I am very conflicted about Dumbledore after rereading Deathly Hallows today. So I was reading it after I was done with my test add stuff and I found many valid reasons why I can hate him. But he was also a very good character as well, but he wasn't all good either.

Like most of J.K Rowling's characters, Dumbledore was a very in depth written character, and I lived him so much until the last book. Or at least after thinking it over.

Good Things he did:

-give Snape another chance even if he wasn't sure if he had changed or not
-gave Remus Lupin a job
-helped Harry
-defended Sybil Trelawney
-helped Hagrid
-and helped so many other people.

Bad things he did:

-LEFT HARRY IN AN ABUSIVE HOME
-Knew that Sirius was innocent, knew what Sirius meant to James and Lily, but still didn't save him.
-Hid so many things from Harry. Now O understand that this was partially because of plot, but at least explain a little bit
-Abandoned his family when they needed him most.

Of course, I still love Dumbledore, but there are a lot of unnoticeable flaws that are unforgivable in my opinion. I know he apologized, and obviously he had to make mistakes. Plus Harry forgave him.

But what bothered me most about him was that he left baby Harry in a house where he knew that he was going to be abused. I don't care who you are, fictional or real, but I was taught that you never leave anyone in an abusive environment. No one deserves it and I think that Dumbledore could've gave baby Harry to Remus, or better yet, McGonagall! I'd love to read an alternate book or books where Harry was raised by McGonagall!

I'm getting off topic here, but in conclusion: I love Dumbledore, but I cannot forgive him for leaving Harry in an abusive enviorment. And I understand that witho ugh him leaving Harry there, Harry wouldn't be the "Little Boy Living Under The Stairs" but, I just don't like the abusive part. I wish the Dursley's were poor too so like, he could' e lived under the stairs with a reason that isn't abuse, but I mean it's allowed you written.

And I love J.K Rowling and Dumbledore, don't take this the wrong way please. My opinion. Bye.
