The news spread like a wild fire, there were news channels, newspaper articles, everyone in Canterlot heard about it and were terrified. Sure, there has been Equestrian magic, evil villains, and the end of the world, but a missing person? That was not common. Even Rainbow's friends found this a little odd.

Pinkie: I know what it is! A villain from Equestria came in and snatched her! Then he brings her to his lair and forces her to marry him but she refuses and the next thing you know-

Applejack: I don't think that's logical.

Pinkie: It could happen!

Sunset: Did she lie about her parents having a big surprise for her?

Applejack: No, I can tell she didn't lie. She looked pretty excited about it.

Twilight: Maybe we should talk to her parents.

Sunset: Good idea

Everyone went to talk to Rainbow's parents, but they weren't there.

Pinkie: Oh well, we tried!

Twilight: Hold on, look

The girls spotted Rainbow's school bag in the middle of the floor. That's odd, on the news, her parents said she never made it home.

Applejack: She had her school bag when she left yesterday, what's it doing here?

Twilight: Maybe she did make it home and left her bag here. Typical Rainbow Dash.

Sunset: Uh, when was the last time you saw her randomly put her bag somewhere?

Twilight: Her last soccer game.

Sunset: Good point.

Fluttershy: Um...girls? Is it common for random notes to be lying around and saying..."Bring...$40K or you'll never see your daughter again?!"

Applejack: Lemme see that!

Applejack snatched the note and looked through it, it was a ransom!

Pinkie: *gasps* RANSOM NOTES!!!!

Twilight: What?!

Who would be asking for a ransom?! Perhaps Rainbow Dash was kidnapped and her kidnapper was expecting money! She did mention that her parents were super rich and that her dad made 60K a year. Maybe someone was listening nearby? Fluttershy cried quietly, Rarity comforted her.

Fluttershy: Where could she be?

Twilight: She can't be far. I can track her cell phone and see where she could be.

When she tried it, it showed that it was around a park. When everyone went there, they didn't find Rainbow Dash, but found her broken cellphone.

Pinkie: Aw man! WE WERE SO CLOSE!!!

Applejack: *picks up phone* She never leaves without her phone, maybe she dropped it.

Twilight: *sarcastically* Yeah, the only time she leaves without her phone is when she forgets it or loses it.

Applejack: *sighs* Yup.

That was true, normally she never left without her phone. This was not normal.

Twilight: Well, one thing's for sure, she was here before she went missing.

Sunset: Hey guys, look at this.

The girls spotted tire marks on the side of the rode, was she pulled into a car? It looked like the person driving the car was in a hurry.

Pinkie: *gasps* Maybe she was taking a driver's test! There, case closed!

Twilight: She doesn't have a permit.

Pinkie: ...Case reopened! Are there any more clues? Are we playing Blue's Clues?!

Applejack: This isn't a game, Pinkie, this is serious!

Pinkie: Awwwwww I like those mystery games on TV.

Twilight: Well, this isn't TV, this is a missing person!

Pinkie: Fair enough! *hits remote and static appears*

Applejack: *removes curtain* Enough with the fourth wall breaking, can we just focus on finding Rainbow?

Pinkie: Okie-Dokie Lokie!

Okay...at least we got a bit of a break from the case, but now we have to get back to it because Rainbow Dash's life could be at risk. We may find more clues in the next chapter and maybe something that could reveal where Rainbow might be, but we'll just have to be patient for now. But what do you think happened to Rainbow Dash? She vanished without a trace so so far, there hasn't really been anything that led to her disappearance, we'll just have to wait a while and find out later.
