Horatio Caine woke up looked down to see a hand on his chest. He smirked and held the hand to his lips, giving it a gentle kiss. He chuckled when he saw that his lover's butt was showing. He moved the covers to cover him and slowly got out of bed. Nakedly he walked to the bathroom and got ready for work. He got dressed and made some eggs and toast. After he ate, he went back to his room to get his bag and to wake his lover up.

"Sweetheart, time to get up. You're gonna be late for work." Horatio whispered softly.

His lover blinked at him before sitting up in his elbow. Horatio kissed him softly and stroked his cheek.

"Good morning." Horatio said sweetly.

"Morning H." Eric said with a yawn.

"I'm gonna head to work. Ok. I'll see you there. Give me a kiss." Horatio said.

Eric kissed him gently on the lip then slowly made his way to his neck. He buried his face in his neck and hugged him loosely. Horatio chuckled again and hugged him back.

"Eric, I am going to be late. I promise you we can do something for lunch. Ok." Horatio whispered in his ear.

Eric nodded but he didn't let go. He started to rub Horatio's hips softly. Horatio knew that something was wrong. Horatio always knew that something was wrong when Eric started to rub him.

"Eric, what's wrong? Are you ok?" Horatio asked.

"I dreamed about Marisol again. I know that I should be ok with you and her not being here but- you married her. You loved her H and I feel wrong for loving you now that she's gone." Eric explained.

"Eric we discussed this. I did love Marisol and I still do but I also love you. Ok. Don't ever forget that. Are you going in today?" Horatio said looking at Eric with loving and concerned eyes.

"No, no. H I'm ok really. This is why I didn't want to say anything. Horatio I'm gonna be fine. You better head to work so you won't be late." Eric insisted.

"Eric I'm not going to leave you here by yourself. I can stay for a while." Horatio explained.

"Horatio go to work. I'm might be a little late but I'll be there ok. I just need a minute and possibly a hug." Eric said with a small blush of embarrassment.

Horatio hugged him tightly with a peck on the cheek.

"Alright. You have my cell. Meet me at the café on 15th street ok. I love you Eric." Horatio said with a kiss as he got his bag and left.

Horatio and Eric decided to go to lunch at their café in the booth in the very back, where no one can see them. They ordered their food in the front then made their way to the back. Horatio and Eric were merely drinking their coffee and talking about their latest case. They causally rubbed their feet together trying to still have some physical contact that they crave throughout the whole morning.

"Eric, you alright." Horatio asked.

"I'm fine H. You worry too much." Eric said laughing.

"It's my job to worry. Eric, you know I love you right?" Horatio asked softly.

"I know. I'm gonna be fine." Eric said with a small kiss on the hand.

Horatio laughed lightly. Suddenly Eric's phone goes off.

"Hold on. Delko." Eric said in the phone.

The fun playful expression on Eric's face that Horatio loved, fell slowly.

"Yes sir. I'll be down in 5 minutes. I gotta go babe." Eric said as he quickly kissed Horatio cheek.

"Eric talked to me. What happened?" Horatio practically ordered.

"I'm being investigated." Eric said as he quickly left the café.

Horatio's face soon fell as well. Horatio got up quickly and sprinted after him.

"Eric, Eric. Talk to me what happened." Horatio asked again.

"Rick called me and told me that he wanted to talk to me. God H, I don't need this. What I'm going to do." Eric rambled in panic.

"Eric, I want you to go to the meeting and let me take care of the rest. Alright. Now go on." Horatio said as he walked to his car.

Eric took a deep breath and walked to his car.

"Eric Delko." Rick said.

"Why am I being investigated." Eric asked.

"Because you broke protocol." Rick said.

"Since when." Eric chuckled to him.

"How long have you been in Horatio Caine's bed." Rick asked.

"You're joking me right." Eric asked smoothly.

Inside through Eric was panicking. If anyone knew about their relationship they could get fired.

"I'm not laughing." Rick said.

"If you want to ask about H's love life then ask him. I'm currently single. But thank you for asking. " Eric said with a light smirk.

All Rick could do was stare at him.

"Are we done here?" Eric asked.

"Don't go far." Rick said as Eric left.

Eric came back to his apartment he shared with Horatio. He saw Horatio in the small den looking worried.

"Eric. What happened?" Horatio asked worriedly as he stands up and embraces him.

"He thinks that we're dating. H if he finds out that we're dating? I can't lose my job. H what am I going to do." Eric said panckly.

