CH. 23 (Elle)

Emmett and I stepped off of the plane and were greeted with waves of white and green.

Even though it is winter and snow cover almost everything you could still see green peppered here and there.

Emmett took my hand and we got into a town car that drove us to our hotel room.

We settled into the luxurious room and I had a small nap since the plane ride drained me.

When I woke up an hour later, I was starving and judging by my boyfriends eyes he was just as hungry,or thirsty.

I touched his face and kissed his lips.

"Go and hunt." I instructed. "I don't want you miserable our entire stay, now go." I insisted when I saw he was going to protest.

He kissed my forehead and left through the window.

I chuckled, he's such a caveman.

I went to have a shower and by the time I was all freshened up and redressed Emmett was back.

He took me out to lunch at a quaint pub and we walked around Dublin.

We ended up at one of Carlisle's friends house.

Siobhan and Liam were cordial with me, probably because I'm with a Cullen but I am a human.

The younger girl Maggie was immensely friendly.

"I like this lass. She has Irish blood, so she's strong willed, marry her." Maggie said to Emmett causing him to laugh deeply.

"Yes Emmett, she will make an excellent wife, and once turned I have a strong feeling she will be quite powerful." Siobhan put in.

Liam extended his home to Emmett and I and it would be rude to decline the invitation.

So he and Emmett went to fetch our things and Siobhan and Maggie stayed with me and we got to know each other.

They became immediate friends of mine and I was glad to have met them.

Night fall came and Emmett took me to dinner.

After I had dinner we decided to take in the city at night.

Everything was lit up and people walked along the roads happily talking.

There were Christmas decorations here and there.

We made our way hand in hand to a twinkling bridge, The Ha'penny Bridge to be exact.

Each railing of the bridge was laced with white Christmas lights giving the bridge an unearthly glow.

I leaned against the top rail and looked out into the River Liffey.

Emmett wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"I Love you" i said with a very content sigh.

Emmett moved away from me and when I turned to see why I found him kneeling down on one knee.

Holy Mother of Christ.

I stared at him in amazement, is this really happening?

He reached out and grabbed my left hand.

"Elle, from the first day that we met, you have filled me with beautiful wonder. I look forward to the next day to see what the day will bring with you. Together we have proven that we can get through even the toughest of things. You've loved me despite what I am and for that I will love you for all eternity. Now I ask you, Elleen Finnigan will you do me the honor of being my wife?"

He pulled out a maroon Leather box he unlatched it and then revealed the most stunning ring I have ever seen.

I threw my arms around his
neck and kissed him.

When we finally pulled apart Emmett chuckled. "So I'm guessing that's a yes?" He asked running his neck.

I blushed deeply, I didn't realize I never answered his question.

"Emmett nobody on this planet could ever make me nearly as happy as I am with you. Yes, I absolutely will marry you." I finished with tears in my eyes.

He pulled me into a hug and kissed me once again.

He pulled the ring out of the box and gently slid it onto my bare ring finger.

The ring was massive but elegant, I expected it to weigh my finger down but it seemed to float delicately.

"Let's get married, as soon as possible." I said excitedly, already getting ready to find the nearest church.

"Well Alice would probably kill both of us and Esme would be heartbroken although she would never say so. And I'm sure Kate wouldn't talk to you if you denied her being a bridesmaid." Emmett said.

I thought over his words, what he said was true, I couldn't hurt everyone And deny myself my wedding in the process.

"Well as soon as we get home, do you think Alice and Kate can pull together a wedding in a week?" I asked out loud.

Emmett laughed deeply.

We went back to Liam and Siobhan's, they were all thrilled at our impending nuptials.

Of course we invited them to the wedding.

The next day around noon my parents' urns arrived.

Emmett and the Irish coven accompanied me to Christ Church Cathedral as I let their ashes fly away into the brisk winter wind.

I shed a few tears but I was no longer sad for them, no I was to the point where I was now able to remember all of the great memories we had.

I was anxious to get home, instead Of staying the rest of the week we stayed one more day then went home early.

I'm sure Esme won't mind given the circumstances.

We told the Irish coven good bye and they promised to see us soon.

After hours on the plane Emmett and I finally got home.

Emmett had all of the bags and when I opened the door everyone was there.

So I did the first things I could think of "I'm Engaged!" I yelled.

Esme, Nessie, Charlene, Denise, and Kate all screamed and came up to hug me.

Alice stood back smirking and hugged me last along side Bella.

"How come I have a feeling you already knew?" I asked smiling.

She only smiled and tapped her forehead.

Next the men came to hug and congratulate me.

When Cole finally reached me. He hugged me tight,

"Ellie I'm so happy for you, you and Emmett are perfect for each other."

I smiled and pulled back from the hug a little, "Cole your my closest friend, and well...how would you feel about giving me away?" I asked shyly.

He pulled me back into a tight hug and his chest rocked with laughter.

"I'm honored Ellie and I would love to give you away." He said his eyes dancing with happiness.

"Oh my God Alice, Kate...how soon can you get a wedding and everything done?" I asked smiling.
