MOVECITY ARRIVAL.

1777, JULY 16th, SATURDAY 9:00am.

Sunlight filled the sky as the blimp drifted towards the massive behemoth of a city that just came into view. Venny had taken the wheel back from Rad the moment dawn came while everyone else got up and had breakfast.

"Bienvenido everyone, to MoooooveCiiiiiiiittyyy!" Venny shouted. "Population of over ten million and ever single persona es un create user!"

"Welcome to the place where people never grow up," Rad said. "Where everyone is ruled by some kind of toy. And believe me, there are plenty of toys."

"Currently, MoveCity is ruled by Raptorman. As you may know, it is a chaotic place. There is only one law – hospitals are to be unharmed."

Noche moved her shaking legs to the front of the blimp and took a long look at the city ahead.

"As tu can see, the city is divided into four major sectors. Southern docks, where ocean y harbor resides. Western desert, which we are currently flying over. Northern playground, where people gather to play with create. Finalmente, the eastern mountain range, which we're hoping won't be destroyed any time soon now that the city is closer to it."

"Closer to it?" Noche asked.

"Si! That's why MoveCity is on the edge of the Chaos desert. Since the sand is constantly expanding from all the constant destruction, every other generation or so, the city moves to the new borders of the desert."

"Normally, the old city is completely destroyed and a new one is created with the aid of a couple thousand construction workers," Rad said.

"MoveCity has yet to move since Raptorman renamed it. Might be a few more decades before it has to de nuevo."

"I was wondering why it wasn't at the center of all that sand," Noche said.

"Anyways – here outcasts from all walks of life gather from across elm undo. This place is la corazon of all cultures. A mixing pot of every walk of life. No one language, no one religion, and no social norms."

The blimp inched its way towards the outskirts of MoveCity. Thousands of forgotten creations laid partially buried all across its borders.

"What're those?" Noche asked.

"Todas de la cosas that people create and then abandon. MoveCity has excellent recycling and destruction programs, but it still can't keep up with insane amount of create people use every day."

"I've lost track of the number of trinkets and stuff Venny's found buried in the sand," Rad chuckled.

"It's archeology! Es muy divertido."

Tak joined Noche by the window, followed by Mary, Alice, and even Boots. Shaylin stayed far away from anything that showed how high up they were. Beyond the random creations buried in the sands, at the city limits, entire buildings crumbled and were re-created. A three-story building exploded and a minute later was restored in a flash of prismatic energy.

"What the fuck?" Noche said.

"Yep – welcome to MoveCity," Venny chuckled.

Graffiti was scattered all across the city. There were words and tags all over the place and just as many smiley faces, peace signs, arrows, and other symbology. Countless metal signs were sticking out of the ground and embedded into buildings. There was a stop sign that was sticking out of a wall like a flag pole.

There were enough metal signs of arrows pointing in random directions to make one dizzy. Broken swords, spears, axes, and other weapons littered the streets and sidewalk. Noche's eyes scanned all over the place before a loud explosion drew her gaze ahead. A giant key, twice the size of a semi-truck, had fallen from the sky and destroyed three buildings.

South of that a yoyo the size of a wrecking ball slammed into another building. Out of the corner of Noche's eye was an actively running lawnmower tied to a giant balloon. Up ahead a massive jack in the box appeared and when the jester popped out it was holding a can of soda that sprayed liquid everywhere.

Everywhere she looked were giant objects – as if people created them for titans. There were flags, antennas, satellite dishes, clothespins, sundials, thermometers, marbles, alarm clocks, screws, padlocks, bells, a ball-peen hammer, and other things that were larger than a building. Countless statues were scattered about and most of them were broken to pieces.

To the west was a massive trampoline with about a hundred people jumping on it. When they reached the apex of their jumps prismatic energy shimmered above them and became gliders. One of them even used a comically large umbrella. They scattered like a swarm of insects as they flew in all directions.

Then there was the fighting – the sheer amount of people engaged in combat could be seen all across the city. From people with giant anime swords, to dual-wielding pistols, to ol' fashion fisticuffs. Rainbow energy filled the air around the combatants as create became an explosion of fire or a lance of lightning.

A window exploded into a thousand glass shards as a chair went flying out of it. Only for create to repair the window just before the chair hit the ground, right next to a pile of more broken chairs. An arrow the size of a skyscraper flew in the direction of the blimp, but it's aim was off and went right past it.

Beyond the city, in the distant mountain range, a giant rubber band ball fell from the sky and hit the rock. It bounced off, breaking a huge chunk of stone, before it exploded like a frag grenade in mid-air. Thousands of titanous rubber bands went flying in all directions.

One such rubber band hit a massive desk fan, causing it to tip. As it settled down it continued to blow air as it rotated left and right – a forest worth of trees south of the mountain bending with its gale.

