Happy April Fools!

Here's a funny little fic I wrote :). It's very delightful and happy!

Title: April Fool's
Rating: PG
That's all I'm gonna say. Don't wanna give a way the fun! *evil laugh*

«Memories will come and go» -> Time of Our Lives by Tyrone Wells

April 1st. A day that will live forever in George's memory. He sat there, on his bed remembering the good times. The great fun he had, and the horrible nightmares as well. The pranks he and his other half had played, and the jokes they had shared. He laughed at the memory of their first prank ever.

It was three days after their 7th birthday and they had decided to switch places. Mum always taught Fred and Dad always taught George since they'd create too much trouble at the same room. They had decided to switch places so that Mum was teaching George and Dad was teaching Fred. Their first Gred and Forge moment ever.

"Now Fred, this is Mercury," she pointed at the planet. "And this is Uranus..."

"No, Mum I'm pretty sure this is my anus," George, pretending to be Fred, pointed at his butt.

"Fred Weasley! I have taught you better!"

George could remember hearing Fred giggle from the other room. Oh Fred. If only he were here...

He remembered their birthdays, always playing prank on everyone. Their best prank was on their 10th birthday.

Fred had hidden in the attic for a week and George had to pretend to be unaware of him hiding. He would sneak up food and feed Fred, and on April Fool's Fred had popped up. Their mum had almost bought the prank. If only Fred was playing the prank this year...

George was secretly hoping that Fred was doing another prank. One of his legendary ones. A holy prank. And if Fred was really, actually joking, then he would've hearing an earful of scolding from everyone.

It wasn't easy celebrating your birthday alone. Every birthday, George had someone to share his presents with, someone to play pranks with during the holidays. Of course, Lee Jordan had helped him a lot. Lee had helped George recover from his nightmare and George mostly forgot that Fred was gone when he was with Lee sometimes. Sometimes.

The most important thing George had learnt from loosing Fred? Everything is temporary. Noting lasts, and especially good things. George hoped to somehow forget Fred, but he knew he couldn't.

Fred wasn't a memory, he was a habit. He was to be remembered everyday, and especially on April Fool's Day.
