Gaster Blaster! Error x Nightmare (Angst + FLOOF + No Ship)

Requested by: MDaPlayer who had a slightly different idea in mind for the story but ultimately preferred my idea.

Just so you know, there are mentions of torture, blood, injuries, and murder/suicide(?) but none of these are particularly graphic or go into detail. Anyways.

Hope you enjoy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chains clink against the wall, the creature with black bones resting against the wall, staying close enough to his shackles to sleep with relative ease.
Soft snores leave the creature's body, blood dripping from the numerous wounds decorating his animalistic form.
"Hey, Mutt!" The creature is startled awake, looking at the doorway, crouching to become as small as possible as his owner approaches. His owner lifts up the paintbrush, grinning sadistically as he forces the creature to reveal its belly, slapping red paint onto the sensitive area.
The effects are immediate with the creature howling and whimpering in pain, struggling away from his owner, curling around the afflicted area, unable to cease his whimpering and whining.
"Hey, Ink!" The creature's owner cusses, running to the door a little too late as two others stumble in, finding the creature and the dripping wounds, and the red paint.
"Have you been tormenting this creature?"
"He's mine to torment how I see fit." The creature stumbles away from one of the two newcomers approaches, green magic covering the approaching person.
"I'm going to heal you and remove that nasty paint." The creature automatically flinches away from the touch, whimpering. However, the red paint glops off the creature, his wounds healing up a lot. He breathes easier, looking at the newcomer with confusion.
He did not hurt me?
The creature tilts his head.
This must be a trick.
The creature lowers his head, hiding all sensitive areas from the trio in the room.
The hurt will come again.
"Ink! We have to release him!"
"Absolutely NOT!"
"I'm sorry. But I can not condone this behavior Ink!"
"You condoned it when you didn't know. Now you know, and I'm the one with devil horns?" The creature turns his gaze back towards the group to find the one who healed him has summoned some kind of pointy stick and is slamming it against the chains binding the creature.
"NO! Stop!" His owner shouts, being held back by the other. The healer swings extra hard, the chain shattering. The creature gets to his feet, standing up taller than his owner and the other two. The creature looks between the three before looking toward a wall and barking. A portal appears and the creature jumps through.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The creature lands particularly bad on his ankle, hearing a rather loud *SNAP* and feeling a jolt of pain run through his front paw.

It's fine.

The creature limps through the snow, ignoring the cold and heading away from the buildings.

"Hey." The creature jumps, twisting around to face the voice, setting his snapped ankle down to growl and prepare to fire. But he sees nothing to fire at. The creature tilts his head, ceasing firing.

"Wow. You've been hurt...and touched by Dream..." The creature looks to the source of the voice, finding a goopy skeleton with his hand on the creature's shoulder blade.

"By the looks of things, you used to be known as Error-" The creature whimpers, shaking his head and stumbling away from the freaky knowing monster, running into the forest, turning at crazy moments, just running away from something.

What am I running from?

Just Run.

The creature continues charging, right into a tree. He shakes his head after stumbling back and growling. He opens his maw at the tree, firing off a blast.

An impressed whistle sounds, the creature turning to face the voice only to find a larger group than before. The goopy monster is still the same, but he's accompanied by two smaller skeletons and two medium skeletons.

"Impressive."

"Are we really complimenting an animal? I bet he can't even understand us."

"You understand us."

"HEY!"

The goopy monster walks toward the creature, his hand out to touch the creature's shoulder blade.

Run.

The creature hisses at the skeleton, jumping away. The goopy skeleton sighs, opening a portal, a frantic skeleton running through, described easily as purple.

"You called?~"

"Yeah. Can you calm animals down?"

"Generally, yeah."

"What about this?" The goopy skeleton gestures to the creature, the purple one looking at the creature, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Well from here I can tell he's been treated horribly."

"Yeah, Ink tormented him."

"Before that too, someone was treating him badly." The creature crouches down, hiding his head under his broken paw.

"Can I heal your paw?" The creature looks at the skeleton who is slowly approaching, green magic like the one from before.

"Dream healed him once before."

