(Eren's POV)

I drove my car, which is a Chevrolet Camaro SS 2017 convertible, a black one in the middle of the night, on a road with no end. A journey with no destination. A dream that cannot be fulfilled.

I parked my car in a gas station and went inside to buy myself something for the road, only to find myself inside my old house, in the dark, with only the lightning outside to light the place and the sounds of thunder that follow are the only thing that made noise in this house that is haunted by a dead love.

And her words echoed, not inside my ears, but throughout the entire house. Only it was the voice of her much younger self, the voice of the innocence she left behind to rot.

"Eren? Remember when you said we weren't gonna separate? Ever? Do you really mean that?"

I started to walk towards the door that led to my backyard, one step at a time taking my time to listen to her ghost haunt my head.

"'Tis you who I want to stay with, Eren. I... I'm afraid that one day we'll leave each other and... forget"

Not opening the sliding door but just staring into the outside, I saw Mikasa's present self as my reflection. Her face was dripping in tears but her face showed no emotion.

I turned away and stormed off outside the door only to find myself outside a different gas station, only difference is this one is on the side of a road surrounded by forests.

I didn't pay any mind to all of that and just entered my car and drove off.

Driving for a while I found myself out of the forest and driving next to an open field with a fighter jet above me trying to fire missiles at me but missing by just a few meters.
It kept chasing me until it just stopped and vanished, no sound, nothing.

I then continued driving at high speeds until I spotted from the corner of my eye, none other than my younger self, just standing in the field next to a large leafless tree, doing nothing but staring at me.

I stomped on the brakes and tried to turn the car around, only for me to lose control and end up making the car roll a few times and crashing hard.
I tried to crawl out of the crash and I did, but it took me a while. And after I did I noticed that my younger self was still there standing still and doing nothing, just staring.

My clothes were shredded, my leather jacket was torn to pieces so I ditched it next to the wreckage.

I got off the ground and walked towards him, and when I finally reached him he vanished into particles of light, only to appear a distance further away. As if he wanted me to follow him somewhere.

And so I did follow him and he started to actually walk away, whenever I get close he just teleports away like he did the first time.

I kept following him until we arrived at what seemed to be a pod of some sorts. But before we entered I had a vision.

It was Mikasa, holding what seemed to be a sword and is losing a battle with a shirtless individual that I cannot see their face.
She then screamed my name as if she was calling for my help and then i was brought out of the vision.

I looked at my younger self who pointed at the pod with silence.
Without having a choice, I entered the pod, only to find myself inside a moving subway train.
I walked to the other side of the cart and looked at the reflection of the door and saw Mikasa once again. But that moment was brief as the doors opened and I walked out, seeing my younger self surrounded by people going up and down the stairs that he was on top of.

I quickly chased after him, climbing to the top of the staircase, finding myself outside a yacht.
I paid it no mind and just looked for my younger self who was a floor below me. I pushed a few men aside who appear to be some soldiers sporting a green unicorn logo on the back. Then I noticed that the entire yacht was full of them. They all started pointing M16s at me but I jumped over the protective fence and landed on the first floor and then made a run for it when I spotted an elevator.
Two soldiers stood in front of me but I pushed them away. A third came in front of me and tried to shoot his rifle but I stabbed him with a sword that had a trigger on it. I left the sword jammed inside the man and ran straight to the elevator and pressed the 'close' button.

I looked into the eyes of my younger self and that's when another vision popped up.

It was of Mikasa. She was struggling to win this battle and her enemy seemed to have knocked her down and left her defenseless. She tried to reach for her sword but he took it away from her.

I was instantly snapped back when the floor beneath me vanished and I fell into the deep black abyss.
But then I noticed the sword I used to stab that soldier. But this time there were two of them.
I also noticed that I was falling parallel to a wall, so I used one of the swords to jam it on the wall to try and slow down my descent, but the wall suddenly flipped and turned into a floor.

I got up and saw that I was on a bridge, surrounded by the soldiers with the green unicorn. A group on the back and another on the front.
Analyzing my situation, I found myself in a fight I cannot get out of without conflict.

