I Realize That Déjà Vu Is Very Repitative
I Realize That Déjà Vu Is Very Repetitive
We spent the rest of the night joking around, Beckendorf, Silena and Daedalus delivering the good news that they would be staying.
Before the campers and my team went to bed, I gave them a little "victory speech." Once they were all settled, I started. "We won. We won this war. It seemed hopeless at the beginning. We weren't organized or trained well enough. We didn't have enough weapons or armor, no plan, nothing. Just raw heroes.
"Then my team and I came. You learned from us, and we learned from you. We worked together, and fought to the last demigod. We lost some along the way, we found traitors, and we made memories. But we pulled through, and won. We defeated the enemy. It's over. We did it. Those fallen in battle were honoured, those who proved heroic, were rewarded. This will be known as the Demigod War."
Everyone cheered and celebrated. Chiron confronted me. "That was exactly what they needed, Percy. Thank you. I wouldn't have known what to say. So thank you. I believe you have inspired them."
I smiled. "I thought they would need that, and that it would make it easier."
"Make what easier?" Chiron looked at me, concerned.
"My departure. I can't stay here. I haven't told them. I don't plan to. You'll have to tell them after I leave. A few of my team will be staying, Beckendorf, Silena, and Daedalus. But the rest of us will be leaving."
Chiron nodded. "I understand. I know you will do well." He clopped off and I headed for my cabin, ready to sleep.
I was asked many questions along the way, now that everyone knew who I was. I answered them all, and by the time everyone went to bed, I was exhausted. Daedalus, Silena and Beckendorf decided to stay in our cabin for one last night.
I tried to sleep, but the guilt and sadness was too much. I sighed and hopped out of bed, walking to the beach. It still calmed me. Maybe I'll see Poseidon.
I reached the beach and sat down, before creating a can of coca cola in my hand. I popped the top and took a sip, staring at the waves crashing on the shore.
"Déjà vu, huh?" I turned to see a jogger looking at the waves with me. Hermes.
"I've had enough déjà vu over the past three years. But, yeah."
"I know we gods are supposed to be stuck up, never admitting that we need help from our children, but it's true. Thank you, for helping us. The other gods won't say it, but they would like to thank you as well. The campers needed someone to look up to, also. You provided them with that role model. I would like to personally thank you for showing my children the right path to take." He sat down next to me, and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"No problem. I just wish I didn't have to leave." I sighed.
"Well, the life of a demigod is never easy. Your namesake is just about the only one with good luck. You inherited his luck. Not many people become a god. Many of them would jump at the chance too, yet you refused. You had to be tricked into becoming one. That's why Chaos said you are the brightest demigod that lived. You have the purest heart. Your fatal flaw, is also your greatest strength." A new voice said. Poseidon had come.
"I'll give you two some time alone." Hermes flashed out, and I no longer had to turn away.
"Hey, Dad. Did you really mean all that?" Poseidon sat down beside me and we watched the sea.
"Yes, I did. It's all true. I've never been more proud of any of my sons. I know your problems will work out in the end." He patted my knee before melting back into the sea.
There was one more person waiting to be alone with me. "Hey." Light blonde curls spilled into my lap as Annabeth laid her head on me. "What's up?"
I gave her a quick peck on the lips. "Nothing much. Hermes and my dad visited me. Hermes told me all of the gods want to thank me for helping them. My dad told me why I'm the brightest demigod that ever lived. I can't sleep. I don't want to leave."
"Don't remind me. Don't think about the future. Just think about now." She kissed me again and I smiled into it.
"Okay." I pulled her close and we fell asleep on the sand, the smell of salt and the calming sound of the waves creeping into our dreams.

It was time. Time for us to leave. Luke, Bianca, Zoë, and I had packed up our stuff and were standing atop Camp Half-Blood, waiting. Chiron said he had something for us.
Finally, he galloped up the hill. In his hand, he held four camp necklaces. He had managed to recover the beads Luke had had before he chose the wrong side. He had the necklace from the second Titan War, but there was a new bead as well that I didn't get a good look at. Over the past three years no beads had been awarded. Camp had been in a bad place then, so nothing of importance had happened.
Chiron gave Zoë and Bianca their own necklaces as well. They had a bead with a silver arrow on it and an honorary bead for when we saved Artemis. It hadn't been during summer, but they still made one. It was painted with Talos and the tree that Ladon protected, to honor Bianca and Zoë. They also had the new bead.
Finally, Chiron gave me mine. He had kept it from three years ago, when I had thrown it onto the ground. He had given me the bead from that winter as well, but it depicted the mountain where the sky met the earth, for when I held the sky.
Finally, I got to see the new bead. I looked at it and gasped. Every camper would wear this bead proudly. It showed Chaos' sword, Oblivion, as well a caduceus. Chaos and Nancy, to honor them.
"Thank you, Chiron. This means a lot." I reached up and hugged my teacher.
He hugged me back. "You're welcome." He backed up and waved.
We were about to leave when Annabeth came running up to me. She grabbed me and hugged me, not wanting to let go. I hugged her back, before pushing her away. "I have to go."
She swallowed. "I know." She kissed me one last time before backing away and joining Chiron. Both of them, as well as the campers, waved. Daedalus, Silena and Beckendorf at the front.
"Goodbye!" I waved and created a portal. Zoë, Bianca and Luke stepped through, but I stayed for a moment. I took one last look at my home, before turning away.
I turned my back on my old home, everything at peace, to help the other worlds find peace. My new title preventing me to stay as a camper, I left and for the last time, I didn't look back.