"I can tell. He seems to recognize my green magic." The purple skeleton with green hands touch the broken paw.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"L̸̶̷̠̦͍̲̽̈́ǘ̸̶̷̝̦̻̲̔̚s̴̶̷̢̻̠̲͑̾͌t̵̶̷͖̫̦̲̽̽!̵̶̷̝̻̲̿̽͋ You have to run!"
"I'm not abandoning you, E̶̷̸̢̲͖͍͆̕͝r̶̷̵̲̘͙̈́͆̚r̶̷̵̲͚̺̺̈́͆͆o̶̷̴̢̲͎͎̒͒͠r̶̷̸̲̟̠̦̒͋̐!̶̷̵̲͖͕̠̀͑́ You can't make me!"
"Damn it."
"I'm sorry."
E̶̷̸̢̲͖͍͆̕͝r̶̷̵̲̘͙̈́͆̚r̶̷̵̲͚̺̺̈́͆͆o̶̷̴̢̲͎͎̒͒͠r̶̷̸̲̟̠̦̒͋̐ looks down sadly at the dust, looking away from all that remains of L̸̶̷̠̦͍̲̽̈́ǘ̸̶̷̝̦̻̲̔̚s̴̶̷̢̻̠̲͑̾͌t̵̶̷͖̫̦̲̽̽, destroying the AU and jumping back into his white AU, home to the voices.
Error~
Home to one particular voice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The creature yelps, jumping away from the purple skeleton, panting as glitches begin covering his eyelights. The purple skeleton's eyelights widen.

"Error?"

"Who?"

"Error was the Forced God Of Destruction. I got to know him quite well. He killed one of my copies, but the copy had spent weeks knowing Error's real side. You probably never picked up on him because he tried to stifle all emotions so he couldn't be easily tracked."

"Huh. So he was a Forced God, then vanished off the map for a while, then reappears as this creature having been tormented by Ink?"

"Yes."

"What can we do to help him?"

"Well, you can adopt him into your gang like you did with those two." The skeleton gestures to the small skeletons, who have hung around the goopy one's legs this entire time as the two medium ones have been fighting this entire time.

"Thanks. Can you update the other neutrals or bads that he's under our care now?"

"Of course." The purple one leaves through the portal, the goopy one walking closer to the creature.

"I know you're scared. I know you don't trust me. But I promise you. I won't hurt you. Nobody will hurt you anymore. Especially if my dumb brother gains a backbone to stand up against Ink." The creature backs against a tree, curling up and becoming small.

"Dun be scared."

"Dada won't hurt you!"

"You fucking have the audacity to call me an animal?!"

"You might as well be one with all the self-control you have. And trust me, I know there's only one braincell up there that bounces around like a dvd screensaver. And the only time you experience a thought is when it hits a corner."

"You fucking!"

"Ignore those two. They'll eventually fuck and get rid of the sexual tension."

"BOSS!"

"NIGHTMARE!"

"What? It's true you two." The two groan, and the creature looks down at the children. He's aware that the three big skeletons all freeze at this change of attention. The one with the cracked skull and red eyelight beams up at him, grabbing his jaw and giggling when the creature opens his mouth, the ball of energy ready to go at a moment's notice. The other one tries to touch the ball of energy, causing the creature to lift his head away so the kid doesn't fry his hand off, inadvertently picking up the cracked skull kid, who is giggling up a storm.

"Fun!"

"Can ... me try?" The creature tilts his head, lower his head back down so the second one can grab the other half of his jaw, the two getting lifted up together. Cracked skull continues giggling like a madman, but the second one only shows a small smile.

"Don't worry. Dust doesn't really...emote much." The creature looks at the goopy man, slowly getting to his feet, finding his ankle doesn't hurt. He walks over to the goopy man, leaning his head down and shoving the man into snow with his nose. The goopy man remains solid.

Thought he'd dissolve in snow.

"Did you now? I'm afraid it'll take more than that to displace my goop."

"Like one of my arrows." The creature turns, finding the purple skeleton from before and the gold skeleton from before before.

"Dream. Glad you could join us."

"I came to settle a deal with you. Ink's pretty much in trouble over this whole thing. So I want a truce. A balanced truce." The creature lowers his head to the ground, rubbing hard at his head with his paws, whimpering.

"Wait. Dream. Say the B word again."

"Balanced?" The creature whimpers louder, now scratching at his skull.

"Whoa...this is strange."

"Not really. Forced God of Destruction. Why would he be Forced if it weren't necessary to a B-word?"

"Fair."

"Who enforced this job on him?"

"I'm not sure. And to be honest, I don't think it matters anymore. I think whoever it was doesn't have power over him. If they did, wouldn't they continue to use him?"

"Perhaps the reason he freaked out at his name is because if he begins remembering his life before...he'll get pushed back into the cycle of B-ing Inkblot?"

"That's highly likely." The purple skeleton pushes his paws away, holding his head and rubbing him gently.

