Soon I could feel control again and opened my eyes. I couldn't feel anything strangely. No anger. No worry. No fear. Nothing. But something now told me to follow Renew and Change. I went up the stairs and I saw the shock on Renew's face. I was unsure of its meaning but Change snaps before I could, so I came over to them.

"Change! You're a genius! He practically is a mindless helper now!"Renew cheers

"And your best idea was to try and kill him. He's soulless, you can't silly. So why not make him work for us? Ink, are you ready for your first task?"Change chuckles

I knew I wasn't Ink still, but they did not. I opened my mouth to say no. I know that's wrong and that I'm not their servant. But then there was this huge electrifying pain in me that made me hesitate at that.

"Y-Yes.."I say when I finally was free from that pain.

Renew opens a portal and gives me my orders. I reluctantly nod and go through. I quickly find myself in an AU and walk my way through it. Might as well explore it to gain intel before doing the task. The AU was beautiful, wonderous colors and so much effort clearly put into it. It reminded me a lot of OuterTale, except it wasn't in space. I come across its WaterFall, which was full of giant crystals. I walk up to one and find a strange reflection.

It looked like they put me and Ink together for this. I had his scarf, sash and gloves or color of clothes. But I had the greyish skelton color, probably a mix of my black and his white. Also I could see they added red to the shirt. I didn't have my glitches, but I had familiar tear marks, meaning possible strings. My eyes were black with white eye-lights, like Ink without his emotions. I noticed the sash didn't have his vials anymore, but weapons. Numerous knives, an axe and a vial with an X on it.

I notice something vibrating and peeking out from the sash. I take it out to find it's a phone. It was ringing. It said I was calling, but I knew it was Ink. Yet, the more I was reminded of him or thought of him, the less I remember about him. It's as if the memories were fading, disappearing. I didn't answer. I swipe the screen to see that I had gotten another 15 other calls from him as well as Blue. Oh, they're gonna hate me for this. I don't know why, but I had this sense that they will. I put the phone away and complete the task.

A portal opens and in comes Renew just as I destroyed the last character. Something felt familiar about this destruction, but there was this feeling of it being wrong as well. Renew proudly congratulates and praises me on my work. They drag me through the portal for the next task.

~12 tasks later, time skip~

I was in the middle of what felt like my 20th task, though I knew it wasn't. I look around when I hear a portal open. It couldn't be my 'bosses' Renew and Change, cause they had just sent me here. I narrow my eyes, trying to scan the horizon. My eyes widen when I see movement. I take the axe and lift it in front of me, just in time to deflect a bone attack. I swing it over my back and feel another one get pinged away from me. I dig my feet firmly onto the ground, gazing around.

"Show yourself, you cowardly idiot! I know you're there!"I yell

There was silence. Then I saw a silhouette move from my right and I swerve to the side to dodge an attack, turning to face them. The silhouette leapt from the shadows and it was...me? Wait...Wasn't Ink stuck in my body? Is this him? I felt the pain shoot through me just at thinking about Ink for the first time in a while. Agh! It doesn't matter! I need to do the task! The pain ended. The figure swerved back. I fire some attacks at them and they leap out of my sight. I then get a call. I take out the phone I've kept hidden and see the hundreds of calls and messages I've missed. But the current one was from Dust. I think of answering it. No pain came so I did.

"Hello?"I say, lifting it to my head

"Error! It's about time you answered! What have you been doing? What has happened? Ink and Blue have been worried sick! Your brother has been resting so he hardly knows anything! Are you okay?"Dust exclaims, probably would've hurt my ears if I was human.

"Sorry. I didn't exactly have a chance to call as much. I've been doing whatever keeps them busy. Stalling, stalling has happened. I'm as ok as I can. Especially when under attack. Or...Ow! Are you all okay?"I reply, feeling the pain return for a split second at the thought of telling Dust what's been done to me.

"We're Okay. We're trying to hunt you down! I'm sorry I yelled dude. It's just everyone has been tense and it doesn't help with Nightmare assuming the worst and causing Ink and Blue to worry even more. By the way, Ink!Pap created the cure so Dream and Nightmare are themselves again. Who's attacking you?"Dust explains

"If I knew who was I would've taken them down by now! Good to hear! Gotta go, don't want to get distracted."I say, hanging up and tucking it away.

Surprisingly, whoever attacked me hasn't tried anything during the call. I look around while holding the axe ready. I soon tuck it away and summon a bone attack, something I'm used to by now. Did they flee?No. I would've heard something like a portal or teleport. Some movement. They must be hiding. But where?

"GliTchY?"a voice asks from behind

I jump and turn around to find the very Error figure from before. I felt nothing. No fear or shock or anger. Nothing. It was so....weird. I knew the nickname had importance, but I couldn't even feel a hint of joy. I knew it was Ink now,but it felt like I hardly knew him or felt much for him.

