CH. 17 (Elle)

I woke up in the morning only to find that I was in nothing but my underwear and Emmett wasn't in here.

'How in the hell did I wind up in my underwear?' I thought to myself.

Then slowly all of the events from last night flooded back, finally leading to Emmett and I's make out session and me falling asleep.

I smiled at the memory of how amazingly sexy Emmett's body looked last night.

I snapped out of it and decided that I needed to call Alice to bring me some spare clothes.

I quickly got out of the bed and found my cell but before I could turn my phone on there was a light knock on the door. I grabbed the blanket again and cover myself up.

"Come in." I said timidly.

Alice peeked her head in with a little grin on her face.

"Oh shut up nothing happened." I said blushing and rolling my eyes.

"Oh I know, Em wouldnt do that before marriage." She said with a knowing glint in her eye.

"Oh." I said relieved.

"Here, Clothes." she said as she handed me fresh clothes. "Now shower and then come and find me so I can do your hair and makeup."

"Um, where's Emmett?" I asked.

"Hunting." she said as she walked out of the bedroom.

Hunting?

I walked into the shower surprised to find my favorite shampoo and soaps.

'Aww how cute,' I thought. 'Emmett's willing to share his bathroom space with me.'

I thought about it some more, finally as I was shaving my legs I thought about how horrible it would be to cut myself while shaving. Then it hit me.

Hunting...killing animals...drinking their blood.

I giggled to myself, I'm such an airhead.

When I finished I brushed my teeth and got dressed.

As instructed I went down to Alice's room, I knocked and she let me in.

We went into her lavish bathroom and she sat me on a low chair and immediately started on my hair.

"hey so I'm curious about a few things." I confessed.

"Alright, shoot."she said as she finished blow drying my hair and began curling.

"So how do things work, when, um. When I have my monthly, um..."

"Period?" she finished my sentence.

"Yeah."

"The easiest way to explain this is, it's dead blood. Imagine it this way if you Had to make a burger would you use meat that's fresh from the butcher or meat that's been sitting there for 7 days?"

"Eww." I sounded in disgusted crinkling my nose for emphasis.

"So no it doesn't effect us." she assured me. "Anything else?"

"You see the future, have you seen MY future?" I asked unsure.

She stopped everything and went quiet. I turned my head and looked at her.

"I have, but honey I don't know If I'm aloud to tell you. Please just talk to Emmett about it first." she said seriously.

I nodded and she continued.

The guys came back just as Alice was finishing up my makeup.

Emmett came in just before she could put lip gloss on me and picked me up bridal style and kissed me one the lips playfully.

"Jeez Em, take it out of my restroom."

"I think I'll do just that." Emmett said and took me outside.

"What are we doing?" I asked laughing at my barbarian of a man.

"The guys want to have a snowball fight." he answered.

"How about I act as your cheerleader." I said.

"I'd like that." he said super cute.

So cute that I wrapped my arms around his neck and started kissing him.

"Great, now we have to look at Uncle Em and Elle make out all the time." Nessie grumbled.

It made me giggle then we broke apart.

Nessie and I decided to be the cheerleaders while Emmett's team fought against Jasper's team.

The fight started and I'm glad I opted out.

These guys were throwing snowballs at each other like cannons.

We were about twenty minutes into the fight and all of them were soaked and laughing hysterically when Alice froze.

The snowball fell out of her hand and she wasn't blinking.

"Alice!" I shouted and ran over to her not even caring if they threw a snowball at me.

But luckily when I said her name the fight stopped.

"She's coming!" Edward gasped.

"Who's coming?" Bella asked worrisome.

"Rosalie." Alice grumbled angrily.

Emmett growled then suddenly came to my side.

I guess I needed to touch him to calm myself so I grabbed his hand.

"Why is she coming?" Emmett asked sounding like a murderer.

"I-I'm not quiet s-sure." Alice said rubbing her forehead.

"Well when is she coming?" Jacob asked.

Alice growled in frustration "I don't know!"

She held her small hand up before anyone else could say anything, then she herself spoke.

"All I saw was a black robed, red eyed Rosalie. She was alone and looked angry. From what I saw she came and then she left almost immediately."

Emmett kissed my hair "I'm gonna take Elle home, it's getting late." He said.

