I try to speak, but all that came out were meows. He took my speaking ability away! I leap to another monitor quickly and gazes down at it. Now this one shows E!Pap. Who I'm guessing to be E!Gaster now, lunges at me again. I leap again, slipping around the new monitor and struggling to stay. He had managed to skim my hind leg.

"But ThAt'S crAzY, bRoThEr. ThErE's nOtHinG bEhInD tHaT wAlL."E!Pap says, now not just from the monitors but also heard by the wall

I turn to the wall. I gaze at it. Could they really be right there? Did Dream build the base by a void and not know? I felt a hand grab me by the tail. I tense. I get tossed into the air and see a Gaster Blaster get summoned below me.

"SaY gOoDbYe, InK!"E!Gaster cheers

"I just heard Ink's name! He has to be there!"I hear Geno yell.

I quickly dodge the Gaster Blast by aiming to fall behind a monitor, which got blasted instead. I got knocked across the floor, landing roughly on my feet but the injured leg gave out beneath me. I look up to E!Gaster, who now towered over me. I hear a blast, but nothing hit me. Light shone in.

"InKy?"Error's voice yells

I look at E!Gaster and smile. His plan is foiled. I try to get up but fail horribly. E!Gaster simply lifts his foot and stomps down on me swiftly. I let out a pain-filled yell. E!Gaster laughs.

"SuCh a wEaKlInG. ArE y0u sUrE yOu ArE nOt a wEaKnEsS, InK?"E!Gaster taunts

Everything was darkening. I weakly gaze at E!Gaster as he gets his foot aside after stomping. I try to move but fail. I then see him get blasted aside. I look around to see Geno beside two Gaster Blasters.

"Not another one of you. Bad Gasters."Geno says

"Kitty!"Blue exclaims, peeking around from behind one of the blasters

Blue ran over and kneels down, gazing down at me. I smile.

"SeEmS hUrT."E!Pap says, appearing beside Blue

Blue nods and quickly bandages my leg with a spare bandage.

"Who the heck are you? And where is our friend?"Dust yells, soon being seen holding E!Gaster by bone attacks

"StRoNg, DuSt Sans. All of yOu aRe sTrOnG. BuT nOne oF yOu sEem tHe moSt oBsErVaNt!"E!Gaster laughs

"What the hell are you saying?"Dust yells

Geno repeats what he said with a translation. This only angered Dust more and he shot more bones at E!Gaster.

"Why would he hurt such an innocent crature like a cat?"Blue wonders

"DuNno, bUt I w0nDeR iF iT hAs aN oWnEr, gIvInG a MoTiVe."E!Pap says

A figure appears beside Blue. I look at the figure and quickly recognize them and smile more.

"I duNno aBouT oWnEr WiTh tHe cAt, bUt I dOn'T sEe InK aNyWhErE."Error says

E!Gaster just began laughing. It scared the heck out of me. I look at Error curiously. Blue finishes wrapping the injury. Error kneels down and looks at me.

"PoOr cAt dOeSn't dEsErVe tHiS."Error says

"YoU pEoPlE aRe bLiNd aS hEcK!"E!Gaster yells with laughter

Geno again translates this and E!Gaster got a blast to the face. I look around at them. Blue smiles. E!Pap went over to help Dust. E!Gaster had tried to knock Geno out and Dust was getting hits now ever since he blasted at Gaster. Blue was checking me for other injuies. Error gazes around, as if still searching for me.

"InKy's goT t0 bE aRoUnD hErE sOmEwHeRe....bRo hEaRd hIm. PlUs tHat dUdE kEeP mEnTiOnInG InkY's nAmE. I jUsT hoPe hE's oKaY."Error says

"I'm sure he is, Error! Ink is always a fighter. You already know how stubborn he is and if he doesn't want to do something, he won't. Plus, after all your battles, I'm sure you know he is great at dodging attacks, even without his brush."Blue cheers, trying to encourage

"I gUeSs yOu'Re RiGhT."Error sighs

I smile, gazing up at him sweetly. I hear an explosion and leap up in fear. Fear that E!Gaster was gonna hurt me or someone. I then realize where I land. I was on Error's head. My claws hide in the paws in realization of this. I curl up, smiling. I feel my face light up a bit. I begin to purr again but I don't mind it. I'm a full cat and only E!Gaster knows it's me. Plus, I feel safe with them, especially Error. I look down at Error, his face yellow with blush and looking at me nervously. His hands were raised to his face nervously. I smile and shut my eyes again.