"Ink? What are you doing here? You....You got to go now! Now! Before they come! Aargh!"I yell, then drop my bone attack and feel my head

There was the most pain I've ever felt yet coming from my skull. It was as if the world's heaviest rock was coming down on my skull, trying to crack it like an egg. Or like something was beating from inside my skull, trying to get out, like a baby bird from an egg. Ink only steps closer to me.

"Glitchy? Are you okay? Oh, what did they do to you? It's okay! It's gonna be okay! Let me help you!"Ink tells me, coming close and reaching out to me

Every word he spoke, every step he took, the pain increased. I drop to my knees, the pain growing unbearable. I look down and shut my eyes tightly.

"Stay back! Argh! Stay back! Please! I don't....I don't want to hurt you! I don't want them to hurt you! Aaagh! I....said.....go!"I shout, shaking my head and trying to ease the pain

I feel something get summoned. I knew it was wrong. I hear Ink yelp and I open my eyes quickly to see him jump back from a bunch of bone attacks. I see bone attacks surrounding myself protectively and to keep others out. I see Ink just narrowly miss getting pierced by two. I look around and try to stand, thinking of getting to Ink. I wanted to protect him. I wanted to believe what he said and hold him close again. I may not feel or remember much for him, but I knew I couldn't stay away from him. I couldn't stay under control only to stall them. I want to be free.

Unfortunately, the pain and its source had other ideas. I felt the pain only grow and then I hear a snap as I took a step forward. I fell down and let out a yell. The bone attacks move in order to not hurt me and I feel the ground as I hit it roughly. I try to move the leg, but failed. I look at it to see it had snapped, just barely still attached. It was like a twig depending on the skinniest piece of wood to stay together, thinner than a string. I feel a hand touch my shoulder gently and I jolt, only causing more pain. I assume it's my "bosses" here, finding out of my encounter with Ink. I thought they were causing my pain and that they were taking Ink while the other was grabbing me to finish the job. I still cannot feel any emotion, but I was starting to feel a growing fear in me, almost as big as the pain.

"GlItChY, lEt mE hElP yOu. PLeAsE. I cANnOt sEe yOu iN suCh pAiN."A voice pleas

That doesn't sound like Renew or Change.....I look up and there was Ink as me staring at me still, crying with his hand on my shoulder. I look up at him, silent. I couldn't speak. I was at a loss for words and the pain kept me quiet. I hear a portal open as Ink comes around to face me. I could sense who it was but couldn't let them see Ink. I quickly summon a bone wall that blocks me from Ink. At this movement and thought of protecting him, the pain hit its peak and I coughed and gagged in pain. I saw blood hit the ground. This pain will be worth it. For Ink and everyone's safety. 

"ErRoR!"Ink cries from the other side

"It's okay, Ink. I'll....be ok. Tr-Trust me..."I say

I turn around weakly lay against the bone wall. I look up as Renew approaches me. They stomp their foot at seeing my unfinished task.

"What's taking you so long? You should've been done by now! And in that condition!"Renew snaps

"The characters here are stronger than others. It's like fighting a bunch of Swap!Paps or something. The pain got to me so I decided to rest."I excuse it as

"Well suck it up and finishe the job! You can rest and bandage yourself up once your done with your 50th task!"Renew snaps

"How merciful of you...Another 37 tasks until them."I say coldly

"Better get a move on then. I'll come and get you when I sense you're done."Renew orders, then leaves through a portal

I watched it shut and waited a few minutes to make sure Renew didn't try any tricks or that Change didn't come as well. Once doing so, I weakly pull away from the bone wall. I tear the sash of weapons off of me and toss it aside. Then, I lower the bone wall. I turn to face Ink. Tears fell but I couldn't feel sad. Why? is this what Ink feels without vials? Weird... I quickly get knocked down to the ground and I feel my head hit the ground as my body pressed against it. I feel someone land on me after shoving me down, holding me tight. I look to find Ink on me, cring with a worried expression, his face a bright yellow due to the cirumstances. He gave a shaky smile. I couldn't understand his action or reasoning behind it. I still felt nothing but pain, the ground, myself crying from the pain most likely, as well as my mouth still dripping with blood as if I were Geno.

"That was a little uncalled for, don't ya think? Then again, you....you are a stupid skittle shortie."I ask, forcing a smile

He reaches up and wipes his tears, then reaches down and wipes my bleeding mouth, then my tears. He smiles, his face getting brighter the more he did.

"NoT iN tHe sLiGhTeSt, mY bElOvEd GlItChY!~♥"Ink replies, then leans his head closer.

I quickly think he's gonna attack or we're gonna get caught or into trouble by someone. I reach my hand up to block him and try to get him off me, but he grabs my hand firmly. His face was inches from mine. He gazes at me and smirks.

"I'm yOuR iDioT sKiTtlE sHorTie wHiLe yOu'Re mY sIlLy GlItChY taLliE."Ink tells me with a wink

He then lowers his head, closing the few inches between us. He kissed me! My eye lights shrank as he shut his eyes and held it there. I feel my face light up. I saw his lights up even more.

