Y/n Pov

I couldn't concentrate on what the professor was saying in class cuz my mind was thinking about Taehyung.

Ever since that day he has been acting strange- like in a weird way... It seems like he is growing distant from me.

What happened?

What is wrong with him?

Did I do anything wrong?

Thoughts clouded in my head as I tried to think of the past things I did, for him to act like this. But there were none.

Just then the bell rings breaking my thoughts off as I shook my head.

"Y/n are you alright?" Jungkook who was seated beside me looked at me in concern.

"I'm okay Kookie!" I smiled not wanting to trouble him with my thoughts.

"Okay, if there's anything don't hesitate to talk to me alright?" He smiled softly and I nod mirroring his smile.

"Ah! I have to meet the professor, so I won't be joining you for break." He said as he slung his backpack on his shoulder.

"Oh no problem!" I said and he waved before walking the opposite direction of the cafeteria.

Stepping into the cafeteria I looked around for Lisa and there she was seated at a table in the corner.

Getting myself a gimbab and a drink I walked towards the table and plopped myself on the chair across her.

"Hey Y/n!" She greeted while eating.

"Hey!" I replied smiling.

"Where's Jungkook?"

"He had to meet the professor so he won't be joining." I said and she hummed.

While she was talking about random things my mind drifted back again to Taehyung's behaviour which resulted in me giving less attention to what she was saying.

"Y/n? What's wrong?" Lisa asked probably noticing the lack of response I gave and the little frown I had whenever I was deep in thought.

Though I'm good at giving advice to people, I couldn't give advice to myself.

I needed a person to talk to. It's best to tell Lisa cuz she is good at giving advice too.

"Lisa, it's about Taehyung" I started off and told her about his sudden change of behaviour ever since that day after he saw Jungkook at the coffee shop.

"I tried telling him that I was helping Jungkook but he didn't allow me to and he just walked away." I heaved a big sigh.

"So did you try telling him again?" Lisa questioned taking everything into her head.

"When I went home he wasn't there so I waited till he returned." I said and she gestured me to continue.

"I told him that I was helping Jungkook with his notes cuz he was finding it difficult- but Tae's reaction screamed 'I don't care'. He just shrugged his shoulders and muttered a 'whatever' and left."

"I just don't understand what's happening Lisa." I said in a frustrated tone.

"Maybe he's afraid that he will be replaced.." she said in an unsure tone.

"No, I made it clear to him about that." I said while taking a bite from my gimbab.

"Hmmm maybe he's on his man period!" Lisa's statement made me chuckle.

"It's best if you could talk things out with Taehyung." She said after a long pause.

"That's the only way you would know what's wrong Y/n."

"Yeah I'll do that. Hope it works" I sighed.

"Don't worry everything will be alright!" She smiled softly.

As soon as the bell rang I waved at Lisa and proceeded to my next class which I had with Taehyung.

Hopefully I could speak to him after class.

But he did not turn up. In fact I didn't see him the whole day.. I was the first to leave home this morning since I had an early class.

Where could he be?

Narrator Pov

After her part time job Y/n walked home in hopes to see Taehyung as it was already past seven o'clock.

But as she unlocked the door there were no signs of him, which meant that he wasn't back.

He was with Eunha again.

This has been happening for the past few days. He comes home late in the night after Y/n falls asleep.

"I must have a talk with him today." Y/n said to herself as she decided to stay up till he returns.

After washing up and changing into comfortable clothes, she sits on the couch and scrolls through her social media.

An hour passed.

Two hours vanished.

He hasn't come yet.

What's taking him so long? She wondered checking the time.

Taehyung finally arrives a few hours later unaware that Y/n was awake.

"Taehyung" Her sudden voice made him flinch slightly as he turns and looks at her with wide eyes.

For a second something flickered in his brown orbs but he immediately covered it up with his blank expression.

"Y/n? What are you doing up late?" He asked not expecting to see her awake.

"I was waiting for you. Where were you the whole day?"

"Had plans with Eunha." He replied nonchalantly, which made her furrow her brows.

"Eunha?" She asked which made him shrug his shoulders as he muttered a "Yeah" and started walking towards his room.

"You've suddenly changed Tae. You've been missing classes and constantly coming home really late these days after hanging out with Eunha- also, I feel like you're growing distant from me- and that makes me really worried. What's happening?" Her words made him stop.

Taehyung heaves a sigh before turning around to face her.

"Who asked you to worry about me?" His question threw her off guard.

"Huh?" was the only thing that left her mouth.

"In other words- Mind your own business Y/n and stop being concerned about me." He said with no emotion.

Her eyes were wide open as she was speechless "T-Tae w-wh--"

Tears started brimming in Y/n's eyes. She was beyond shocked. She never expected Taehyung to talk to her in this manner.

What has happened to him? She thought.

"W-what's wrong with you?" She was startled by his behaviour.

"I decide what I do cuz it's my life. So stop poking yourself in it." He finished.

Poking myself? She scoffed in disbelief, those words made her snap.

"I'm sorry okay?! Very sorry for 'poking myself' into your issues!" She yelled quoting his words.
"I'll just mind my own business." She was hurt.

"Didn't expect you to talk like this." She whispered sadly looking into his eyes before running into her room and slamming the door shut while tears poured down her cheeks.

She was beyond hurt and confused. Everything happened so suddenly.

She tried consoling herself saying that maybe- maybe he's had a bad day today, which made him act like this and she hoped that he will be the old Tae she knows tomorrow.

Hopefully.

On the other side, Taehyung still stood rooted in one place after Y/n shut the door.

He felt his heart clench seeing her hurt and in tears- something he hated to see in her and that made him hate himself more as he was the cause for it.

"I'm sorry Y/n." He whispered.
