Tae's POV

Ara - " Taehyung, can we talk about the kiss?"

She randomly blurted out and I couldn't process what she said.

Tae - " Huh?"

She looked down and then back at me.

Ara - " Can we talk about the kiss that happened at your house?"

This time she spoke slowly and clearly.

And my face flushed red.

I wasn't expecting her to wanna talk about it this boldly.

She gave me a questioning look.

Tae - " Y-yeah."

Tae's mind - " The hell....why am I acting like a teenager..... Taehyung stop blushing.....it's not like it was my first kiss....what's wrong with you."

Ara - " Well....it was very random....I don't know h-how we lead to it."

She spoke looking somewhere else, while I was staring at her.

Tae's mind - "What's the purpose of this talk...she wanna hint about something , does she wants something more than friends?"

I don't know why but my heart raced with excitement.

Ara - " That was very wrong."

She stated with firmness.

And my heart dropped.

Ara - " We are friends, we shouldn't have done that.....I really regret that."

Her voice indicated her guilt.

The more she was saying the more I felt my mouth getting dry.

Ara - " I hope it doesn't effect our friendship."

She finally made an eye contact with me.

I was silent, I couldn't decide what to say.

I was feeling a weird sensation in my heart as if I experienced a heart break when I didn't.

Ara - " Taehyung?"

She called me expecting an answer.

I finally gathered myself to utter something.

Tae - " Ofcourse, it will not effect our friendship."

I spoke blandly.

She gave me smile and nodded.

I also gave a tight lipped smile.

And we started walking again.

Tae's mind - " She is correct though...why am I reacting as as if she rejected my proposal...that kiss shouldn't have happened...'cause we are just friends..she is right."

I tried to console myself.

Jimin - " What?"

He exclaimed loudly with shock .

Tae - " There is no other answer, other than the fact that Damin is dead..we know about Jung's dirty deed of not paying for their workers family after their death....This explains why it's difficult for his family to make the both ends meet recently."

I tried to prove my point.

Jimin - " Makes sense, but we cannot put this forward to the hyungs,until we have a strong a proof like..........his dead body."

And the room went silent.

Finding the dead body of someone about whose death we aren't even sure of, is a very very difficult task.

But we cannot move forward with our search and our objectives until this Damin thing is cleared.

Jewon - " Sir maybe the tracker could be of some help."

Tae - " Right,find out the last place where his tracker was fine before it started to show weird locations for few seconds."

He nodded and I stood up, rubbing my forehead.

Tae - " Ok, get this work done as soon as possible, I am leaving I have something important to do."

Jimin scrunched his nose at my comment but sighed before taking out his phone.

Time skip

Me and Ara were hanging out in the downtown.

Ara - " How was your day?"

She asked smiling broadly while walking besides me.

I sighed with that question.

Tae - " My days are always stressful..."

I spoke looking ahead and then turned towards her who gave me a pitying look.

I smiled at that cute look of hers.

Tae - " But gladly I have someone who brings me happiness in between all that stress."

I said looking at her.

She looked alerted.

Ara - " Who?"

She asked with curiosity pouring out off her expressions.

I kept looking at her without saying anything and watched how her eyebrows relaxed and widened eyes got to normal as she understood my question.

Ara - " Are you perhaps talking about m-me?"

She asked hesitantly.

I chuckled.

Tae - " Who else would it be?"

She shrugged her shoulders and walked ahead.

I was waiting for her reply but she just remain silent.

Tae - " Won't you say something?"

Ara - " What?"

She asked in confusion.

Tae - " I told you that you bring me happiness shouldn't you also compliment me?"

I asked with raised eyebrows.

I wanted to know what I bring into her life...what I mean to her.

She squinted her eyes .

Ara - " My days aren't that bad like yours....I have really good friends."

She said sassily.

Tae - " Oh really?...who all friends do you have?"

She paused and blinked her eyes.

Ara - " Ummm.....I have jin oppa...... ryujin.......s-sohyun too I guess."

I pursed my lips.

Tae's mind - " Are these real people or is she making them up....maybe she really have some friends."

Tae - " So you do know some people."

I nodded at my own statement.

Ara - " What do you mean by that?"

She sounded offended.

Tae - " No...I mean you never mentioned anyone ever."

Ara - " Yeahh..I didn't...Leave it....but yeah you can really make my day today if you buy me umm.....a"

She looked around.

Ara - " An ice cream."

She beamed.

I chuckled at that sweet demand.

Tae - " I would not miss this chance.....tell me what flavour you want?"

She smirked slightly.

Ara - "That's the actual task for you."

I made an " oooh" face and pointed my finger at her.

Tae - " Wait for me then."

I said and rushed towards the ice cream parlour, across us.

I reached there and looked at the menu.

Tae's mind - " What flavour would she like???.....I really don't want to get it wrong."

I thought while biting my thumb.

Tae - " Hey!"

I called the shopkeeper, still looking at the menu

Tae - " Give a strawberry flavoured ice cream....... wait no... chocolate....give me choco-.....no no no wait....umm... give me cookie and cre-...... nevermind give me all three of them."

I looked up to the shopkeeper who had a confused look.

Shopkeeper - " Sir you want one strawberry, one chocolate and one....?"

Tae - " Cookie and cream."

I answered his question.

He nodded
and in a couple of minutes got me my order.

Shopkeeper - " Here you go sir."

Tae - " Here's your money."

I paid and turned around to look for Ara.

But my eye brows scrunched and smile dropped when I saw her talking with a man.

I quickly made my way towards her.

And the moment I saw the face of that man my mouth went dry.

Tae - " Ara!"

I screamed a little out of fear.

She flinched and that man looked at me.

Ara - " Oh, you are back.....wait...you got three of them."

She said eyeing the ice creams in my hand.

Tae - " Who is he?"

I ignored her talk and questioned with anger lacing my voice.

Ara - " Oh...he was asking me for directions......I don't know...but can you direct him the way."

That man smirked and showed me a paper with an address.

"Here"

He said.

Tae - " What do you want jungkook?"

I mumbled with gritted teeth because I know he is definitely not here looking for any address.

Ara looked at us confused.

Ara - " You know him?"

She asked.

Tae - " Come,lets go from here."

I told her.

Ara - " Wait.."

She took the cookie and cream ice cream from me and

HAND IT OVER TO HIM.

Ara - " Sorry....he don't know the way as well......here, have this..we have an extra."

Jungkook fake smiled at her and took the ice cream.

I tried to stop her.

Tae - " Ar-"

But he already took it from her.

Tae - " What are you doing Ara?"

I scolded her.

Ara - " Let's go."

She said and took the chocolate ice cream from me.

We walked ahead.

Tae - " Why did you gave our ice cream to him....what were you even doing ....he was a stranger to you."

I spoke with irritation and anger.

Ara  - " We had an extra ice cream...I don't even like cookie and cream, so I gave it to him....why are you getting so upset?"

She spoke quietly, getting a little scared by my anger.

I sighed heavily trying to calm my anger.

Ara - " Ok, I am sorry... don't be upset......come on eat your ice  cream...its melting."

She said softly nudging me.

Tae - " I don't eat ice cream especially not the strawberry flavour."

I said blankly, rolling my eyes.

Ara - " Oh......I also don't like strawberry flavour."

She thought what to do

But

I saw a dustbin nearby and threw the ice cream there.

Ara - " Yahh....why you wasted it...we could have given it to someone."

Tae - " Let's goo."

I said and held her free hand dragging her forward.

Walking for sometime she finally finished her ice cream.

Ara - " Woah..it was amazing!"

She exclaimed licking her lips.

Tae - " Ara .....move in with me."