I couldn't move. I felt all the faint, disappeared knowledge, feelings and memories to Ink return, coming crashing down on me, but had a softer landing feeling than the pain before. I feel better about being with Ink now. I felt emotions again. I felt joy, relief, excitement, and love again. It felt nice. I close my eyes and feel the memories and feelings wash over me like gentle waves, easing the pain away. He didn't grab my other hand, so I reach up with it and feel his cheek softly. I felt his hand jolt but held my hand still. 

I feel myself get lifted up. I panic and open my eyes to see Ink lifting me up gently, holding both my hands now and smiling at me with his face still just as bright. I felt my face heat up and I smile slightly.

"YoU oKaY, GliTcHy?"Ink asks

"I'm okay, Inky. Are you?"I tell him

His smile grew at my response and he attempts to hold me close. I look at him and felt him shake. I feel his grip on me tighten and I felt the pain shoot up in my injured leg. I did not make it clear that it hurt, but I knew my grip on his hands tighten when I felt the pain shoot through me.

"YOu aRe baCk! You'Re bAcK! I g0t yA, ErRoR! I'm oKaY! BuT I aM gLaD yOu aRe bAcK aNd Ok!"Ink cheers

"What do you mean by 'back'? Also how am I silly? You're the one who makes up words like tallie."I say

"I've bEeN sO wOrRieD aBoUt YoU eVer sInCe yA wEnT mIsSinG! BlUe aNd I cAmE baCk jUst tO fInD eVeryOne, eXcEpT mY bRo anD DreAm, lOokInG fOr yOu. NiGhTmArE hAd sTrAiGhT uP lEfT oNcE cUrEd. I dIdn'T kNow whAt tHeY wErE gOnNa dO tO yOu! I...I....I'm just glAd I'm bY yOuR sIdE aGaIn. WhaT? You'Ve hAd yOuR sIlLy m0mEnTs. AlSo iT's fUn tO maKe wOrDs uP!"Ink explains

I hug him close. I then hear a portal open. I look around, tearing one of my hands free from his grip. I turn around and stand in front of him protectively. I narrow my eyes and see Change in the distance. They just shut the portal and seem to have spotted me.

"Ink. Go. Now!"I order

"You broke my control?!? How?!"Change yells

I try to shake Ink's grip off of my other hand, but couldn't.

"Inky, go! Now! There's no way I'm letting them get you!"I tell Ink

Ink didn't answer. I lift a bone wall behind me to block Ink from sight.

"I'm gonna kill you, Ink! You're ruining our plans! Just wait until I get you! Error and all your little friends will never find you!"Change yells

Change started coming closer.  I summon some bone attacks.  I prepare to fire them but they teleported in front of me and grab my shoulder. Since when can they teleport?! I look at Change, suddenly filled with terror as they slip their hand down my arm and hold it tight, with this murderous look in their eyes. They deflected my bone attacks without even a glance.

"Bones? Really? You're gonna have to try harder than that. I wonder how your skull would look over a fireplace, or your dust in a jar. Would it be rainbow? Only one way to find out. Oh, and the honor to see the look on Error's face when I show or tell him. It'll be hilarious. Like some joke!"Change says with a chuckle

I couldn't move. They kicked my injured leg and I drop down, yelling in pain. I was amazed and grateful that my leg hasn't snapped apart with the skinny bit left. I felt Change bend my arm in an unnatural way that it can't go, then began hearing the cracking noises, frequent like the popping of popcorn in a microwave. I yell in pain even more, but manage a smile. I was convinced Ink had left as I had ordered him to. He was safe. They all are.

But then, I was proven wrong.

A Gaster Blaster fired from my left, knocking Change away from me. I quickly grab the arm they were bending and hold it protectively. 

"A JoKe hUh? BuT yA kNoW, yOu'Re fOrGeTtiNg oNe tHiNg."a voice says

Change weakly gets up in the distance.

"What's that?"Change asks

"ThEy hAvE a PuNcHlIne. AnD hErE's a TiP fOr yOu, keEp yOuR dIrTy hAnDs oFf oF hIm!"The voice says

Suddenly, Change was surrounded by Gaster Blasters. I recognized them. They were Error Gaster Blasters. Meaning only two people could be here. My bro, or Ink. The blasters fired at Change in sync and I was blinded by the light so I shut my eyes. I feel myself get lifted off the ground. I open my eyes to see Ink was carrying me through a portal. He had ignored what I told him! But, at the same time, he saved me...Plus I know that Ink's never the kind of person to follow orders.

 He soon laid me on a couch softly and began bandaging my arm and leg. Once done, he took out two vials and handed one to me.

"It's the cure."Ink says

I didn't question it an nodded. He drank his vial as I drink mine. I shut my eyes and when I opened them, I was looking at Ink laying on the couch. It worked! I kneel down and nudge him softly.

"HeY. InKy, wAkE uP. OpEn yOuR eYeS. It wOrKeD."I say

Ink did not answer or move. 

"InKy?"I call, holding his hand

I felt it go limp.

"InKy!"I shout