I waved good bye to everyone.

Emmett took me out to eat at an upscale little restaurant. Of course the waitress tried to flirt with him.

Too bad for her he wasn't in the best of moods.

"Can you just bring my girlfriend her food so we can eat and leave."

"Yes sir." the girl said before running away.

"Emmett! That wasn't very nice." I said.

"I'm sorry, this day's just getting worse and worse. Why now, why would she come back?" he asked himself.

My heart fell, I suddenly remembered the girl from the pictures and then I recalled Emmett going all the way to Italy for her.

"I don't know...but Emmett," I said grabbing his hand from across the table. "if you want to end things between us I'll understand. I know you and your ex were together for a long time."

He looked at me sympathetically, "Babe, I don't want her, the minute I found you, you stole my heart. You're mine and I'm yours remember?" He said.

I smiled sadly at him.

He lifted his long arm and cupped my face.

"I love YOU Babe. Please don't forget that."

I nodded and then the scared waitress returned with my food.

I ate and Emmett and I talked about different things.

When I finished Emmett paid and we left.

We got to my house and Emmett and I sat with my dad and watched football. When it was over I walked Emmett out.

"Can you come back and sleep with me?" I asked.

"Of course." he said kissing my nose and leaving.

An hour later dad and Cat went to bed and Emmett walked through my balcony doors.

"And how did you know those weren't locked?"I asked him playfully.

"Because my sexy redhead, they never are." he replied.

My mouth dropped open.

"Emmett Cullen please tell me this is the first time you've done this."

"Well it's the first time you've asked me to sneak in." He said.

I groaned and fell back onto my bed in embarrassment.

I felt his cool body next to mine then his arms wrapped around me.

"don't worry you didn't do anything strange or embarrassing." he smile.

"Well thank god for that." I replied.

I laid my head on Emmett's chest and silently wondered what Rosalie's coming back would do to us.

I fell asleep worrying that Rosalie and Emmett would get back together.

So that's what I dreamt about.

(Emmett)

I laid in the dark room and listened as Red grumbled worriedly in her sleep.

"Rosalie," she said

I smoothed her hair trying to ease her unconscious turmoil.

Then I saw a tear escape her eye and fall over the bridge of her nose and trickle down over the opposite cheek.

I sadly cleaned her face.

My sweet Red, crying in her sleep.

"Please Emmett." she cried out.

I hated watching this, knowing I can't do shit to help her.

I leaned into her and whispered in her ear. "I love you Babe." then I kisses her temple and left.

Normally I would leave around sunrise but tonight I needed answers.

I ran back home and found everyone there including the Denali's. So of course they were talking about the Rosalie fiasco.

"How's Elle?" Esme asked.

I wrapped my arm around her shoulder "She's a little worried, she thinks I am going to leave her for Rosalie."

"The poor girl." Esme said sadly.

"She has nothing to worry about, I love HER and only her, she is my life now and i'll do anything to keep her happy and safe." I said.

Esme hugged me then went to Carlisle's side.

"Alice, can we talk." I asked and she nodded.

She got up and then we both ran into the woods to mine and Reds spot.

"I need for you to tell me the future." I said.

She gave me a weak smile, she knew I didn't want to know but now I had no choice.

Rosalie coming could potentially ruin everything and the only way we stood a chance at winning was Alice's knowledge of the future.

"Elle's future is set." she said "She already knows what she wants even though she hasn't realized it yet."

"Em" she continued "her future is so clear to me, even clearer than Bella's was when she decided to become a vampire." Alice said shocking me and herself.

"She will be turned peacefully and she will have an extraordinary gift." she informed me.

"...And what are the chances that will not happen?" I asked scared.

She shrugged nonchalantly, "Like I said, her path is set, she is quite determined. The only thing that would cause her to change paths would be death and even still her outcome would be a vampire as one of us is ALWAYS with her."

I brought Alice into a tight hug.

"Thank you."

"Anytime."

I went back to Red's and looked at her laying figure.

Her face was contorted and sad still.

I got back onto her bed and pulled her back on top of me. I watched her face smooth out a little bit.

"I Love You Elle." I whispered into the night and felt her body relax.

I kissed her forehead and enjoyed her light breathing as she had a quiet and peaceful slumber.