Then a giant wooden puppet caught Noche's eyes. It moved about on invisible strings and started smashing buildings; people were thrown into the air as it swung it's arms. Fire, lightning, and tornados impacted its wooden body, but it continued its kaiju rampage. The giant was defeated when a cartoonish anvil the size of a cruise ship fell on its head.

Nearby a giant yellow pool ball with the number nine on it came crashing down an ally. It tore through walls like they were paper barriers. However, a man came towards the hurdling orb and caught it with both hands. It slowed to a stop, before he picked it up, and tossed it back the way it came.

To Noche's right was the ocean and floating in it was a large collection of massive No two pencils and an equally large, soaked, notebook. The docks were full of boats of all kinds of sizes. The sky was full of all sorts of aircraft, from planes, to helicopters, to hot air balloons, but mostly blimps. There was a metric shit ton of blimps.

For every second Noche's eyes lingered on the area there was an explosion or fireworks in view. People jumped into the air like fleas and some of those that fell created parachutes, hang gliders, or other things to slow their descent and drift about. One person had even created a giant dandelion seed and was floating through the air on that.

Even from this distance, the city was loud. Just a constant cacophony of shouting, gunshots, explosions, sirens, construction, destruction, and other such booming noises. It was a place of constant chaos and it seemed the people there had grown used to it. Even with everything burning around them, there were countless people casually walking on the streets, talking to passersbys, or shopping unconcerned.

"Is it always this chaotic?" Noche asked.

"Si, always."

"This place is the perfect example of people never grow up," Rad said. "I'd bet that you could name anything and right now someone is creating it here."

"I don't know, I can think of some hard stuff to create."

"That's fair, but we also know a few chemists that can make almost anything."

"The most powerful de create users are siempre chemists," Venny said. "Recuerda, even if create requires intelligence, statistically there are bound to be some geniuses living here."

"Honestly I forget Noche is smart enough to do basic chemistry bruh," Mary said.

"Well fuck you too."

"Si, despite what you are seeing outside, most people aren't smart enough to create a wide variety of stuffs."

As the blimp approached the outskirts of MoveCity, three people jumped towards it.

"Rad, mi armor, can you deal with them?"

"I got it," he scoffed. "Every god-damn time we fly here. Do these people have nothing better to do?"

"Need any help?" Noche asked.

"Naaaaaahhh. Rad'll handle it."

Venny laid back in her chair and placed both hands behind her head. Noche's eyes lingered on the girl for a moment before turning to the window. Outside Rad had intercepted the three and they were all on the ground. Prismatic energy surrounded the trio before it changed into a wave of fire, lightning, and ice.

Rad reacted by creating a stone wall, and then smashing it once the attacks died down. Two of the three dodged the rubble, but the last guy got hit. He squirmed on the ground while clutching his gut. The other two charged towards Rad, but the dark-skinned man was faster.

Noche watched all this with perplexed brows. Was this really a fight? It felt so... Slow. The attacks were pathetic, the lightning was feeble, and the flames were weaker than a campfire.

"Venny? Are they seriously fighting? Or is this a game?"

She leaned over and stared at Noche. "I forget, you're all from Cross. Claro, que esto seems silly to you."

"So they are fighting seriously?"

"Si! Well, sorta. They're just trying to harass us. Maybe they no like our news channel. Maybe they decided to bully the first blimp they came across. Who can say? But most people don't murder out in the open like this – there might not be laws, but there is frontier justice."

"Still, even if they're holding back, it seems so weak."

"Remember, not everyone trains hard like you soldiers. Sure, there's a bunch of strong people in MoveCity, but the common folk aren't much stronger than a human at peak physical strength. Five hundred pounds is the lifting limit for a majority of citizens."

"Is that so?" Noche mumbled.

Down below, Rad had managed to knock one person out. The other person looked haggard and the man with the gut wound was standing once again.

"That reminds me! The decennial tournament is about to begin!" Venny shouted.

"The what now?"

"Nina, por favor. The tournament! The one MoveCity has every ten years!"

Noche shook her head and grimaced.

"Aye no. Ok. So MoveCity has always been governed by the strongest person, right? Well, there used to be fighting every day to determine the leader, that is, until someone invented the tournament," Venny said. "Now every ten years, the victor of the tournament gets to fight the current ruler for leadership of the city."

"I'm guessing that means Raptorman won the last one?"

"Did he ever – most people see him as a god. His power is insane! I heard he's even able to fight a Cross general."

"Is this tournament popular!"

"Muy popular! This city is lawless, it's hard to find a good buzz when everything is legal. Sex, drugs, general chaos, and other taboo things aren't condemned here like they are elsewhere. Frowned upon, sure, but not condemned. This is the only place in el mundo where you can do whatever you want and nobody gives a fuck!" Venny chuckled. "Destruction sings its symphony and create repairs any damages done with its own melody. All the while nobody bats an eye. People pay chaos as much mind as a spring breeze. But the tournament, the tournament siempre brings in a crowd. A chance to have a new leader. For everything to radically change. Es always exciting."

