Not everyone is going to be there the entire book of your life.

Some people will only be there for certain chapters. Some characters will be supporting, some will be antagonists, some will be mentors, some will be victims. You can't think that everyone you start out with will be the characters you end with. As your story evolves, as you evolve as your own protagonist, the other roles in your book will change. You can't hold yourself back just in case those characters might return to your story; you have to keep living, even if that means living without them.

You are the protagonist of your own story. Don't let anyone hold you back from writing your own ending.