"Aww, I think it likes you!"Blue cheers

"Y-Ya, I gUeSs iT doEs. It'S cUtE, I'Ll sAy ThAt. MaYbE wE sHoUlD gEt OuTta hErE bEfOre tHat dUdE lOsEs iT."Error says

"GoOd IdEa."Blue says, grabbing Geno and Dust.

Error gets up and blasts E!Gaster away from E!Pap.  I open an eye. E!Pap walks over and sticks beside Error, gazing at me. He seems curious, so I wonder if he caught onto anything. We exit the space and close the wall back up. Error excused himself while everyone was talking, trying to figure out who that was, what happened and where I could be. He ran down the hall and slid around the corner, holding me to his head so I don't fall. I was confused at what he was doing. He shut the door after getting into his room. He locks it and sits down. He grabs me and lifts me up and examines me carefully. He sets me in his lap and gazes at me. I gaze at him.

"InkY?"Error asks

I get up to a sitting position, gazing at him. I smile.

"I-Is iT yOu?"Glitchy asks, placing a shaky hand just inches from me.

I meow a yes. I lift my head to his hand and gently rubs it against it. He looks at me and he got this wondering look in his eyes. He softly feels my cheek, where my ink spot was. I purr shamelessly. Then he turns me onto my back. He gazed at me and I notice my fur was marked on my belly like my tattoos. He softly pets this area and I feel as if my face would be burning right now. I try to turn off of my back and block him, but he held me in place while he pet me. I knock his hand away from me and manage to turn back onto my belly, gazing up at him with narrowed eyes.

"ThOse spOts...m-MarKs.....tOo sPecIfiC aND unIqUe. Y-YoU'rE InKy, aReN't yOu?"Error asks.

I sigh, then nod. At least it was him petting me and not someone else....like Dream or Paperjam or something. He looks at me with a huge look of shock. Then tears came to his eyes.

"I-InKy...I'm sO sOrRy....I cOuLdn'T fInD yOu sOonEr. YOu gOt hUrT aNd Who kNows wHat hE dId tO yOu. I'm sOrRy, InKy, I sHoUlD've dOne sOmEthiNg....I...."Error cries

I reach up and hug him. I wrap my paws around him, my head on shoulder. I purr to calm him. To tell him it's okay. To tell him it isn't his fault. But all he could hear was a purr. I felt my wounded and bandaged leg give out again and I fall back, but Error quickly places a hand behind my back to catch me. He smiles.

"ClUmSy aS uSuaL."He says teasingly.

I frown at him and look away. I then get an idea. I hop down from his lap and find some papers in the corner of the room. I fumble with a crayon and try to write something out on the paper. Error kept peeking as I wrote. I decide to add something at the end for such reasons. I skim through it to make sure that I did ok.

"Hey Error! It's me Ink! Please don't be upset about that! I'm just glad you're okay! I'm surprised your brother heard me at all but am grateful he did. That Gaster claims to work with the kids for his freedom. He called us each other's weaknesses, like someone we know. I brought his attacks upon myself by rebelling stupidly. Wait, are you ok? He attacked ya pretty bad from what I saw. Heh, sorry I cannot tell you this. He kinda took my talking to a meowing. I guess you can say we got ourselves in a purrdicament?"

I step aside and let him read it. He reads it carefully. He chuckles. I hear the door unlock. I dive under the bed, gazing out. The note I wrote was tossed underneath, landing beside me. I watch Error get up and a second pair of shoes enter.

