The following weeks after Vivian asked Kellin to go with them went by in a chaotic blur for Oli. Leading up to the day they were leaving he went into work overdrive, getting everything ready for his leave—again. This year alone he's taken more vacation time than he's ever had to before. He feels like he can't take another vacation after this for another year or two.
Though, he won't be completely shut off from work this time around. The deal he mentioned to Vivian last time was well on its way but he still has to keep in contact with the man he had phone meetings with. It wasn't necessarily a big deal but he was opening up a new location but this time it was in a hotel in Las Vegas. It was a whole other level of partnership that Oli wasn't used to. Oli needed to make sure everything was okay while he was gone and also needed to start looking into hiring interior designers and-
It was a whole thing. He was a little stressed but it came with the job he loved.
Oli couldn't lie though, what was stressing him out was this trip. The days following after Kellin told Vivian yes were a little chaotic with trying to figure out where they were staying and for how long. By the time the two sat down to talk that over, Mike texted Kellin to tell him that he got them a place to stay since they wouldn't be staying at their grandparents' place. Too many people to try to accommodate which—wouldn't have been necessary since Oli didn't want to stay with them anyway.
But it was a little too late for that, reservations had been made and Oli understood—on a small level—how hard it was to say no to Vivian after she gets excited over something. The one thing they did put their foot down—well... Oli put his foot down on—was that they weren't going to stay for the same amount of time the rest of them were doing.
It took a little bit of time to convince Kellin because the plan was to go and leave with Vivian. But Oli didn't see the necessity of staying past what Kellin said he'd be there for. He was still worried about Kellin, especially after his breakdown that day. It was concerning knowing that Kellin would do anything Vivian asked of him, even if he was uncomfortable. So, the sooner they could leave after the cemetery visit the better.
Oli's sure that Vivian doesn't know she puts Kellin into these uncomfortable positions... or at least he hopes that's not what she's doing. Either way, they were only going to stay a few days—a little under half the original week the Fuentes family were staying for.
Their flight was later than the others as well, since they booked their tickets after they did—the flight Nicholas originally got was full, or at least that's what Oli said.
Kellin was sitting next to him, nervously picking at his jeans, while they rode silently in the cab taking them to the house Mike reserved for the week. It's large enough to hold all of them in their own space and Oli hopes the room that's meant for them was away from Vic and Nicholas. Was he being too paranoid? Or villanizing them too much? The times they talked to Kellin were when they weren't in front of Vivian and if she was there, the conversations weren't uncomfortable.
Still, he couldn't help but keep walls up and be ready for whatever they might try.
"We could say 'Fuck it' and go get a reservation somewhere else," Oli joked—suggested—as he grabbed onto Kellin's hand that was currently digging into the fabric of his jeans. He laced their fingers together, squeezing his hand gently, "Couple days of vacation here sounds nice."
Kellin looked over at him with a frown on his face that disappeared and was replaced with a tense smile, "Yeah?"
"Mm," Oli glanced to the front, seeing the driver focused on the road, before bringing his hand up and kissing it on the top, "What d'you say?"
Before Kellin could answer, they felt the cab slow to a stop. After pushing a button to open the trunk, the driver looked into the rearview mirror, "Ya llegamos (We're here)."
"Too late," Kellin mumbled, pulled his hand away, smiled politely at the driver, and stumbled through the Spanish he was practicing while walking out of the airport, "Uh, gracias... C-Cuanto va ser? (Uh, thank you... how much is it going to be?)"
Oli smiled at how shy and unsure Kellin sounded as he opened the door and got out of the cab. He let Kellin handle paying the driver, he definitely wouldn't be any help. He went to the back of the cab and lifted the trunk before taking their luggage out. The sun was still high and beating down on them by the time they got to the house, even if their flights were at a later time they still got here a little after 2 pm. Thankfully, they didn't have any plans today and they'd be going to the cemetery the next day so, Oli could make sure Kellin could relax for the rest of the day.
"Oh, hey Mike," Oli heard Kellin say. He looked over after closing the trunk of the cab to see Mike walking down the path that led into the house, he opened the gate once he got to the end of it, letting them in. The tall man had his hands stuffed into his shorts and tilted his chin up in greeting.
