I were an apple, where would I be?" Celeste asked herself.

"Well if I were picked already, probably in a carrier of some sorts, but if I weren't, Probably in a tree" Toxia wrote on her board.

Celeste gasped, "oh you're right! If they were already picked they could be in a house, or a carrier!"

Toxia smiled, and they began to walk around the lake. 

Toxia~ *writing on her board* Y'know, if we weren't in a life threatening situation, I'm sure I really would've enjoyed this area.

As they were walking, Celeste narrowed her eyes as she sees something in the distance.  "Hey, Toxia do you see that?" Celeste asked the other girl.  "Nope" Toxia wrote on her board.

"Over in the South, I think? There's a cabin or building of some sorts." Celeste pointed out.

"So, I'm assuming it's in the building" Toxia wrote on her board.  Celeste nodded, "most likely."

The two girls headed over to the cabin. Toxia was about to walk on when Celeste held her back.  "How do we know if the house is safe though? Y'know those movies where the important item is in an area, and when you take it everything falls apart? So they usually find something else with the same weight to hold everything down!" Celeste told Toxia who just kept staring at her blankly.

Toxia~ *on her board* There's a part of me that doesn't think this will work, but I'll just go along with it just in case

Celeste~ I feel like a spy right now o((*^▽^*))o

"Okay, so we all know what an apple weights somewhat, so maybe find a rock that would feel the same?" Celeste tells Toxia who nodded.

They both went searching for a decent size rock to replace the apple.

"So, um what if there isn't actually an apple inside the cabin, and we just brought a rock for nothing" Toxia wrote on her board, while Celeste picked out a decent size rock.

"Better safe than sorry?" Celeste said as more of a question.

The two made their way back into the cabin.

Toxia opened the door to the cabin, it was a one story floor so it shouldn't take too long to search for an apple. 

Toxia went to the kitchen part of the cabin while Celeste went to the resting area.

Toxia checked a cabinet, and there in front of her was an apple.

Toxia~ *on her board* it was that easy?

Toxia went to where Celeste was and nudged her to follow her.
"Oh you found the apple! It was that easy?" Celeste asked Toxia who nodded.

Celeste shrugged before throwing the rock behind her, which hit a window and caused it to shatter.

Celeste grabbed the apple and headed out of the cabin. Toxia looked at the shattered window and shook her head before following Celeste.

With Viola, Coral, Violam, and Maddison

"So which path do you guys want to go down?" Coral asked the other group.

There was two paths, the picnic path and the waterfall path.

"Which path do you guys want to go on?" Violam asked the two girls.

"Which path do you guys want to use" Viola added. 

"We're fine with either path" Maddison said to Viola and Coral.

"Well, we're fine with either path aswell" Coral said.

"We're going to be here forever, look you and Violam go down the right path since you're closest to it, and Coral and I will go down the left path since it's closest to us." Viola suggested. 

"Yeah, might as well. We'll be here forever if not" Violam agreed.

"Okay, see you all soon" Maddison waved by to the two girls who both waved back.

Maddison and Violam walked down the picnic path, "honestly this shouldn't be too hard considering it's the picnic path and we're looking for an apple." Maddison said as she looked around.

"Yeah, hopefully we didn't Jynx it" Violam said.

They continued walking down the path, and soon arrived at a little area with and red and white checkered blanket with a basket on the top of it. 

"Well that was pretty easy" Violam said, confusion laced in his tone. 

"A little too easy" Maddison added on. "Oh well I'm not complaining" She added before sitting down next to the basket and opening it up.

Violam~ that was a little too easy, I mean I'm not complaining. It just a little odd?

Violam reached in the basket and pulled out a red apple.  "Well that was easy" Maddison said a little shocked. Violam and Maddison got off of the picnic blanket and headed back to the evil queen.

With April and Zeke

"Okay, how come we get a maze?" Zeke complained.  April groaned, and put her face into her hands. 

April~ of course, we have the maze. Out of all groups, we got pointed into the maze direction.

"To make this faster one of us goes left, and the other right" Zeke told April who nodded in agreement.

April went right, and Zeke went left.  On Zeke's side, there was a lot of thorns on the bushes, so he tried his best to avoid them. Not avoiding them all, but most.

On April's side, there is a lot of vines covering her way. 

April~ I literally can't see anything, and I have to crawl in between the vines, which are pretty hard to get past.

"Have you found anything yet?" Zeke called over from his side.  "No, I haven't yet" April replied as she was in the middle of climbing in between a few vines.

Zeke got past his side of the maze first, and April finishing a minute later.  From their sides of the maze both connected to the very middle of the maze. 

Zeke~ in the middle of the maze has the apple that we need!

Zeke grabbed the apple and turned to april, "so maybe we should go back on my side, considering the vines aren't the easiest way"
"You won't see me complaining" April agreed and the two began walking towards the evil queen.

With Viola and Coral

Viola and Coral finished their walk down their path to the waterfall. 

There was nothing around the waterfall, besides a lake carrying the waterfall water somewhere else.

Viola~ So there's nothing near the waterfall, so how can an apple be over here?

"So um, I'm not seeing anywhere an apple could be" Coral said confused.

"Um, okay well..." Viola started to look around, as Coral put her hand through the water.

"Hey Viola, you know the old Alvin and the chipmunks chipwrecked where they can go through the waterfall or something?" Coral said hoping the other girl would catch on.

"So maybe the apple is behind the waterfall!" Viola continued. 

"Okay, let's just hope this isn't wrong and we get our clothes wet for nothing." Coral said as they both get ready to go behind the waterfall.

The two walk through the water, getting their clothes soaked, but there behind the waterfall is an apple.

Viola~ of thank goodness we didn't go behind the waterfall for nothing

"We did it!" Coral cheered and they both smiled.

The headed back towards the evil queen.

With everyone and the evil queen

"I see you all collected your apples, very good." The Evil Queen collected all the apples from every group.

"So do we get a rose now?" Cyrus asked her.

"Yeah, we collected you're apples for you" Alexis added.

"No, I'm not done with you all. I need two of you to create me a poisonous apple. The one to finishes first gets to keep their life, and the one who fails gets severally punished.  So, who will it be?" The Evil Queen told them.

The guest all looked at each other with worried looks.