"A locK-piCkEr tOo hUh? CaN't pEoPlE hAvE pRiVacY?"Error says

"Hey, it's a helpful skill in situations like getting locked in a closet. How was I supposed to know someone wasn't trapped here?"PJ's voice says

"NoT sO fUn bEinG lOckEd uP iN tHerE iS iT? I dUnNo, mAyBe kNoCk? WhAt dO yOu wAnT?"Error responds

"Good points. I'm looking for Ink now as well. Surely he's around here somewhere."Paperjam states

"Uh-hUh, aNd wHaT tRiCk aRe yA gOnNa tRy wHen yOu dO fInD hiM?"Error asks

"What do you mean tricks? I don't do tricks on or with him."PJ defends himself

"Sure. So gEtTiNg mY BRO tO cRAsH aNd bLaCkMaIl InK wItH a SECReT oF hIS iSn't a tRiCk? PrEtEndInG tO bE mE anD eMbArrAss hIm iSn't a tRiCk? My bRo tOlD mE whAt hE heARD aNd InK's bEeN tElLiNG mE aBoUt hIs lIl eNcoUnTerS wItH yOu. FAcE iT, PaPErJam, yOu'rE bUsTed."Error states smoothly

"Wouldn't you like to know the secret?"Paperjam asks nervously

"I aLrEaDy dO! BuT nOt eVerYoNe hAs TO kNow. PlUs, GrAdIenT tOlD mE sOme iNTerEsTinG facTs aBoUt yOu tHat yOu sEem kEen on kEePiNg sECREt. So iT's eItHer yOu sToP blAck-mAiLinG InK wITH hIS seCreT, oR everYoNe lEarNs yOuRs."Error replies

Paperjam went silent.

"Do wE hAvE a DEal? I bEt eVerYoNe wOuLd lOve tO knOw wHY yOu cAlL mY BRO UnClE."Error asks

"....Y-Yes. We have a deal."Paperjam replies, then runs out of the room

I see Error go after him, most likely to make sure PJ doesn't try anything. I slowly crawl out of hiding and go into the hallway. I look around and saw neither of them. I felt myself get lifted up, quickly coming face to face with Dust. He examines me with narrowed eyes, then holds me curled up in an arm.

"Man, you are really are curious about Error, aren't ya? Hey, Blue! I found the cat!"Dust says, soon shouting down the hall

Blue came and got this look of relief.

"Oh phew! With everything happening and the cat's condition, things have been crazy. Thanks for finding them, Dust. I haven't been able to call Ink, but I've been calling to find this cat's owner."Blue says, taking me into his arms now

I meow to him a hello. He pets my head gently. I purr. I notice Dust was gazing at Blue as Blue pet and seemed heavily caring to just some cat. Which is normal. Blue is always kind to anyone or animal lost, just look at how he handles the human lost in the underground.

"So, uh, Blue....About that kiss and feelings....Can we talk about it?"Dust asks

"Oh! S-Sure!"Blue replies, looking around to see nobody around

I lower my head and pretend to be resting like a normal cat would. This was gonna be interesting. I gaze and watch Dust curiously.

"So where do we go from here?"Dust asks

"First, did you do that kiss out of jealousy? Because I learned recently that Dream did it to trick you into doing it. Why?"Blue responds with questioning

"Em.....Yes, I did. Because I....Like you. Wait, are you kidding me? Dream tricked me! That little fool! I....I guess I got jealous because I love you, I'm sorry."Dust explains

"Don't be. Because....I, uh....like you as well."Blue says, petting me nervously

"So where do we go from here? We both know Ink and Error may tease us if they find out."Dust asks

I already know.

"We'll keep it silent. On the down low. At a time like this, that should be easy. I'll protect you and I will not let those kids hurt you, okay Dust?"Blue states

"I should be telling you that, Blue! I'm gonna protect you! But okay! Let's do it."Dust says.

I smile, it's about time they got this done. I look around and see nobody was around. I look at the two of them to see them blushing. Dust was rubbing his skull nervously. Blue came closer. Then, that's when a voice speaks, oNe I recognize and hated.