"Hey, I was coming here to help but, looks like you got it covered?" Mike said as the cab drove away, "Hey Oliver."
"Hi," Oli picked up the luggage from where he set them on the ground and walked over to where they were standing, "He was practicing on the flight." He let out a soft 'oof,' when Kellin gently elbowed him on the side.
Mike chuckled and nodded toward the house, "Let me show you where your room is, you look exhausted."
That was an understatement. Oli knew Kellin didn't sleep well the night before, when he woke up, Kellin was already wide awake and scrolling on his phone. At the time, Oli didn't say anything because he knew it would probably just make Kellin more nervous. So, he did what he always did and made him his favorite breakfast and made sure to make him a coffee that'll hold him over till they got here.
Then he'd say something when they were in the comfort and privacy of their room.
"Where's mom?" Kellin asked, following after Mike when he started to walk back up the path. The house looked like a vacation home Oli used to dream of owning when he was 16. It was a modern two-story build, with white sleek walls—aside from one wall that had a natural stone pattern—and large windows. The thing Oli found interesting was there were two buildings next to each other separated by the path they were walking on.
"She's out with Vic and Nico," Mike shrugged, "She wanted to go visit her sister today and Vic offered to take her. They should be back later."
Kellin nodded and continued to look around the place.
"So, that's the main house," Mike pointed at the larger house with the natural stone wall, "There's three rooms in that one and we decided to take up those, and that one," Mike pointed to the smaller building next to it, "That has one bedroom upstairs and the kitchen on the bottom. We thought it'd be best if you guys get that one... for some space and all."
Oli didn't realize he was holding his breath till he felt himself physically relax after hearing the room arrangements. That's better than he could've hoped for.
"Thanks," Kellin smiled sheepishly.
"We already dragged you here," Mike shrugged, "Might as well try not making it more uncomfortable than it already is... So, make yourselves at home, and yeah... I'll be in my room if you need anything it's the first door on the left once you go up the stairs."
Dragged was a strong word, considering they're here willingly. Well Kellin is, Oli's just here to make sure he's okay during this trip. Kellin nodded, "Alright, cool... thanks again Mike... seriously."
He waved him off with a smile before turning on his heel and heading towards the main house, leaving the couple alone. "C'mon, love," Oli started to make his way to the other house, "You need a nap."
"I do not," Kellin huffed and followed after him, "I slept a little on the plane, I'm fine."
✘
By the time Oli woke up from his nap, the sun was starting to set.
After they got into the room, and Oli put their luggage in the corner of the room, he found Kellin splayed on the bed with his eyes closed. He didn't even hear him getting into bed but he was glad that Kellin immediately went to sleep. It saved him the trouble of convincing him to lie down and nap.
Oli fell asleep a few minutes after him but woke up before Kellin. He was still cuddled up next to Oli, his arm thrown over Oli's waist, snoring softly. Oli didn't move for a while and kept his (tingling) arm wrapped around him while he used the other to scroll through his phone. At some point, someone knocked on their door but Oli didn't get up.
He didn't want to accidentally wake him up. Oli sort of felt bad because it might've been Vivian but, he was sure Kellin didn't sleep at all the night before so he wasn't going to risk him waking up.
Kellin didn't wake up till the sun finally set. It was dark outside save for the lamps that stuck out of the ground to illuminate the path and the bright lights from the main house. Oli heard him make a soft noise before he felt him squirming, when he looked over at him his sleepy eyes were looking around before they landed on him.
"Hi," Oli smiled and leaned down placing a kiss on his forehead. Kellin hummed, giving him a sleepy smile, before cuddling even closer against him, "Did you sleep well?"
"Mm," Kellin yawned, "How long was I out?"
"A few hours."
"Shit," Kellin huffed and pulled away sitting up. He rubbed his palms against his eyes, "You should've woken me up..."
Oli sat up with him, kissing his shoulder before shaking his head, "Nope, you needed your sleep."
Kellin turned to him and sighed, reaching up to cup his jaw. Oli gave him his best smile and that instantly got Kellin to blush. He leaned in and kissed Oli for a second before pulling away, "Thanks..."