"Eric, listen to me. You will not lose your job. Ok. I promise you that. Now I don't want you to think about that right now. I just want you to relax. I have to go out for a bit but I'll be back." Horatio explained as he sat Eric down and kissed his cheek.

"Where are you going?" Eric asked.

"I got a call from Rick. I have to go talk to him but i'll be back i promise." Horatio said as he grabbed his glasses.

"Ok. Love you." Eric said as he grabbed himself a beer.

Horatio met Rick in his office. He stood up and stared him down.

"I heard that you talked to my CI." Horatio stated.

"I did. I have a reason to believe that he is having an affair. With you." Rick said.

"Let me make myself clear. Eric Delko is having sex with me." Horatio summarized.

"Are you?" Rick asked.

"What my people do outside of this lab is none of my concern. Until it starts to affect his work then leave it be." Horatio explained.

"I'll be watching you Caine." Rick said a she walked out.

"I'll be watching you Rick." Horatio said.

He was about to leave when he received a phone call.

"Caine." Horatio answered.

"Mr. Caine, do you know an Eric Delko." A woman replied.

"Yes I do." Horatio said.

"There's been an accident." The woman said.

Horatio started running to his Jeep and drove to the hospital.

"Is he alright?" Horatio asked.

"There was a robbery at a 7 eleven and he tried to stop it." The nurse explained.

"He is an officer of the Miami PD. I am heading to the hospital immediately. Has he been hurt?" Horatio asked stupidly.

"Yes. There was a gunshot to his chest." The nurse said.

Horatio fought the tears that were sure to be rolling down his face.

"I'm pulling up right now." Horatio said as he hung up and ran in the hospital.

"Excuse me nurse, I just got off the phone with someone. Where is Eric Delko?" Horatio demanded.

"He is in surgery." The nurse said.

"God Eric." Horatio muttered under his breath.

Suddenly a code blue was called and for a second he thought it was Eric. He turned his head saw the doctors rush to a patient that was in the burn unit. He felt sorry for the person there but he was worried about Eric. He waited for about 4 hours until the doctor came up to him.

"Are with Eric Delko?" The doctor asked.

"Yes." Horatio said.

"Eric is fine. The bullet went through cleanly and it didn't hit a major artery. He is a very lucky man. Come with me. He's been calling you." The doctor explained.

Horatio went with the doctor. They went into Eric's room and lightly smiled when saw Eric looking at him loopy.

"Hey H." Eric said drowsily.

"Hey Eric." Horatio said softly as he sat down on the bed.

"I was calling you." Eric said with a chuckle.

"I know. You're going to be ok. After the drugs wear off, you might be able to go home." Horatio said softly.

"H." Eric said with a whine.

"Yes Eric." Horatio replied with a soft chuckle.

"I miss you." Eric said.

"I missed you too baby. But I'm here now." Horatio said.

"Can I have a kiss?" Eric asked sleepily.

"When we get home Eric." Horatio said quietly.

"H." Eric whined against.

"Only of the forehead." Horatio said as he sat down on the bed.

He placed a tiny kiss on Eric's head and ran his fingers through his hair.

"H, can I go to sleep?" Eric said.

"Of course sweetie." Horatio said.

"Night night H." Eric whispered sleepily as he fell asleep.

"Sleep dream Eric." Horatio said.

2 hours later they got Eric up and headed home. Horatio tucked him into bed but Eric had other plans.

"You promised me a kiss." Eric said.

Horatio kissed him slowly. Eric deepen the kiss and pulled Horatio ontop of him. Eric soon fliped them again so that he was on top.

"Eric, I don't want you to get hurt." Horatio said thorugh the kisses.

"Shut up and kiss me." Eric ordered as he kissed his ginger haired boyfriend.

Horatio allowed himself to be kissed and helped Eric take off his clothes.

Horatio and Eric laid in bed, under the covers, basking in their own estacy. Horatio had Eric snuggled close to him. Eric was a cudder after sex. Eric played with Horatio's fingers, kissing on them from time to time.

"I thought I lost you today." Horatio whispered softly.

"I thought so too." Eric said. "But I couldn't let the man die because the robber wanted a few dollars." Erci explained.

"That's why I love you so much. You would risk your life for other people." Horatio said dreamily.

"H, I love you." Eric said as he turned around and kissed Horiato sweetly.

"I love you too Eric. Get some rest. I'll be here when you wake up." Horatio said as he pulled Eric close to his chest.

Eric and Horatio slept peacefully, wrapped in each other's arms.