"Perfect. This is a good opportunity. Ink, kill them. They're weak. And this has their guard down. They'll be easy to get out of the way and it will send a message. Do it."Renew says

I shake my head. I won't hurt my own friends, even at a moment as sweet as this. A pain came to my head and a lift a paw to feel my head. I let a low meow out. Blue looks down at me. So does Dust. Then, I see someone looking at us from behind Dust. My claws spring out. I recognized them as Renew. I let out a hiss and feel my fur stand on end. I see Renew start coming closer to us from behind Dust. I let out a hiss again and leap at them, cat-instincts kicking in. I fight as quick and powerful as I can. Then I felt some hands tear me away. I look and it's Blue picking me up. Why is he helping Renew? I blink a few times and look back at who in one moment was Renew, but gazing at them now was found to be Cross. I froze, my eyes widen. Dream came running over.

"That cat is crazy! We need to get it out of here!"Dream says

"But they're hurt and just a cat! They probably were just being protective!"Blue objects

"That cat nearly killed Cross. Those kids or something probably sent the dang thing here! We need to get rid of it!"Dream snaps

Blue looks at me. He sighs and nods. What's going on? What did I see?

"I know a place to put it. It'll be safe there and maybe lose focus or control by them."Blue says

"Well, let's get a move on then. Dust, you get Cross to get healed."Dream says, coming and dragging Blue off with me

Next few moments were a blur. One moment I was in Blue's arms, next moment I was in a box, only having holes in the lid to see or breathe, my surroundings unknown. No way of contact, no clue what was happening, all I could feel was pain. What have I done? What happened? Where am I? What will happen? It didn't help that the inside of the box was completely blank. I sway in and out of consciousness, only hearing Renew, Change or E!Gaster talking to me. They then went silent.

I began to see memories. Very odd. Half of them I didn't quickly remember. But they don't show anything necessarily bad. It shows only good memories. I see fun I've had with the Star Sanses, mistakes or fun. I saw Error and I meeting, fighting, then every good time that led up until now. It went dark altogether. I sway back to consciousness and was amazed at what I witnessed all in one go. Was this a trick? Was it something saving me? A message? I knew one thing, I had to know where I was in some shape or form. I peek through one of the box lid holes and couldn't see anything. I use a claw and cut the hole slightly bigger. I peek through it and see I was completely surrounded by water. Waves swishing and pushing me this way and that in a small box. I curl up in the box, unsure of what to do. Maybe Dream and Blue did me a favor and didn't even know it was me. Now, I can't hurt anyone. Maybe I should just go, give in. I don't even have my vials or brush. So, I can't even do anything to fix my position. I rest my head at the bottom of the box. I thought this was over. I'm weak after all.

But then....I hear a portal open. I open an eye. I see a portal high above the lid of the box. My first thought was that it was E!Gaster, Renew, Change or someone up to no good. Trying to take me. Use me. Hurt me or those that I care for. I was scared, angry even. My claws peek in and out, thinking of what I should, could or would do if they tried anything. I then hear a voice. It was familiar. It was Error. And he was angry. It's been a while since I've heard him so angry.

"WhAt?!? YOu gOt rId of tHe cAt? IN a bOx iN aN oCeAn? WHat iS tHis? ThAt MadAgAscAr mOvIe? YoU dIdn'T chEcK fOr cHemIcaLs oR anYthIng? YOu jUst sAw iT gO frOM caLm tO hOstiLe In BlUe's arMs aNd AtTacK CrOss? YOu diD nOt tHinK to Let ScIeNce eXamIne iT? YOu iDiOtS! We nEed tO fInD tHaT cAT! NoW!"I hear Error yells

"I don't get it, Error. Why is that cat so important to you all of a sudden? I'd think you would be more concerned about Ink than it. Though I'll admit you brought up some good points that I never thought of."Dream says

"Oh, I duNno. YoU woUlDn'T knOw oR cAre sInCe nO mAtTer hOw mUcH I hElP InK oR BlUe, YoU tReAt mE lIke I'm tHe pRoBLEM! ThAt GasTer DuDe wAs rIgHT, alL oF yA aRE stRonG, bUt yOu'rE blInD iDiOtS wHeN mAkInG obSerVaTiOnS. I'm sUrPrIseD I'm tHe oNlY oNe tHAt noTiCed tHe cOnNeCtIoN bEtWEEN InK aNd tHe cAt. BuT wHO woUld bElIeVe mE, hUh, DrEam?"Error snaps

I didn't hear Dream say anything.