Oli grinned, grabbing hold of his wrist, before kissing the palm of his hand, "Let's go see if I can make you somethin' to eat." Before Kellin could protest, his stomach growled making Oli chuckle. "Mhm, let's go," he said as he got up while Kellin groaned and fell back onto the bed.
"Can't we just stay in bed?"
"You were just tellin' me I should've woken you up earlier," Oli walked over to the other side of the bed and grabbed onto his hands, "Now you're tellin' me to let you stay in bed?"
"I can change my mind," Kellin pouted up at him, "I'll give you kisses?"
"Tempting," Oli grinned before hauling him up to a sitting position, "But you need to eat, we only ate once today."
Kellin sighed and brushed his fingers through his hair, settling the messy bedhead that he had. Oli watched him sit there for a beat. He didn't rush him. Oli knew he was trying to mentally prepare himself to see everyone down there. The unfortunate reality set in that they didn't just sneak off to another country for a small vacation like how they snuck off to another city a few weeks ago.
"Fine," Kellin huffed and got out of bed. Oli smiled down at him, cupping his cheeks, before leaning down to give him a quick peck on the lips. He took Kellin's hand in his and led him out of the room and downstairs to the dark empty kitchen. Kellin was quick to peek over to the other house while Oli tried to find the light switches to this place, "Wait I see my mom, let's go say hi first."
Oli looked over to the other house and saw the lights on and the tv on the wall playing a soap opera. With the large windows in these houses, privacy was practically nonexistent. Upstairs, in the room they were staying in, was surrounded by the large windows but thankfully Oli found a switch to the motorized shades—leaving the room almost pitch black just like how he liked it when he slept.
He made a mental note to suggest getting some for Kellin's apartment since one wall was basically all window. With the loft style apartment, Oli was shocked he could fall asleep since the city lights never let the room be in complete darkness.
Kellin grabbed hold of Oli's hand when he walked over to him before they walked together over to the main house. Oli could see Vivian sitting on one of the sofas and in front of her was a glass coffee table that had a mug and a plate with crumbs on it. She was alone and talking at the tv, they couldn't quite hear what she was saying until Kellin opened the door, and in came the Spanish cussing as a couple made out on the tv.
Oli pursed his lips, trying not to laugh, especially when she huffed and crossed her arms like a child throwing a tantrum. "No lo puedo creer (I can't believe this)..." she mumbled before letting out a laugh when the girl pulled away and smacked the guy, "Hah! Por pende- (That's what you get, idi-) Oh! Hi Kellin, Oliver, I'm glad you're awake!"
Kellin laughed softly and sat down next to her when the two walked over to the couch. He threw his arms around her and gave her a quick hug before pulling away with a smile, looking at ease—a first today, Oli marveled over how quickly Kellin could become relaxed with Vivian. He was almost jealous (for no reason, really, since he has that same effect on Kellin).
"Hi mom," Kellin sighed in content, "How was visiting your sister?"
Oli leaned down to hug her after before taking a seat next to Kellin. The couch definitely wasn't big enough for the three of them but Kellin was practically sitting on Oli's lap so they could give Vivian enough room to be comfortable. So, it was fine, more than fine in Oli's opinion.
"It was good!" She beamed, looking more energetic than Oli thinks she's been in a while. Or at least that's what Kellin says, the last time Oli saw her she still looked and acted the same. But, he could tell from the tiredness in her eyes and the way she looked skinnier than usual that the cancer wasn't giving her a fighting chance. "We caught up and talked about life, I haven't seen her in a while so it was a good visit... how was your flight? Tiring I'm assuming?"
Kellin smiled sheepishly, "Just a little... sorry we weren't up when you came back."
Vivian waved him off, "That's okay, they kept me company for a while but then Nicholas wanted to go to his room and Vic followed after him like a lost puppy." She rolled her eyes before leaning forward, picking up her mug from the coffee table with a shaky hand. Oli frowned at that but she took a sip out of it before setting it on her lap.
"Mike was just out here but he needed to make a quick phone call but, now you two are here... Unless you guys have plans for the night? You should go explore!"
