PREFACE

Nearly 80 years.

75 years of me fawning over her and loving her unconditionally.

77 years of a life damned to darkness and blood lust.

All for what? So she can run off for a title, I knew she was vain but really A damn Title?!

The Volturi hardly ever turn anyone into vampires, no one according to them, deserves their "Royal Venom." Or so we all thought. Then Caius decided he wanted a progeny, a son who could carry his "Royal Venom," turning only the "worthy."

Then an unexpected turn of events took place, I took my wife to Italy for our 75th wedding anniversary and we are summoned to the Volturi Palace as guests.

That's when she see's him.

That is the day Rosalie met "Prince" Blake. Or rather, that's the day that the Prince fell for Rose.

Caius took note of his son's infatuation with Rosalie and asked her to stay in Volterra and be Princess Rosalie Of the Volturi guard.

All she heard was Princess and she was sold. Only she didn't tell them right away. That night in our room is when she told me.

"You can't give me what i want Em. All i've ever really wanted was a husband and child. No one can give me a child but Blake can give me more out of life than you have given me. I have had a good life with you and it has been fun, but living in constant fear of being found out? How is that a life worth living? I will be somebody here, a Princess. And I won't have to hide anymore...i'll always care for you Em."

I broke every piece of furniture in that room and then ran off with out so much as a good bye.

How could she do this?

I loved her so much that i couldn't be mad, if she was happier with him then i would accept it somehow. But i couldn't stand to look at her any longer.

Now i'm here 2 years later with my family starting over.