"WoW, fOr a chAtTy StAr SaNs, yOu'vE gOne quIeT. YOu aLl hAve. WHat, aM I cRaZy? PLeaSe. SoMeonE. TeLl mE."Error growls

Everyone's there? He's alone in this? Error! I suddenly felt a strength in me. It felt powerful, but probably won't last. I sit up and continue to watch and listen to the portal gateway. It had gone silent.

"I wOuLd. AnD dO. I kNeW tHAt cAt wAs oDd."E!Pap says

"Right with ya bud."Dust states

"As am I! If I made a mistake, I want to make things right! And I clearly did!"Blue exclaims

"Nobody can argue with that logic."Geno points out

"Geno is hardly wrong."Reaper could be heard

"Bout time I start trusting my bro's buds. And if he thinks you made a mistake by getting rid of that cat that could endanger my bro, then I can't argue with that."I hear my brother say

"We will not let an innocent cat get thrown out for false crimes like some piece of garbage!"PJ declares

"Error usually is good at telling when something is up. Unlike some people."Gradient says

"I'm ashamed an ally didn't think of the reasonable solution. Science, chemicals and animals are my specialty. Nothing good ever comes out of jumping to hasty conclusions."Science claims

I smile, knowing what this meant. Error wasn't alone. He was supported. Nearly by everyone. Even by my brother. I could only think of two who weren't on his side that were at the base. Cross and Dream.

"SeEms yOu'Re oUtNuMbEreD, glOwStiCk. NoW, aRe wE gOnNa fInD tHAt cAt oR aRe yOu goNnA gEt lEft bEhInD?"Error asks

"I hAve oUr aNtI-vOid fIxeD aND reAdy to gO, bRothEr."E!Pap says

"This is ridiculous! You all can't possibly be siding with him! You all must be crazy!"Dream exclaims

"He's done nothing but help, Dream. He's even saved you. How crazy is it for us to help a friend? An ally? We are the Star Sanses, you and I. We're meant to help others, not hurt them. And all you've seemed to do is cause issues or hurt others. Dream, come on."Blue says, and I could hear the plea in his voice

"....Once a bad guy, always a bad guy."Dream mutters.

"Then we have our answer. Cross, you coming or staying?"Dust says, anger in his tone.

There was a short silence.

"Ink....Was one of my first friends. He got me out of my lowest of times. If he's in trouble and that cat has something to do with it, I'm coming along." Cross says

"Cross, that cat attacked ya!"Dream snaps

"Ya, but it gave warnings. It hissed, clear sign of it being scared or on defense. I ignored it and came closer. It was wounded so it probably felt defensive, not knowing me. It's my fault. The cat shouldn't pay for that. And again, Ink's my friend. If the cat can find Ink, then I must go and help. Also, Error's my friend and ally. I won't let him get treated wrongly just because he's been bad. We all have at some point. And holding grudges at a time like this is stupid. I've made up my mind. Cya, Dream. I'm with them."Cross states

Dream was silent.

"So, what's the plan, glitch-face?"I hear my brother ask

"The pLan iS tHat We gO tO mY brO aNd I's AnTi-VoiD. wE fiNd aNy AU thAt hAs lArge oceaNS. We wAtch thEm. SoMe stAy tO dO thAt, othErs gO aNd seArcH thEm. We keEp in conTact aNd iF sometHinG, anYthInG hapPeNs, wE teLl. ThAnK yOu aLl fOr s-SuPPoRtInG mE..."Error explains

"We're here for ya bud. You're the most observant out of all of us, probably. Now let's do this!"Dust cheers

The portal began to shut. I shake my head. I didn't mind. They were gonna find me and maybe by the time they do, I'll be free of their control. I then see something drop from the portal and make a small splash into the water. Curiously, I wanted to see it. I kick the lid off but grab it before it drifted away. I place it halfway on the box and paddle towards where the item fell, the portal gone now. I find a small puppet floating in the water. It was my Error puppet. I smile. I scoop it out of the water and hold it gently in my paws. I pull the lid over me again and curl up around the puppet. I don't care if it's wet. It's my puppet. And it shows someone that never gives up on me. Someone that gives me strength. It is Error.