"Oh, no-" Kellin was shaking his head just as Oli saw someone from the corner of his eye, Mike coming down the stairs and pocketing his phone.
"Look who's finally up," Mike teased, walking over to sit on the sofa chair next to the couch at the end where Vivian sat. Oli gave a curt nod in acknowledgement and Kellin simply rolled his eyes. "So, what are we talking about?"
"I was telling them they should go out to explore since they're not staying the entire week," Vivian grabbed the control from the armrest and paused her soap opera, "It's a beautiful city, especially at night it's very lively."
"We shouldn't," Kellin grabbed hold of Oli's hand, which was settled on his thigh, lacing their fingers together. Whether he did it subconsciously or not, Oli still felt that warmth spread over his chest. "Aren't we going to the cemetery early tomorrow?"
"Um..." Mike scratched at the side of his face, contemplating on answering since this wouldn't help them at all over Vivian's insistent push to get them out of the house for god knows what. "Not anymore, I just got off the phone with my cousin and he said they're doing maintenance all morning, apparently there was a bad flood and they'd rather not let anyone in... they should be done in the afternoon, though."
Kellin looked concerned and Vivian instantly frowned before looking over at Mike but before she could ask he shook his head. "His grave is fine, it thankfully didn't reach him," he assured her.
She instantly relaxed before looking over at the two with a small smile, "Go enjoy yourself like a young happy couple normally would," she pushed and Oli saw the way her eyes lit up—almost similar to the way he saw Jaime get an idea—, "You should go to the bar I met my husband in!"
Oh, the love story of Vivian and Victor Sr. The amount of times Kellin had heard that story was too many to count. Oli could tell by the fond look on Kellin's face that she piqued his curiosity but there was still a hesitant look on his face, "But, it's already so late and-"
"Late!" Vivian laughed, shaking her head and tsk-ing softy, "When I was your age I was out till the sun came back up."
"Remember when she used to get mad at us for staying out past 10," Mike snorted, "Bar sounds fun."
"That was different," Vivian glared at him, with a smile on her lips, "You were 16."
"I should be spending time with you," Kellin huffed softly with a pout on his lip, getting Vivian's attention again, "Why are you trying to get rid of me?"
Oli smiled softly at the hurt puppy look Kellin had on his face. Oli wondered briefly if this was Vivian's plan all along, a "family" vacation together in hopes of distracting everyone from the sad reality. And also to distract them from the evident immense sadness they still felt around this time. Oli, obviously, didn't know them enough to know how they got around this time—Kellin was the only informant on that but even then, out of respect, he never gave too many details.
But Mike looked okay. Better than okay. And Vivian, although with the sadness that pooled in her eyes, didn't let it affect her as a whole as much as it used to. The only person he hasn't seen was Vic and maybe that's the reason, since he's mourning and rarely visited his dad's grave before. Vic probably deals with it in isolation.
"I'm not," Vivian said gently, a fond smile on her face like she expected this from him, "I'm tired from the day and going to bed anyway, but you two- well, three since Mike decided to invite himself-"
"They wouldn't survive out there without me!"
Vivian ignored him, rolling her eyes playfully, "Should go out, have fun, and not stay in the house cooped up and bored."
Oli watched Kellin contemplating it which, again he thought was a little concerning. Kellin doesn't drink anymore. A bar, even if he could stand being inside one and not drink, wouldn't really be an ideal hang out spot. But what Oli didn't know was that Kellin was in love with Vivian and her husband's first time meeting. He heard about that bar more than he paid attention in class and he was always curious about it. Kellin always had that small dream to go visit it and he's had chances before when they'd tour Latin America.
But the timing never felt right.
This time around it didn't have anything to do with satisfying Vivian's wish but more about satisfying his own curiosity. His own experience with the (un)familiar bar that he's heard about since he was 14 years old. But of course he wouldn't say yes until he checked in with Oli.
Kellin turned back to look at him, silently asking if he wanted to. Oli didn't really need to debate this because either way they'll get out of the house—hopefully get some food—but more importantly, stay away from Vic and Nicholas. Was it terrible of him to be banking on Vic being too depressed to come out? So they won't have to deal with him and his fiancé?