"Don't some people get tired of the chaos?"

"Oh si – of course. Those people tend to move to other, smaller settlements. MoveCity might be the biggest on the continent, but it doesn't mean it's the only one."

Noche nodded. "Makes sense. Honeyville, hell even Tak's home village seemed a lot more peaceful compared to this."

"Cierto. Smaller places tend to have an easier time taking care of themselves. Normally having a dozen or so people act as a police force. Plus, being on good enough terms with Cross to call them for help in those rare emergencias."

"So MoveCity is a big, chaotic, and on bad terms with Cross. Anything else I should know."

Venny placed her finger to lips and tapped. "Well, el ciudad es divided into sectors. Places where certain cultures and languages are more prominent. This place is like the big melting pot of the world, so lots of different customs, even street by street."

Noche turned back to Rad's fight. There was only one person standing now, but he had created a sword. The man lunged for Rad, but Rad was faster. He dodged, disarmed the man, and grabbed the sword. In a swift motion, Rad planted the sword in the man's gut and kicked him away.

"Ohh, looks like I were wrong. They did intend to kill us," Venny shrugged. "Oopsies."

With all three attackers defeated, Rad jumped back to the airship – prismatic energy becoming bursts of air that guided him towards the open door. Once he landed inside he collapsed to the floor and gulped in air like a drowning man. His entire body covered in sweat.

"Esta bien, mi amor?"

"Si – just, just need some air. Fuck."

Rad laid on the ground, exhausted. Noche couldn't help but pity the man, that fight was so boring it couldn't even be considered a warmup exercise for her.

"Would you like some water?" The blonde asked.

"Yes. Please."

Noche created a big plastic bottle filled with the stuff. A minute later Rad grabbed it and gulped half the contents down in one sitting. A moment later the blimp arrived at MoveCity.

"We're here!" Venny shouted.

The pink-haired girl went towards the blimp's door, created an anchor, tied it to a metal post, and tossed it down. It landed on someone's roof causing it to crack. Noche snickered before turning to Venny.

"Wouldn't it make more sense to land the blimp?"

"Es safer in the air."

Noche nodded, then jumped out. She landed in the city, there were buildings around her, but being this close to the desert caused sand to cover the pavement. The blonde couldn't suppress the shiver that overtook her whole body the moment she registered sand under her feet. Turning around and facing the desert was outright impossible. She'd rather focus on the endless rows of buildings in front of her than the infinite sands behind her.

"Hey! That's me house!" A man shouted. "Git yer anchor outta me house!"

Noche turned to see three drunk men sitting on a porch. The man shouting took a swig from a bottle, before lowering it and raising his middle finger.

"Callate pendejo!" Venny yelled.

"What did you say!"

The pink-haired girl raised her stinger and swayed the scorpion tail side to side.

"You want to go, old man!"

He blanched a bit and took another swallow from his bottle.

"Me fooking house. Second time today something crashed into it."

The two other drunks chuckled, and one even patted his friend on the back. They went back to their drinking and mumbling as Noche looked around. To the side a group was playing cards on a rooftop, someone was levitating laundry up onto a wire, and in the distance a building was on fire.

"How do people survive here?" She asked.

Rad walked past her and Noche had to blink. The man was holding a rocket launcher.

"Ready mi amor?"

"Yes Venny."

"Disparar!"

The missile flew past Noche's head and towards a tank that was aiming at the blimp. It was a moment too late, the tank fired, and Venny's blimp exploded into a ball of flame and shrapnel. However, Rad's missile hit a split second later – causing the tank to flip onto its side.

"People survive by paying attention," Rad smirked.

"W-Why! Just why!" The blond shouted.

"Relajarse, it's only a blimp. I can create another one."

"Gee golly gosh, a blimp isn't easy to create. How long did it take you to master it."

"To learn it inside and out? About five years."

"Five years!" Noche shouted.

"Sounds about right," Shaylin nodded.

"You're not one to talk, you can create robots!"

"Tu puede create robots! Que incredible!"

"I can't even imagine creating something so complicated. Makes my head spin," Noche frowned. "The most advanced thing I've ever created was a pair of headphones."

"Creating complicated stuff is hard. Most people can only create the basics," Venny nodded. "People who are good at creating often find good paying jobs in el commercial district."

"Where's that?"

"Center de la ciudad. Right under the big, crowned TV. Always bustling with people selling trades like plumbing, electrical, auto-mechanics—"

An explosion shook the street and everyone stumbled. The group turned to see a plume of black smoke rising into the air. Venny shrugged and kept walking.

"Always something needs fixing here."

"You don't say," Noche commented.

With that, the group pressed forward into MoveCity.
