5 | THE WORLD'S WORST MOTHER
THE Mikaelson brothers decided to take Margo with them. Kol not trusting anyone with his mate and having a need to be near her after the danger she was in. Not that she cared, ever since he saved her from Damon a few mintues ago, she somehow felt closer to him. Kol felt it to, only differance is that he know what is happening. It's their mate bond strengthening.
Arriving at the Old Witch House, Finn heard them before he saw them. He is standing in the middle of the pentagram with Esther when he heard his brothers and Kol's little human mate. In all honesty, he felt sorry for her. Not because she was mated to his brother but rather that she was caught up in all of this supernatural drama, but he would never tell anyone.
"They're coming, Mother!" He exclaimed in a panic.
"No, it's too soon, the moon is not high enough. Go! Quickly!" She ordered and Bonnie and Abby retreated into the house. Elijah, Klaus and Kol - Margo being carried bridal style by the latter of the three - walked up to the mother-son duo.
"My sons, come forward." The Mikaelson witch said as Kol carefully put Margo on her feet but he kept an arm wrapped around her waist, keeping her safe and near to him.
"Stay beside me, mother." Finn said and the human glance at him, sadness in her eyes. She thought that they were friends, or at least were going to be. The eldest Mikaelson sibling looked away in guilt, he barely knew her and yet he felt like he had to protect her and like she was family. She was so kind to him and his family. She would be the only reason he would regret this desision. She and Sage.
Esther walked into the pentagram and looked at the human before speaking. "It's okay. They can't enter."
"Why would you kill them?" Kol's mate asked the woman, catching - not only her - but the vampires in suprise.
"I love my children but they are a curse on this earth. And I need to remove them." Esther tells her and Margo's anger explodes, it has been happening a lot lately. Usually she wouldn't get angry unless you hurt or talked bad about her friends and family. She pulls away from Kol and walked to Esther.
"That's bullshit." She said bluntly and everyone's eyes widened at the words.
"I beg your pardon?" She asks her, shocked by the nerve of this human.
"All this talk about loving your children, yet you want to kill them. Okay, yeah, maybe life would have been better without vampires, I agree. But we don't live in that life, we live in this one. And they aren't all bad, a little tempered -" She glanced at her best friend with a smile. "But I wouldn't have it any other way." Kol, Klaus and Elijah looked at the human girl with appreciation shining in their eyes - she didn't need to defend them but she did it anyways. Esther took in her words and understood where she was coming from but she couldn't change her mind. She needed to do this.
"I don't expect you to understand my reasons, but like it or not - it's happening." Esther said and Margo sighed in disappointment as she walked back to stand by Kol's side. Kol snapped and approached the pentagram and the torches around it flared up bright and he was driven back.
"That's lovely. We're stuck out here, while the favorite son plays sacrificial lamb. How pathetic you are, Finn." Kol mocked his brother.
"Be quiet, Kol. Your brother know virtue you cannot even imagine." The witch scolded her son and Margo rolled her eyes.
"Whatever you think of us, killing your own children will be an atrocity." Elijah told his mother, trying to persuade her while Kol stepped backwards to stand by his mate's side. He wrapped an arm around her waist again and when she rested her head against his shoulder, he smiled.
"My only regret us that I did not let you die a thousand years ago." She said and Margo winced at her words. She and her mother might not be close but at least she knows her mother loves her.
"Enough. All this talk is boring me. End this now, Mother, or I'll send you back to hell." Klaus told her coldly.
"For a thousand years, I've been forced to watch you. Felt the pain of every victim, suffered whle you shed blood. Even you, Elijah, with your claim to nobility, you're no better. All of you. You're a curse on this earth. Streched out over generations. If you've come to plead for you're life, I'm sorry, you've wasted your time." She tells them and Margo lets out an unintentional snort.
"And the award for mother of the year goes too..." She said sarcastically and trailed off. The Originals had slight smiles on their faces from her words.
Suddenly Esther sensed something and grew panicked.
