7 weeks passed, no trace of Rainbow Dash.

Fluttershy: Poor Dashie, she must be terrified, I hope she's alright.

Applejack: Me too, that Shadow King looks like he means business.

Pinkie: Shadow King! *giggles*

Sunset: It's not funny, Pinkie

Pinkie: It's kinda funny! *giggles*

At that moment, someone shoved the girls down, when they looked up, they couldn't believe what they saw. It was Rainbow Dash, but she wasn't herself!

Fluttershy: *gasps* Dashie!

Rainbow Dash's eyes were green and purple smoke was coming out of them. She had gray wings, a red horn, and black hair.

Sunset: Rainbow, what happened to you?

Rainbow: Who wants to know?!

Pinkie: We do!

Rainbow: Who cares! Rainbow Dash no longer exists! I'm gonna destroy all of Canterlot and everyone in it until there's nothing but dust!

Applejack: Is this some kinda joke?

Rainbow: Joke? Ha! You think I'm joking, Miss Honest?! Let's see if you still think I'm joking after this!

Rainbow Dash shot a beam of green light at Applejack knocking her to the ground, the rest of the group gasped.

Twilight: What did you do to her?!

Rainbow: You'll find out soon enough!

Rainbow Dash flew off, this wasn't like her. Sure, she was absent multiple times, especially considering all the dark magic she had to handle, but what was wrong with her?

Sunset: Applejack! Are you okay?

Everyone knelt down beside Applejack who groaned and opened her eyes

Fluttershy: How do you feel?

Applejack: Ugh...it was terrible...so many clowns everywhere I looked!

This sentence struck Sunset, who did she know that can reveal anyone's biggest nightmare?

Sunset: Wait a minute...King Sombra!

Twilight: Who?

Sunset: The one you've been calling Shadow King and the one who took Rainbow weeks ago, he must be controlling her, she has all the features and Applejack just saw her biggest fear! King Sombra is the master of nightmares in Equestria! If he wanted to, he could turn Canterlot into a living nightmare!

Everyone gasped, if King Sombra was here, what could this mean? Would Canterlot fall? Would he take it over the same way he took over the Crystal Empire? Would everyone have to live in a world of nightmares forever? What would be the fate of their world...and possibly Equestria? Something had to be done immediately!