"Calm down love, you're safe."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You're safe here."
"You won't call Ink here?"
"Why would I? He hates my AU. I don't even know why he made my AU."
"Me neither."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Why are you helping me?"

"Everybody has a story, and everyone needs a friend."

"..."

"What?"

"You're so very strange to me."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Guess what?!"
"What?"
"I got a Neutral council going."
"Oh?"
"D̶̷̴̲͍͙͔̾͋̈́è̶̷̴̲̙̫̝͠a̶̷̸̲͎̠̙̒̀̈́t̶̷̵̲͎͖̾̚͝h̶̷̵̲̼͍͒̕͝,̶̷̵̲̙̪̦͛̿͛ Ó̶̷̵̲͓̙̞̕u̶̷̴̲̦͕̼̒͌͆t̶̷̴̲̦̙͋͊͘͜e̶̷̵̢̲̫̝̒͛̐r̶̷̸̲͎͍͌͌͘͜,̶̷̵̡̲͕͑̾̔͜ B̶̷̵̲̟͖͉́͊͘l̶̷̸̲̙͍̐͌͑͜u̶̷̸̲̪͇̓͌͘͜e̶̷̸̲̟͕͚͊̔̈́,̶̷̵̲̠͇̟͌̽̈́ F̶̷̴̲̻͙̪͌́̈́e̶̷̴̢̲̘̙͑̚͝l̶̷̵̡̲͓̈́͒̀l̶̷̸̲̦̞͎͌͛,̶̷̵̲̝͙̈́͊́͜ S̶̷̴̲̘͖͎̈́̓͒w̶̷̵̲͙̫͙͌͠a̶̷̸̲͇̦͙̾͑͘p̶̷̵̡̲̟̘̈́̐͑F̶̷̴̲̺̦͌̾͘e̶̷̵̲͔̼̝͊͑̐l̶̷̸̢̲͙̫̽͋͝l̶̷̴̲̺̟̦̓͐͘,̶̷̸̲̺͍͉͐̕͝ a̶̷̵̢̢̲͕͒̚͝n̶̷̸̲̝̠̓̾͜͠d̶̷̴̡̲̦͙͆͑̓ M̶̷̸̲̼͛̈́͛͜͜y̶̷̵̲̦͇̙̔͌̾s̶̷̴̲̺͓͙͊͠é̶̷̴̲͇͙͚͘͝l̶̷̵̲͉̝̺͒͋͝f̶̷̸̲̙͍̐͌͐͜ are on the council!"
Ice-water pours onto E̶̷̸̢̲͖͍͆̕͝r̶̷̵̲̘͙̈́͆̚r̶̷̵̲͚̺̺̈́͆͆o̶̷̴̢̲͎͎̒͒͠r̶̷̸̲̟̠̦̒͋̐ as he remembers each of them and their connection to him,
"You're all in danger. I want you to break that council apart. Play the Star's Game. Please. Don't do this just for me."
"It's not just for you, E̶̷̸̢̲͖͍͆̕͝r̶̷̵̲̘͙̈́͆̚r̶̷̵̲͚̺̺̈́͆͆o̶̷̴̢̲͎͎̒͒͠r̶̷̸̲̟̠̦̒͋̐. Us Neutrals have been feeling left out of the decisions for a while now."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The creature blinks, surprised to feel wetness running down his cheeks. Two others sound like they are sobbing.

"Oh...darling..."

"I know why he didn't want the Neutral council...it wasn't just cause you guys were generally in danger from Error. It's because Ink knew...Ink knew you all were friendly to him. Blue he could wipe away with stockholm syndrome, thereby delegitimizing everything he said, but some of you Neutrals hadn't met Error, so there was no way to blame Error for it."

"...Do you know?"

"Yes. I knew pretty much when it happened. Remember, negativity? I found Death and he told me."

"Has he moved on?"

"No, but he understands the one he loved and the one who is here now are not the same people."

"Take good care of him?"

"What about the treaty?" The goopy one looks at his brother, the gold one, 'Dream'.

"Gather up Death, Fell, SwapFell, Lust, Outer, Color, and Blue. I'll gather up my crew, all of em including our new Gaster Blaster pal here, and we'll set the treaty up so all groups benefit."

"Isn't it just us Stars and you Bads?"

"No love. I'll explain it to you in Ccino's AU." Dream and the purple one leave. The goopy one looks at the creature, sighing softly and snapping, everyone appearing in an enclosed space.

"We'll be taking good care of you from now on. Cross, food. Killer, get a room ready." The goopy one walks over, the kids following.

"And let's get you and the kids into a bath."