"No! Sisters! Do not abandon me!" She yelled and the human smiled because she knew Damon and Stefan broke the link Esther had to the witches.
"Mother!" Finn yelled and the pentagrams torches flared up. Finn grabs Esther and Kol uses his vampire speed to spin him and Margo around. He caged her so he could shield her body as the other brother's cowered from the flames. After a moment the torches died out and after he made sure Margo's okay, Kol turned back to his brothers. The Mikaelson trio stand around in shock. Finn and Esther are gone but the Originals live to fight another day.
Kol took his mate home, seeing how exusted she was from the day's activities.
"Come in." She invited and he gladly entered.
"You alright, love?" He questioned her in concern. Today she had been manhandled, almost bitten and drank from by Damon, who she tought of as a friend and Kol - the guy she has a deep connection with but has barely known for fourty-eight hours - almost died and it scared the hell out of her.
"No. I'm not." Margo said honestly and Kol's concern grew. "But I will be and step one to that plan is some sleep." She added on and he gave her a smile.
"I'll see you tomorrow, love." He told her and speeded away. In all honesty, he was planing on leaving this boring town, but he found a reason to stay.

"MARGARET DONAVON!" Is how the human was yelled awake from her peacesful slumber. She jolted awake and an glared at the person who called her from her sleep and used the aweful name she hates oh-so-much. She looked around her room and saw her twin laughing his ass of.
"Matthew Donavon, there better be a good reason why you wake me up." She said with a glare, she loved her sleep.
"We are going running with Elena." He declared and Margo glared at him.
"Yeah, no." Margo immediately declined.
"Why?" He questioned, confused.
"She was going to let my best friend, Elijah, Rebekah and not to mention, Kol, die." She ranted in anger.
"Look, I know-" He started but was cut off by an angry twin.
"No, they are as much family to me as you. I don't know why but they are and you don't have to like it but someday you are going to have to accept it." The Original's mate ranted to her twin, her voice clear and stern.
"Okay." He said sadly and nodded. He didn't like it and didn't want her friends with them but he couldn't do anything about it except for help the Salvatores get rid of them. Margo would be mad for a while but eventually she would see that he did the right thing. Right?
Margo did her usual morning routine and was surprise when her doorbell rang. Putting her slightly wet hair into a ponytail, she went to open the front door and almost wished she didn't.
"What do you want, Damon?" The human asked the vampire who had his usual smirk on his face. She wasn't exactly in the mood for his company. He did threaten her and try to drink blood, all in one day.
"I want to know what the deal is with you and the Mikaelson's?" He asked and she sighed. Not this again.
"They are my friends. You should try and find some, they are great to have. Along with some manners. And the best thing about it, it's free." She bites sarcastically. Margo was usually kind and friendly but when you try to kill her, not so much.
"Or maybe, I should just compel you to tell me the truth." Damon said with narrowed eyes. The next thing that happened, took both of the two beings by surprise. The Salvatore was grabbed and once again pinned against the wall besides the Donovan household. Again.
"You just don't learn, do you, mate?" A threatening voice asked in a growl. Margo looked up to see Kol is the one pinning him down. The soulmates looked at one another and smiled, Damon noticed this and narrowed his eyes once again.
"Listen to me and listen well. If you so much as rearange a hair on her head, I will kill you without blinking. Now I have given you far more chances that I should have and you can thank Margo for that but harm her again and I will kill you." He told then younger vampire seriously and Damon finally got the hint and sighed, liking his life far more than to mess with the human all of the Mikaelson's seemed hell bent on protecting.
"Okay. Sorry Margo." The Salvatore said, sincerly this time, and the human nodded with a small smile accepting the apology and he sped off. She let out a quiet breath of relief but not quiet enough for Kol not to hear.
"You alright, love?" The Original questioned her in concern. He was on his way to come see her when he heard Damon's voice and sped the rest of the way to his soulmate's house.
"Yeah, I am now." She told him with a smile and went inside but not before motioning for him to follow her.
