Hello.

I'll paraphrase the notes I've deleted.

If you encounter sin in here, they were written of my own volition, not of a request.

As is obvious, the requests are closed anyways so I just removed all the request based information.

The thing causing me to update this fic.

I don't remember who, but you'll know if you are the ones this little PSA is for.

I know there's a comment chain with at least three 12 year olds.

I know that all 3 are depressed and have a lot of trauma.

I should not know this information.

Imagine if I were a nefarious person with selfish intentions for you kiddos.

Now, I'm not saying don't interact with books and stuff. Just.

Don't mention your age until you're 18+ and comfortable with it.

Don't mention personal information like that to people you haven't really gotten to know.

I want you to imagine that conversation isn't in the comments section of a book and is instead in a cafe, in a public place.

If you wouldn't share that information to that cafe (assuming they can't see your physical age), don't, for the love of all that is holy, share that information to the comments section.

And this is just a general thing I recently thought of and might as well add here.

A few rules for interacting with Content Creators (especially good for those young impressionable people) and general interacting on the internet:

1. Do: Treat Content Creators Like Human Beings Deserving of Respect (cause they are)

1. Don't: Treat Content Creators Like Your Friends (cause they aren't)

2. Do: Curate Your Online Experience So You Won't Run Into Anything Uncomfortable (cause the expectation is you're already doing this)

2. Don't: Confront Anyone Who Shares Stuff You Find Uncomfy In DMs Alone (cause at best, you're just gonna get someone saying "lol, my content and online experience is for me, get lost", but at worst the person is actually a pedo and will do unsavory things to you.)

3. Do: Take Breaks And Take Care Of Your Mental Health (cause everyone needs to log off every once in a while to relax)

3. Don't: Start Stressful Internet Wars Just Cause Someone Portrayed Character X In A Way You Didn't Like Or Ships Character Y with Character Z, Or Any Number Of BS You Could Get Upset Over (cause you can only control your own ships and character portrayals, it kinda circles back to the second don't.)

4. Do: If A Content Creator Tells You They Are Comfortable With Only 18+ Interacting, RESPECT THEM! (cause they're doing this for the benefits of both people in mind. If they say 18+ only, chances are they got 18+ content that might negatively affect someone who isn't 18+.)

4. Don't: Mock Them Or Say You Can Access Their Stuff Anyways (cause that's just a shitty thing to do)