Oli shrugged, giving him a lopsided grin, "I could use a drink."
✘
The story Kellin was told about Vivian and Victor Sr.'s meeting was the typical meet-cute story.
Vivian was 19 years old and finishing her first year of college. It was during the summer, her and her friends decided to go out to celebrate finishing their exams and praying over shots of vodka that they passed their classes. Vivian wasn't the type of girl to go out to bars, she thought they were too annoying and hated the drunk people that she had to deal with or have to protect her friends from.
She was a gorgeous woman within a group of other similarly beautiful women but she wasn't the one getting hit on constantly. Or she probably was but she was too clueless to notice (this was true). Kellin was 100% sure that she always had guys trying to win her over.
The bar was full, typical considering it was the only bar closest to campus that wouldn't upcharge simply because it was the end of the school year (or any other holiday/festivities). Vivian was sitting on one of the stools sipping on her fourth drink of the night while her friends were dancing. She would have joined them but she didn't feel like dancing and used the excuse of wearing the wrong shoes.
"That night I was wearing my favorite skirt," Vivian grinned, "A long white flowy one with a cute green top I owned. Of course, he couldn't resist!"
Victor Sr. was working at the bar that night, he was a new worker trying to make ends meet and saving up for when he gets to go to America—he was just waiting for his worker's visa to be approved—and he couldn't help but strike up a conversation with her when he found her sitting there alone. Or at least he thought she was alone. Vic's dad was a social butterfly in his own right but that night Vivian knocked him down a few pegs.
Vivian told Kellin that he was nervous, stumbling over his words and saying the wrong things but there was a cuteness to it that she loved it.
By the time her friends realized she wasn't dancing with them, Vivian and Victor were talking as if he wasn't working and as if they'd known each other their entire lives. One of her friends stumbled over to her, to get her to come dance, spilling her drink all over Vivian's shirt and Victor Sr. took it upon himself to lend her his shirt. They wore uniforms at that bar so he gave her the shirt he would've worn going back home.
Obviously, she had to give the shirt back so, she came back to the bar with a freshly washed shirt and the rest was history.
Kellin retold that story to Oli as if he was the one who lived it. A sparkle in his eye paired with a mischievous grin when he got to the part of the drink being spilled on Vivian's shirt. "Sounds familiar, huh?" Kellin looked up at Oli once they walked into the bar.
Before getting to the bar, Oli made sure they went out somewhere to eat. He knew Kellin wasn't drinking and Oli would probably just have a drink or two but he needed to get food into Kellin somehow. It was a small detour but he was sure Mike didn't mind since he covered for their dinner.
Oli felt his heart skip a beat thinking back to that night they originally met. "Mm, doesn't ring a bell," Oli grinned as he draped his arm over Kellin's shoulders. Kellin rolled his eyes with a smile on his face.
The bar was fairly larger than Oli expected to see, though he should've realized it was more like a small club when Kellin told him Vivian's friends were dancing during the story. The front half of the building was where the bar was with tall stools lining against the counter. There were a couple of small tables scattered around in front of it.
Past that was a dance floor filled with people huddled up dancing and a small stage where a DJ sat playing music Oli couldn't begin to understand what they were saying. It was energetic and loud and the people dancing were moving to the beat with their cups shot up into the air or tipped back into their mouths.
The building was full of people and if it weren't for Kellin's quickly maneuvering through people, they wouldn't have been able to find three empty stools at the bar.
"Damn," Mike huffed as he sat down next to Kellin, Oli sat on the other side of him, "This place is packed."
"I didn't expect it to be this full," Kellin said over the music, reaching over beside him to grab Oli's hand to wrap his arm around him. Oli let him, scooting the stool closer to him so he could comfortably wrap his arm around Kellin's waist, "It's a Monday night why are there so many people?"
Mike shrugged, "The same could be said about us, why are we here on a Monday night?"
Oli settled his chin on Kellin's shoulder and looked over at the menu that was pasted onto the bar counter, protected by a hard plastic. His eyebrows furrowed, reading over it a couple of times before muttering, "I don't see non-alcoholic ones."
