"Where are we?"

"Papua New Guinea," said the Doctor. Curious, Faye walked over to the doors of the time machine.

"When are we?"

"1937." The Doctor pushed the doors open. "I figured that since you talk about her so much, that you could meet her."

"Meet who?"

The Doctor smiled and snapped her fingers, the doors opened to reveal...

"Amelia Earhart," she breathed, shaking from the excitement as she walked over to the woman.

"I hope so," said the Doctor as she gave Faye a nudge - which was more like an encouraging push - in the direction of Amelia Earhart.

"Can I help you?" asked Amelia.

"I'd just like to thank you," said Faye. "You're really brave and I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for you."

"Are you feeling well?" The pilot had concern on her face as she looked at Faye.

"I'm fine," said Faye, smiling at the short-haired woman and nodding. "I was just... Well, you said 'the most effective way to do it, is to do it' and that has really inspired me to do things even when other people said it was impossible for me, so... thank you."

"It's no problem as all," said Amelia Earhart, confused at why the woman dressed in strange clothes was so excited.

"I should probably get going."

Glancing behind her, she could see the Doctor leaning against the TARDIS with a smile on her face. Faye said goodbye to her role model before hurrying over to the Doctor.

"That was amazing!" she exclaimed. "That was Amelia Earhart! The real Amelia Earhart." The Doctor nodded with a grin on her face.

"I'm surprised you didn't try to stop her."

"Stop her from doing what?"

"It's the 2nd of July," said the Doctor. Faye stared at her for a moment. "Nevermind."

Faye bit her lip as she thought. What happened on July 2nd 1937 to do with Amelia Earhart?

"Oh," said Faye. "She goes missing today, can't we do something? They never find her body, do they? We... we could help her."

"Fixed point in time, I'm sorry."
