Back to story...
Olivia's P.O.V.
Y-You can't walk !!!
You can't walk !!!
You can't walk !!!
That's the only thing in my mind.
I tried to sleep. But I can't.
Why should I even open my eyes ? What is left to see ?
In my 16 years of life, I saw everything.
Death of my Bestfriend !
Hate of my twin !
Ignorance of my Brothers !
Strictness of my parents !
Worst side of my Boyfriend !
And now this ? I am tired. Tired of living.
I can't even lift my head to see what's around me. I am just too tired. My family is sitting beside me, their faces pale and strained, but they don't say anything. They're just staring at me with those sad eyes, and I can tell they've been crying. They still didn't notice that I am awake and I don't want them to notice me, like usual.
My legs feel heavy, but they're not there. I try to move my toes, my feet, anything, but nothing responds. It's like my body has betrayed me, like I'm trapped in someone else's skin. This isn't real. It can't be.
Can't I just consider it a bad dream and forget it ?
I am tired of suffering, God.
The tears start to flow, hot and fast, streaming down my cheeks. I want to scream, to throw something, to lash out at this cruel joke, but all I can do is cry. My future is gone. Everything I've worked for, all my dreams, they're just ashes now. I was supposed to travel, to build a career, to have a life. Now what am I ? A burden ? A weakling ? I feel so helpless, so small.
"Olivia" I looks at my twin.
Hearing his voice, everyone's eyes snaps towards me and in a moment, my mom with Hazel and Sophia are beside me.
"Y-You Okay, Olivia ?" My Mom asks me, gently.
Okay ?
Yes obviously I am okay. I just can't walk for the rest of my life. Other than that, I am absolutely okay.
I can hear the machines beeping around me, a constant reminder that I'm not in control. I hate it. I hate being here, being stuck like this, being pitied. The looks on my parents' faces say it all: they're grieving for me, for the life I won't have, for the things I'll never do. And I can't stand it.
Hazel wipes my eyes as I just look at her.
"Olivia please say something." Sophia says softly.
What is there to say ?
I can't walk now. I am bound to wheelchair forever.
My life is ruined.
"P-Please leave me alone." I let out a raspy whisper and close my eyes indicating everyone to leave me alone.
"B-But-"
Before Hazel could finish, I look at her. She sighs and everyone leaves the room one by one.
I look at my legs and tears rolls down my eyes.
I can't walk now.
My eyes widen as the realisation hits me like a truck.
The tears start to well up in my eyes, blurring the edges of the room. I can feel them pooling, the heat of them sliding down my cheeks, but I'm not ready to believe what's happening. Not yet. I blink hard, as if I can clear away the fog of disbelief, but it only makes the tears spill faster.
How will I live now ?
How will I fulfill my dreams now ?
The nurse checks my IV, and I hear her voice, gentle and calm, but it's like she's talking through a wall of water. She tries to calm me down. But, I just don't want to listen to her. I don't want to hear any more about my condition, about how things will be "different" from now on. I just want to wake up from this nightmare, to move my legs, to feel the ground beneath my feet again.
I look down at the blanket covering me, where my legs should be moving, twitching, anything. But there's nothing. No response, no sign of life. Just a heavy, numb stillness. It's like I'm staring at someone else's body, a body that's become a stranger to me. My chest tightens, and the tears become a stream, steady and relentless.
I feel a sob building in my throat, a pressure that's too much to contain. I try to hold it back, to keep some semblance of control, but then it bursts out of me, a deep, raw sound that echoes in the sterile room. It's like I'm breaking apart, my insides shattering into a thousand jagged pieces. The sobs keep coming, each one harder than the last, until I'm gasping for breath between them.
Suddenly, I felt someone pull me towards them. The warmth feeling spreads within me.
But at this moment, I just don't care.
"Olivia, please- Calm down.... Look, your breathings are uneven."
I can't stop. I don't want to stop. It's like the reality of my situation has hit me like a truck, and all I can do is cry.
I reach down to touch my legs, to see if I can feel anything, but there's only the cool fabric of the blanket. I grip it tightly, my knuckles turning white, as if somehow that will bring back the sensation, the connection to my body. But it doesn't.
I'm paralyzed. I'm trapped.
The sobs shake me to my core. I can hear some voices trying to comfort me, their voices soft and soothing, but it's like they're a million miles away. I don't want their comfort; I want my life back. I want to walk, to run, to dance. I want to be free.
But I can't. And that realization is the heaviest burden of all. It settles in my chest, deep and immovable, a constant reminder of everything I've lost. The tears keep falling, and I don't know when they'll stop. I don't know if they ever will.

Mason's P.O.V.
Tears rolls down my eyes.
It breaks my heart seeing Olivia so vulnerable in William's arms.
I never thought I'd see Olivia cry like that.
We are twins. And people says, we could feel each other's pain. I don't know at what amount my hate blinds me that I stopped feeling pain of her. But, right now at this moment, seeing a strong girl infront of me, crying like that shatters my heart into million pieces.
I obviously hated her for some obvious reason. I hated her because she did something in past, that she shouldn't. But that doesn't mean, I want to see her suffer like this.
My eyes widen as tears are rolling down my cheeks when I saw her touching her legs to feel something.
My heart clenches when I hear her heartwrenching sobs.
"Olivia" William again calls her but she just ignore him and keep crying.
"Will, P-Please do something, she will get panic attack like this-" Jack says. His eyes are red. My brothers never cries. I never saw them crying. But, looking at everyone's face, I could say they all are sad and control themselves infront of everyone.
"Olivia" He shakes her slightly trying to make her focus on himself but nothing happens.
"OLIVIA LOOK AT ME." He slightly raises his voice and in an instant Olivia looks him in his eyes. Her eyes are still red with tears streaming down.
"Listen to me, Olivia and listen to me carefully." He cups her small face in his large hands.
"This is not your fate, Olivia. You will walk again. There are many Specialists in this field." He says, confidently.
"Y-You- are l-lyi-ing- a-as usual, you are lying." She sobs harder.
"I promise you, Lia"
Olivia's eyes widen. She stares at him in shock.
The nickname she got from William when we are kids is always her weakness and hearing it after years, obviously made her freeze on her spot.
He pulls her in his arms and hugs her but she didn't hug back. She keeps blankly staring at the space with her still tearful gaze.

Author's P.O.V.
It's been three days and Olivia is getting discharged today.
These three days are the worst days of Hernandez'.
Olivia didn't utter a single word in these three days. Literally not a single word. She just nods and shakes her head if Doctor or her parents asks her something important. Other than that, no words, no expressions, nothing.
Her eyes held pain yet emotionless.
No one could tell by looking at her that She is THE Olivia Hernandez, the most beautiful girl of the school.
Black lines were visible under her eyes, she had not slept for many nights. Nightmares, future surrounding by darkness, all is eating her up. Her dreams, her career, everything is on stake.
Moreover, the only fear she is having is to being Burden !!!
She always wants to become the pride of her parents. She always to see them proud for her.
What if they will get disappointment after seeing her on wheelchair ?
What if no doctor could cure her ?
What if she can't walk again ?
What if she will be bound to wheelchair forever ?
"Olivia" She flinch out of her phase and looks at Hazel.
"Are you ready ?" She asks, to which Olivia just slightly nods her head.
William immediately shifts her to the wheelchair from the bed carefully, minding her other injuries.
"Let's go" William mutters and started rolling the chair towards outside of the room.
What if they will think her as a Burden ?