'Nothing like Deliza's drink menu.'
"Non-alcoholic," Mike snorted, "We're at a bar who doesn't want to drink-" Kellin pointed at himself and Mike furrowed his eyebrows, "You drink."
"Not anymore, gave it up two years ago," Kellin shrugged and tilted his head to the side to look at Oli, "It's okay, they have to have water."
"Since when did you stop drinking?" Mike asked as he looked over the menu, "Last time I saw you, you were drunk out of your mind during a party in your house."
Kellin hummed as he signaled for the bartender to come over to get their orders, "Yeah well after New York, when I realized I'd drink half my weight when I was upset or stressed, thought maybe I should quit while I have the chance."
Mike pursed his lips, "Touché..." He turned to the bartender to start ordering, "Vamos a querer... (We're going to want...)"
After Mike ordered drinks, and Kellin a glass of water, they lounged around the bar mostly silent. Oli didn't feel awkward about it, he's pretty sure he's been placed in so many awkward moments recently that he's gotten used to them. But it's mostly because he doesn't feel on edge with Mike, unlike with Vic, there's just a tiny awkward feeling because they don't know each other. Which, Oli would like to keep it like that if he was being honest.
He could tell that Kellin did feel awkward by how he shifted in his seat and pinched at the fabric of his jeans. It's like he wanted to talk but had nothing to talk about. Oli tends to forget, like he does with everything involving them, that they used to be close friends and lived together. So going from that to whatever this was, was probably hard for Kellin. It was probably hard for Mike too but he didn't look as awkward as Kellin did.
"So," Mike said, ending the silence between them, turning to look at the two, "You're a restaurant owner."
Oli blinked. He didn't process quickly enough that Mike was talking to him. "Uh, yeah," Oli lifted the glass of whisky he ordered, taking a sip from it, "And you're in a band."
Mike grinned, "That I am." Kellin drank from his glass of water silently, shrinking into his seat. Mike sat up, leaning against the bar on his elbows with his fist perching up his head, "You two been dating for a while?"
Kellin choked on his water a bit and placed it down on the counter. Oli bit back a laugh and started to gently pat his back, causing him to blush. Once he stopped coughing, he stuttered out, "Yeah, s-something like that."
"That's cool. You look... really happy," Mike said, a genuine smile on his face. The most genuine Kellin probably has ever seen on Mike in his life. Kellin gave him a nod and a shy smile. Okay, maybe Oli does like Mike a little bit. Before Kellin could keep the conversation going, finally feeling a little comfortable in his skin, the sound of Mike's phone ringing interrupted them. He sighed a little and took out his phone, rolling his eyes at the contact picture that Oli couldn't see from where he sat, "I'll be back."
Mike slid off his seat and walked off to find a quieter place to answer. Once he was out of earshot, Oli sat up and turned Kellin in his seat to face him, smirk on his face, teasing him, "Something like that?"
"Shut up," Kellin laughed, throwing his arms over his shoulders leaning forward in his seat while Oli easily placed his hands on his waist, "It's weird talking about this with your ex's little brother, what was I supposed to say?"
Oli chuckled softly and leaned in to leave a peck on the tip of his nose, "That I'm yours..." a kiss on his cheek, "...and utterly..." a kiss on the corner of his mouth—Oli's heart was thumping against his chest, "...in love and obsessed..." Oli brushed his lips against Kellin's and went in for the-
"Kellinnnnn!"
Kellin pulled away with a confused frown making Oli sigh a little in frustration. He didn't realize why he pulled away till he looked over to see Mike walking towards them with an apologetic look and- 'Never mind, I don't like Mike anymore.'
Nicholas came over, dragging Vic along with him, before hugging Kellin from behind. Kellin's eyes flickered over to Oli, clearly uncomfortable especially because he was still sitting but more importantly Nicholas was hugging him. Oli didn't like that. Nicholas continued this act that they're cool with each other. And after that last comment he made to Kellin, Oli thinks Nicholas was downright delusional at this point. When he pulled away, Kellin turned in his chair again to face them. Oli was quick to wrap a protective arm around him.
"Hi Oli," Nicholas greeted. His eyes flickered down to his arm briefly, a wry smile on his face.
