- N I G H T M A R E

"Nightmare dear, Happy birthday! God will always bless you." That person smiled genuinely at me with a sweet expression. He's the only one my friend. He's the only my true friend that always keep me company and never alone. He really cares about me and never forget about me when I'm in a dark condition.

Error had became house maid since 18 years old. He had taken care of me when I was in elementary school where my mom died at that time. I was Nightmare, The prince of darkness and nightmares while my twin brother named Dream, The prince of positivity and dreams. Both of us were polar opposites. Error take cares of me while Ink take cares of Dream.

We all live in the castle alone with the guards protecting the castle from any cause of harm and injury. My family was really rich so I never get any problem for Money or bills. Error was my friend and also my mom. He always stay by my side and being so nice to me. He's more kind than my own brother and mother.

But, I treat him really harsh and rough...

"Wake up Nighty, It's time to go to school." Error smiled as he opened the curtains widely and opened the window. The fresh air flows inside the room along with the sunlight that hit the brim of my eyes. I heard birds were chirping loudly as well Error waking me out by moving my shoulders gently. 

I growled while hissing at the bright sunlight hits my eyes. I covered myself in the dark blue blanket while looking away from him. I pushed his hands away harshly, "No! Just tell them that I am sick! I don't want to go to school!" I could feel a slight hurt feelings inside my chest for acting harsh to her but I thought that was just my imagination.

"Nightmare dear, Stop playing games. Don't you have exams tomorrow? I don't want you to fail because of playing games." Error smiled as he patted my back softly, Trying to pull my video games away from me gently. I didn't hear him, Instead I kicked his stomach roughly while pushing his hands away from me harshly.

"Who are you telling me what to do!? You're nothing but a maid! IF my mom doesn't hire you, Maybe you are in the street, Begging for money!" I yelled at her face, Shutting down my video games as I stood up from my sofa. His eyes widened in shock, His movement body was freeze as his face held no emotions. I ran to my room immediately, Leaving her alone to regret her life and decision.

"Nighty, It's time for you to sleep. It's getting late." Error smiled again at me while standing beside me who was reading a history book. He looked at the book and just chuckled softly, "History huh?" He mumbled, Looking to the window where a lot of shiny sparkling stars showed. Ugh that sweet smile that he always wear. Why he didn't just leave me alone, I don't need him at all. I just want peace.

"Don't you tell me to study? Now why don't you let me study now?" I huffed, Ignoring him and kept reading the book. I really hate him, I just want him to die already. Dream is Lucky enough to get a perfect maid, While me, Getting a piece of glitchy trash. I mean why mom would afford a maid like him? His face is already like a trash. Nothing is beautiful in him. His behavior is like someone who's from the dumps. Not formal or obedient.

Error sighed, "Well I don't want you to overwork yourself. You will get tired. You will be sleepy in the class and won't focus to the lessons." There he goes, Reasoning again. Why would he care about me? I'm nothing but just a prince. Maybe he just wants me to trust him so he will get my moneys and acts like a king. Well that won't happen.

"Leave me alone, I don't need you." I sternly spoke as I threw moneys at him roughly. "Here! You want this don't you?" I yelled as I threw more moneys at his face. At that time, I don't know how harsh I act towards him. I don't know how injured Error was when I threw all that moneys at him I don't know how I ruined my life for once and for all.

"Oh my lord! This food is disgusting! I don't like it!" I yelled as I threw a plate of spaghetti at Error's chest. All his clothes were stained in sauce and noodles while some meatballs were falling to the ground along with the plate which broke into pieces. Error's face was pale and shocked, I didn't know why he was pale but I don't care at all.

"Now go buy me ramen from the nearest restaurant!" I yelled as I sat on the dinning table. Error coughed heavily while clutching his chest with his left hands, "B-But Nightmare... I don't feel well..." He coughed more as he bent down slowly while cleaning the mess. He actually got pierced by the glass but he didn't yell or hiss in pain. He just kept cleaning it all.

"Who cares about you!? Now go buy the ramen before the restaurant closes!" I yelled as I kicked him roughly without care. Error coughed more as sweats poured down from his forehead, Nodding softly. He slowly stood up and walked to the exit, But before he could opened the door, His eyes suddenly closed as he fell down to the floor.

"ERROR!" I yelled, Immediately ran to him. I held him close as he didn't breathe at all in my arm, No movement from his body, His eyes were fully closed as I can't hear his heartbeat at all.

"NO WAY! ERROR CAN'T JUST DIE LIKE THAT!!" I yelled, Tears poured down from my eyes as I can't take the truth. Error was died, Because of a terminal ill.

"It's fine brother, We can get a new maid." Dream spoke as he patted my back.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK ERROR IS? A THING? YOU CAN'T CHANGE HIM LIKE THAT EASILY!" That time I wished that I can pull the time back and apologize to Error on what had I did and stop myself from doing it or maybe hug him while smelling his embrace. I wish I could rewind the time.
