This is a very important issue.

I'm not sure how many of you guys have heard of Article 13, but it will change the internet and how people post their works online forever.

Drafts of Article 13 have already been accepted and is now going to be voted on with its final draft.

And if it passes, then every single creator in Europe will no longer be able to post any sort of fan work or any work that has copyright claims.

(I know that this is an extremely poor explanation. That's why you should watch the video.)

So let's say that I live in Europe, and I want to post more HTTYD stories on Wattpad and Ao3.

I still explain that I own nothing of the original work and it all belongs to its original creators. But if Article 13 were to get passed, then my work that I had posted will be taken down because of this.

Article 13 makes the internet copyright regulations in Europe even more strict than they already are, concerning content with copyright claims.

You need to spread the word. This is so much more damaging than Net Neutrality.

This will change the internet for everybody in the worst possible way imaginable. Millions of people could lose their jobs because they earn a living fro the internet and the things they upload.

So please, do something before the internet is ruined,

It may only affect Europe if passed, but it'll eventually spread around the world, affecting every internet user.