"Didn't know you guys were joinin' us," Oli said back instead, looking at Mike who again gave him an apologetic look and shrugged pointing at Nicholas. He was behind them so they couldn't see him.
"We wanted to come see the bar Vivian keeps talking about," Nicholas said with a shrug before leaning against the bar and calling the bartender over.
Kellin shifted in his seat again, turning to face the bar, grabbed his glass of water that was almost empty, and started to drink out of it again—wishing it was anything but water at that moment. Mind running with who knows what. Oli continued to hold him, eyes directed at Vic who kept staring at Kellin. Looking at him as if Oli wasn't there and as if he didn't have his arms wrapped around him.
Oli didn't know what came over him when he reached up to cup Kellin's cheek—Vic finally noticed Oli there at that moment, gaze turning hard—but there was no stopping him now. Oli turned Kellin's face to him and leaned in to kiss him right in front of the blank face Vic had. When he pulled away, he grinned at his blushing face, "Let's go dance, yeah?"
"D-Dance?" Kellin stuttered out, a cute confused look on his face. Of course, he was confused over that. Oli doesn't dance, he doesn't like to because he doesn't particularly know how to. But, he didn't care at that moment, he was more focused on getting Kellin away from this mess.
So much for a fun relaxing night.
Oli got up from his seat, pushed the chair back, and helped Kellin off his before shrugging, "I like this song, c'mon."
"We'll join you guys after!" Nicholas called out. Oli glanced back and saw Mike and Nicholas ordering while Vic glared after them. Oli chuckled softly, feeling weirdly proud at the fact that he got under his skin. Maybe Jaime was right, that is fun.
As they got to the dance floor, a soft reggaeton song started to play. A sharp contrast to what they were playing earlier, the DJ said something into the mic—something about enamorados?—that Oli didn't quite understand. Couples around them danced to the sensual beat and suddenly Oli was regretting pulling Kellin out to dance.
'Whatever keeps that shiny look in Kellin's eyes,' he reminds himself.
✘
Kellin was shocked when Oli pulled him out to dance. Even more shocked when he attempted to actually dance and... honestly very attracted at the fact that he did well after the initial awkward movements. Granted Kellin had to guide him a bit, he definitely got into it after Kellin started to dance and grind against him considering the song he pulled him out to dance to.
"What's up with you tonight?" He asked, giggling softly as they walked into their dark room, the shades still pulled down except for one of the panels that let the light of the moon bleed through. They left the bar a little while ago after dancing to a couple of more songs and sneaking away once they were satisfied with their "fun night" out.
Kellin texted Mike after they left, letting him know they'd be leaving first. Once they were in the cab Oli was kissing at his jaw and lips and holding him close against him by his hip.
"Don't know what you're talkin' about, love," Oli had that wolffish grin that made Kellin's heart thump against his chest. He gripped onto Kellin's hips, leaning down to kiss him while they walked towards the bed. Once the back of Kellin's knees hit the edge of it, Oli pulled away to slip off Kellin's shirt. They climbed onto the bed after, Oli slotted between Kellin's legs before leaning back down to bury his face into his neck.
"You sure?" Kellin sighed softly when Oli gripped the side of his neck, to tilt his head, and leaned in to start suckling on the sensitive skin, making shivers run down his spine. Kellin didn't really get what happened to make Oli get even more touchier with him than he usually is. He definitely wasn't complaining and for whatever reason it was, he welcomes it.
"Didn't know you could dance like that," Oli nipped at the skin making Kellin whine softly. He pulled away to look down at his flush skin, dark hazel eyes trailing down to the bulge in Kellin's jeans.
"What do you mean?" Kellin panted softly, back arching off the bed when Oli started to palm him through the fabric, "You're already well acquainted to how I could move my hips."
"Yeah?" Oli pressed down onto the bulge, making him hiss softly. He stopped touching him, gripping onto Kellin's hips before turning them around so Oli laid on his back and Kellin sat on his lap. Oli placed his hands on Kellin's ass, squeezing it, "Maybe you should remind me."
Kellin grinned down at him, placing his hands on his chest, "I do love showing off."