And that's when I threw one of the swords at the guys behind me and made a run for it in their direction and then slid on the ground as the others group started to fire.
When the sliding was over I grabbed the sword that I threw and an m16 off a dead soldier, killed by his comrades, and then started to fire at the group that fired first, while using one dead soldier's body as a shield.

I found that I had no chance of survival so I ditched the body and jumped down into the waters below.

I found myself falling out of a mirror into a large corridor in a castle. Taking a look at the castle walls, I found them made out of gold, real pure gold. The design had a large opening at my left side with pillars. Behind them was a view of a view of the remaining buildings in the castle with the light of the afternoon sun lighting the beautiful scenery.

I then heard a large step behind me as if a giant was walking behind me and when I turned to look behind me, the idea in my head was suddenly confirmed as a skinless giantess with blonde hair and blew eyes kicked me and made me hit a wall.

I got up and saw that my younger self was standing in front of a mirror with my reflection being Mikasa. I immediately got the idea that it's where I should go and so my running instincts kicked in as I ran into the mirror and dove right into it. My Mikasa reflection doing the same.

That's when I found myself in some sort of a military base,in the middle of the night, having rifles being pointed at me. Not by the soldiers with the unicorn logo, but by some other soldiers that wore a completely different uniform, a black military uniform with a black balaclava to cover the face.

I took out the m16 I procured and aimed it at them but suddenly it vanished into dust and was blew out by the wind.

I then ran as fast as I could into a few containers and boxes I saw to my right.
A few soldiers gave chase to me but I grabbed one of them and punched the machine gun out of his arms and used it to fire at the others and then I fired at the lights and ran towards a big vehicle that had enough cover for me to hide behind.

My shirt at that point was completely shredded and ruined so I took it off.
Then a giant Bigfoot-ish creature that was 17 meters tall arrived and kicked the containers away, leaving me defenseless so I started firing at his face, but the rifle was out of bullets.

That's when I spotted my younger self as he ran past me with full speed. I tried to catch him but then. I noticed that the ape creature was chasing him as well so I took the chance and ran towards a ladder that led up to a balcony of some kind and waited until the Bigfoot-thing was close enough and jumped on his back and climbed up towards his neck where I had a gut feeling I should stab with my swords, and so I did. And that's when it fell dead on the ground.

I got off of its corpse and looked tried to find my younger self, only to find him lying on the ground and bleeding out. I immediately started running towards him in fear, but the ground then split open and I fell through it.

But then somehow I got pulled back up. But rather than finding myself where I was before I found myself in the same field where I stumbled upon my younger self, but this time the field itself was ablaze and everything around me is destroyed.

I looked at my hands and saw the swords that I fought my way with, only they, along with my hands, are drenched in blood. The problem wasn't that I have blood on my hands, it's who's blood is on my hands. And I got a pretty solid idea who's blood this is.

I looked in front of me and saw my younger self walking towards the tree he was standing next to earlier. He suddenly just stopped and looked me dead in the eyes. His face this time was the stuff of nightmares. Red eyes, bloody mouth, and lifelessness throughout his entire face.

When I stared into his eyes I saw another vision of Mikasa. This time she was crawling backwards, away from the guy who was fighting her, and that's when I got a solid look on his face. The same red eyes my younger self had, shirtless and holding the same sword, he stabbed Mikasa one final time, ensuring she'd die.

This cold, evil murderer... was me.

And that's when I saw Mikasa's lifeless body on the ground. I fell to my knees grabbing her and screaming at the sky.

And that's when I jolted up and woke up from that nightmare, seeing myself inside a chopper. My CO has called me multiple times in my sleep and I have not answered him.

"Titan, we're approaching the AO drop point. Go in there and obtain the cure for the parasite," My CO said.

"Yes, Captain," I replied.

"Are you okay back there?" The chopper pilot asked.

"Yea. Just a bad dream is all."

"I hope you're fully awake because this mission is very important. Lots of lives are relying on you." He said.

"I know."

We reached the drop point. Before opening the door and jumping out I opened a bottle of water and drank half of it before proceeding to the operation.
