Nalia's POV
"First, I just want to start by saying I'm so sorry for everything I've done unto you" Diamond said but couldn't even look in me in eye.

"Diamond, if you're asking for someone's forgiveness, you make sure to look at them directly" I told her like I'm was scolding a young child.

"Sorry, I'll keep that in mind" Diamond nods in understanding.

"We're jumping off topic now tell me the real reason for your current situation, I want you to tell me everything with anything missed out" I sternly expressed to her.

"It started a few months ago after I confronted you at Coney Island and I have to say you have a nice kick, it really knocked me off my feet" Diamond chuckled to herself there was no humor in

I wanted to laugh but I settled for patting myself on the back internally.

"Diamond, we're going off topic again please continue" I said in a frustrated tone.

"When Dad and Mom saw the bruises on my face, they formulated a plan to make you pay for what you did.

They also wanted to use it as an opportunity to get some money out of the whole ordeal.

But their plan was thrown into the gutter when they sent the fake letter in my name that I was going to sue you for assault.

The next day I saw them leaving the house quietly so I wouldn't notice them gone.

I purposely woke up early that morning to see if they were actually going to visit your office to meet you personally.

Nalia, when I tell you I had no part in their plans you gotta believe me" I wanted to believe her but I had my doubts, she could still be working with them for all I know.

"That same day they came home pissed off and start taking out their anger on me.
They hired a private investigator that started tailing you and your boyfriend and reporting to them about your whereabouts and whatnots.

For weeks they were raging about the way you had treated them like they were nothing and kicking them out of your company.

According to them, it was completely embarrassing to their public image.

I think you scarred both their egos." The right side of my lip came a crawling smirk.

A few minutes of uncomfortable silence Diamond started crying for an unknown reason.

"Hey, why are you crying?" I asked her but she just sobs harder.

I'm really confused on what's going on right now.

I just sat and let her do her thing because when she's done she's going to tell me.

Diamond looks at me with puffy red eyes and her nose slightly red from the crying and she spoke up

"They want to ruin my life to better themselves" Diamond told me pulling her hair in frustration making her wavy locks messy.

"Why? What do you mean?" I coaxed her to tell me more.

"In order to save their crumbling company, they set up an arranged marriage for me without asking if I wanted it or not.

The suitor they chose to be my future husband including his family came for a dinner party last night at the house.

I didn't know what and how to feel about the whole situation at all.

But I still went along with it not knowing I was walking into my own trap.

In my head I was thinking it was going to be a young man my age or a few years older, but what I expect was a short pudgy middle aged man.

I wanted to leave when I saw him and the looks he was giving that made me feel very uncomfortable, but I didn't want to disappoint Dad and Mom.

I tried making a small chat with him but he seemed like the controlling type and he wasn't getting in my good books" She took a few calming breaths before going on.

"I didn't think they were going to go through with the arrangement after noticing my displeasure with that man, and they did telling me that's going to be my future husband.

I freaked out and Mom tried to persuade me that I have to accept it.

At that moment my mind just told me to run till I can no more, I first thing that came to mind was to come to you.

I don't know why but everything in my mind was just telling me come to you and beg for forgiveness even though it'll take a lifetime. I sound very senseless right now" Diamond nervously bit her lip evading my gaze.

"Why didn't you go to Wayne's house isn't he your boyfriend?" She quickly shook her head.

"We broke up a week ago over some argument again" I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"I know" Diamond says dejectedly with a sad smile on her face.

See let me tell you about Diamond and her boyfriend Wayne.

They have what you call an open relationship when both parties decide to date other people and still call themselves a couple.

Clearly that didn't work out for them because their relationship was alway on and off.

They breakup today two or three days later they makeup.

But seeing that they broke up a week ago and didn't makeup, I think this time it's serious.

I actually liked Wayne before he and Diamond became a couple.

I was the first to see him but when I saw the infatuated look Diamond had in her eyes when she laid eyes on him.

I couldn't do that to her because I refuse to be fighting over some guy with my sister.

I still love the foolish girl even though she treated me bad.

Watching their relationship from afar I'm glad I didn't get on that train because an open relationship is not in my dictionary.

I don't like to share things I consider mine.

"Diamond, do you remember the parting words I told you before leaving that house?" She hums in response.

"As I said before Diamond, when you've received and accepted handouts your entire life, it's only right you give back and maybe your parents saw this arrangement they made for you as a way to pay them back for providing you with everything under the sun" The look on Diamond's face right now is of pure regret and sadness a little piece of my heart felt pity for her.

"Nalia, I'm sorry for everything I've done to you I was jealous of you and wanted to be like you.

I was so jealous of the way you carried yourself even when everyone including myself tried bring you down but you didn't.

I was jealous of that ability that you had that's why I treated you like you were nothing" Diamond starts confessing the things I already knew.

Each time she treated me harshly the envy was always written all over her face and her eyes was always quick to give it away.

She stood up from the bed walking to me and got down on her knees in front of me shocking me.

"Gurl, what is you doing? Get you ass up!" She shakes her head when I tried helping her to her feet she grabbed my hands in a tight grip.

"Please Nalia, I know that you might hate me and not ready to forgive me but I need you to save me from them. I don't want to marry that man or go back to our parents" I struggled to get my hands from her grasp.

I gave her a look an she shook her head crying harder.

"Diamond, I don't hate you and I already forgave you long ago, hating someone is an emotion that I don't want to be burdened by" I sat back down and she looks at me with widen eyes.

"You don't hate me?" She whispers barely audible for me to hear her.

"Let go of my hands" She quickly loosen her clutch.

"Listen to me carefully, I will help you mustn't betray my trust or I'll make your life a living hell and you know I don't make empty promises right." I said in a warning tone.

"I know you don't and I won't betray I swear that I'm my life" Diamond said with a voice tone filled with desperation.

"Good, now first thing first I want you to take a shower and I'll bring clothes for you to change into. You're coming with me to the office" I got up from the bean bag pulling her up with me and directing her to the bathroom.

I opened the white painted door and gently pushed her inside.

"This is the first step to changing the horrible fate your parents paved for you" With that being said I shut the door in her face and walked out of the guest bedroom.

Diamond is still my sister after all so as the 2 mins older sister I'll protect her.

"I'm way too damn nice for my own good" I rub my head in a circular motion groaning making my way up to my bedroom.
