CHAPTER 1
PORSCHE'S POV:
Phaw threw me against the wall again as if I was a rag doll exclusively carved for him to satisfy his ego and take his wrath out on. He never needed any reason to hit me and this time was no different.
"I hate this wretched face of yours!" His voice screeched through the desolate room. It had become a regular routine for him to curse me out whenever he felt like it.
"Tch! Your eyes. Are they stones? You...You seriously disgust me." He expressed his displeasure towards my eyes that seemed to have lost their shine or fear. It was true indeed. I could feel like they were just smoothly rough pebbles sitting in my skull socket.
"Only if you and your existence could somehow disappear, I would be able to stay happily with my beautiful wife. I hate that father of yours who caused such condition of my wife. And seeing how much you resemble him even though you are Namphueng's son makes me nauseous." He continued as he tapped on his cigerette over the ashtray but stopped midway.
His eyes flicked up towards me as an evil grin spread across his features. The cigerette was withdrawn from it's place at once as he started marching towards me with the cig inbetween his fingers still, making me widen my eyes fearing what was coming next.
He bent down to my height and seizing my mouth with his hand rendered me incapable of producing any sound. A deep chuckle left his throat as his other hand swung up with the half lit cigerette and pressed it deep into the skin beside my chin making me scream in agony but the sound couldn't even escape my throat. His hand firmly blocked every little noise from going out of my mouth while his other hand kept burrowing it deep into my skin. Tears started streaming down my face as I sat there feeling helpless and in immense pain. My whole body was already frozen as a trauma response to the situation and no matter how hard I tried to, none of my reflexes seemed to work. My previously stony eyes were now filled with terror to say the least and mind could only pray for everything to end soon.
"See? Your eyes can show emotions! So keep it in that little head of your that show this terror whenever you see me. KNOW YOUR GOD DAMNED PLACE." He said while grinding his teeth making me want to attack him but all I could do was blame the situation and the creator for giving me such a cruel fate.
"Dinner's ready. Mae's monotonous voice echoed through the room. Her eyes fell on me who was slumped on the ground and was groaning in pain but like always her nonchalant self didn't care about any of it and she left the scene after informing whatever she wanted to.
"Tch! Lucky bas*ard." He clicked his tongue in displeasure as he got up.
"Get up and wash that good-for-nothing face of yours. Your mae must be waiting for us." He gave a last look of disgust before leaving the room. I curled up into a ball as soon as he left the room and started sobbing bitterly into my knees. The tears were making the burnt wound feel worse. No clue if it was the physical wound that hurt so much or the emotional wound of having to accept the unfortunate fate bestowed upon me, that made the tears stream down endlessly.
"Will this e-ever e-end?" I questioned myself but failed to receive an answer. A few moments later my body finally got up from the ground not wanting to disobey the given orders and risk facing consequences.
At dining table:
"Just who do you take after to be so slow?" Phaw commented.
He remarked even though he knew that my hands were shivering from how sharply he was burrowing his nails into my thigh.
He let go of me after he was done with his dinner and got up from the table with a devilish smirk.
After he retired to his room, the night went normal. I completed whatever assignment was given to me, looked out the window to observe the occasional passerbys and treated the recent wounds that I had acquired.
And just like that the night went away in the blink of an eye and a new day came in.
Like everyday, I got everything packed, had my breakfast and left for school before phaw could get a hold of me and sighed in relief as soon as I was out of the house.
The birds were chirping peacefully, Som aunt was sweeping the road infront her shop before opening it, parents were dropping their kindergartener's off at the bus stop and a few office workers were already leaving for their workplace. The atmosphere was bustling like everyday making me feel a little happy.
At school:
The classes till lunch went normally. But at lunch something really unexpected happened.
"Porsche! Ar-Arthit is on the rooftop!!" A classmate informed me.
Arthit was one of my good friends whose proposal I had turned down and hoped for him to respect my choice and refrain from courting me anymore.
I ran up to the playground and looked up to see arthit standing on the edge of the rooftop. The weather was really bad, dark clouds had already enveloped the sky and thunderstorms were growling.
"Arthit!! Please come down!!" I screamed hoping for my voice to reach him. I begged him to stop the act but he was no longer in his right mind.
"Arthit pl-please don't do this" I begged.
"I loved you Porsche. With all my heart, I really loved you but you didn't care about any of it. WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LOVE ME BACK?!!" He screamed.
"Arth-" My voice got stuck in my throat.
'Is having a choice, wanting to have a little control over my life and wanting to take my own decisions really such a great sin? If other's are free to do so then why am I not?' My mind spiraled as countless thoughts occupied it amidst the panic.
"You really shouldn't have turned down my proposal Porsche..." Were his last words before he let go of his body and surged through the winds. He feels down the floors and landed right infront of me. Blood splattered from his body the moments his body touched the ground splashing the red fluid across my face and torso.
My ears went numb at once. The side-watchers had already rushed to the main stage pushing me to the back of the crowd but I was in a trace to realise any of it. I heaved in disbelief as I looked around myself. The watchers who had chose to stay away from the crowd were staring at me and occasionally murmuring something about me to their friends. The whole place looked red as the sound of the metallic ring in my ears kept increasing until I could no longer bear with it and saw the surroundings going dark before losing the strength in my legs. I felt the impact of my head hitting the ground as a small crowd approached me before the lights finally went out.
A few hours later:
I woke up a few hours later and looked around to find myself on the sick bed of our school. The tending nurse came to at once, once I was up and injected me with some unknown substance.
"I advice you to rest for now." She said firmly.
"H-hows Arthit?" I asked.
She hesitated for a little.
"Died on the spot. His parents were devastated and were blaming you for everything that happened but the principal took the matters into her own hands and thankfully succeeded in bringing them under control. I advice you to stay here until the atmosphere outside cools down a little." She said and I nodded silently before turning to the side and completely covering myself with the blanket.
"Ofcourse that had to happen. They say bad things happen to people who had sinned. No wonder am suffering like this. You are terrible sinner Porsche, stop crying as if you are the victim. YOU DON'T DESERVE TO CRY. You deserve every bit of whatever's happening with you." I cursed myself out as I kept biting onto my hand to stop my tears. It wasn't long before I felt a metallic taste on my tongue and realised that the force that ruptured my skin.
"How useless" I whispered before turning onto the other side and drifting off.
A few hours later I was woken up by the nurse who gave me a green signal to leave the room.
"They left. Go home." She informed.
I got up silently and showed myself out. I was surrounded yet felt isolated. There were a number of displeased glances and kids murmured wherever I went. I laughed at the cruel fate that I didn't even have a single friend whom I could count on. Afterall, everyone knew of my background and didn't want to get associated with someone like me.
Lacking in confidence and trust towards others had also played quite a great part in the loneliness. And with Arthit, the only friend I ever had, gone, the situation had become tremendously worse.
I reached my locker to pick up my stuff and found "MURDERER" spray painted on my locker. The kids were staring at me as if I was a criminal and some had even started calling me a murderer.
"Everything's always somehow my fault. Isn't that so?" I thought before swinging my backpack over my shoulders and running out of the school campus in search of a place where I could end it all...
