Pinkie: Sooo...What's this idea of yours?

Twilight: Well, if we're gonna help her get her Christmas spirit back, she needs a look back.

Applejack: And what exactly do you mean by that?

Twilight: We're gonna take her on a journey through time. Trust me, it'll work.

Pinkie: How? Do we need to invent some kind of time machine?

Twilight held up her geode.

Pinkie: Ohhhh...I see where you're going with this! You're gonna use your magic to send her to the past!

Twilight frowned, Pinkie clearly didn't get what she meant.

Twilight: You'll find out later.

The girls went back to Rainbow Dash's house, she was in her living room playing a video game.

Pinkie: I thought you said you needed a break from video games after all that wackadoodle excitement back in the video game world!

Rainbow: I think I've had a long break. Besides, that was way back in the summer...Why don't you guys go have fun? You've got a whole 2 weeks from school.

Sunset: So do you.

Twilight: Rainbow Dash, can you put that away for a sec?

Rainbow Dash put her game away.

Rainbow: What is it?

Twilight touched her geode and pressed her hand against Rainbow Dash's chest, her hand began to glow.

Rainbow: What're you doing?

Twilight: We're gonna help you get your Christmas spirit back.

Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow in confusion, pretty soon, she began to feel sleepy and she started to close her eyes.

Rainbow: Are you...putting a spell on me...?

Soon, she fell into a deep sleep.

Pinkie: ...I don't get it.

Fluttershy: Why did you put her to sleep?

Twilight: It's quite simple. *puts a blanket on Rainbow Dash* I just cast a spell that would put her into a deep sleep.

Applejack: How's that supposed to help her get her spirit back?

Twilight: Well, she'll see into the Christmas past, present and future during her slumber. I put a spell that'll allow that to happen.

Sunset: Oh, I see what you did! Very clever, Twilight!

Applejack: I gotta say, Twilight, what'cha did there was pretty sneaky.

Pinkie: Can someone please explain this to me? I still don't see why you put her to sleep!

Twilight: *sigh* I'll explain later.

Just as the girls left, Rainbow Dash started to dream.
