Someone is shaking me so I wake up.

"What?" I ask rubbing my eyes.

I look over at the clock and see it's 3 am. Kugi is shaking me awake. I turn on the lamp and see she has tears in her eyes. Her eyes are wide looking at me. She shakes her head.

"Oh God, Hana. I'm so sorry," she says putting a hand over her mouth.

She keeps on repeating it. I grab a hold of her shoulders. "Its okay Kugi, come here."

I scoot over and let her lay down next to me. "Just relax, we'll talk in the morning okay?"

She nods sniffling. I massage her head before I hear her breathing slow. Good, she's asleep. My exhaustion takes me to sleep right after.

(Later that day)

I yawn and wake up from the sun shining through the blinds. I look over and see Kugi is still asleep. I shouldn't wake her up she needs sleep. I don't know why she freaked out last night, but I hope she's okay. She always takes care of me, its my turn. I put tea on in the stove and get breakfast ready. When I take the tray in my room, I see she's awake. I put my hand against her cheek.

"You have a fever," I say.

She shakes her head. "I'll be okay, I gotta get to work."

I push her back down. "I will call in for you. You need to rest."

I close the blinds, making the room dark. I force her to eat and drink her tea. Thankfully, she stopped putting up a fight and fell back asleep. She's been working too hard, its okay for her to take a break. I call in to her work and let them know she's not going to make it. I start cleaning around the house a little. While I'm wiping a glass, I hear a knock at the front door. Huh, who could that be? I walk to the front door and see Chifuyu on the other side. Weird. I open the door.

"Hey, sorry for the random show up. Can I come in?" He asks.

I nod and let him in. We sit on the couch. "What's up?"

He messes with his fingers. I can tell he's nervous. "So I'm guessing Kugi didn't tell you."

I look at him confused. "Tell me what?"

He looks up to meet my eyes. His eyes are red. It looks like he's been crying. I also notice that his knuckles are cut up. "Chifuyu, what's wrong?"

He sucks in a breath. "Tonight, come to the usual place at 8 okay? We all gotta talk about... stuff."

"Why can't you tell me?" I ask.

"I was told I'm not supposed to say anything until tonight," he says.

"Who told you?" I ask.

"Mikey," he admits.

He gets up and starts to leave. "Wait so that's it? You're just gonna leave me in the dark?"

He looks back at me and gives me a soft smile. "I'm sorry, I got to take care of some stuff. I'll see you later. Everything will make sense then. Just- be prepared and try to be calm okay?"

He doesn't wait for my answer as he leaves. I look down at my hands. What the fuck is going on? First Mikey and Draken, then Kugi crying. And now Chifuyu? Could there be another fight that's going to happen? I turn on the TV and let the noise distract me.

(Later that night)

"Kugi, I have to go. Apparently there's something important everyone wants to tell me," I say.

She freezes. "Uhh Hana. What you're about to learn, it's going to hit close to home. Just know, if you need me, call me and I'll drive over okay?"

I study her face trying to see if she will give away everything but all she does is give me a sad smile. "Don't worry about me. I'll probably stay at Mitsuya's since it's close over there."

She nods and I leave the house. I walk to the bus stop and get off at the stop near my old apartment. I start walking, passing Takemichi's place. It's 8:05, so I'm going to be a little late. When I get to the usual spot, I spot everyone. Draken, Mikey, Nahoya, Mitsuya, Chifuyu, Takemichi, and a couple others are there. Mikey spots me first. Instead of giving me his usual smile, his face turns sad. He walks towards me.

"Thanks for coming, Hana," he says giving me a quick hug.

I nod. "So what's up?"

Mikey looks from everyone to me. It looks like they are deciding what to say. I scoff.

"Why does everyone else know about all of this except for me? Even Kugi knows! I don't know what's going on, but she just started crying and apoligizing to me out of no where. Can you guys just please tell me?"

"It's not their fault," I hear the familiar voice behind me.

My body freezes. My breathing hitches. That deep voice. No. It can't be. I can feel my eyes go wide. But I can't move. I can't turn around. I hear footsteps behind me. My eyes lock with Mikey's and I see his eyes fill with dread. A body moves next to me. It can't be. No, that's not possible. He can't be... I turn my head slowly to my right. He looks at me. His eyes piercing through me as usual. But there's no smile. I feel my vision start to get blurry. I take a step back. I can't breathe. I feel someone grab me from behind, trying to steady me. I start gasping for air.

"Hana breathe," Mitsuya says grabbing a hold of my face.

My eyes roll to the back of my head and I pass out.
