2 | A WELL DESERVED PUNCH
MARGO is sitting on the couch next to the mirror Kol has been staring at himself in, where she took up residence after she met their mother, Esther. The two would sneak a glance at the other now and again but neither would admit it. It didn’t go unnoticed by the rest of his family and they also figured out who she was. It was rare and special to meet ones mate and they hoped Kol looked after her. Rebekah offered her a seat on the couch next to her but she declined, a woman is doing her nails as she watched the Original family. Rebekah is having her nails polished by an assistant. Kol is standing before a full-length mirror wearing a black evening suit while a tailor adjusts it. Finn and Elijah are also standing in the room preparing for the ball while music is playing.
“Elijah.” The human called out and both him and Kol listens but the latter is pretending he isn’t.
“Margo.” He retorts and she smiles as he calls her, her preferred name that than that awful one.
“Those two shoes looks exactly alike.” She tells him sarcastically and Kol snickers, as does the rest of his family.
“Color.” He said simply and the girl rolled her eyes.
“The black one, duh. You’re wearing a tuxedo not a dark blue suit.” She tells him and his siblings lets out another round of chuckles, liking her sass. It is quiet for a while before Kol speaks up:
“Rebekah? Tell me how handsome I am.” He tells her, his cockiness shinning through.
“Ah Kol, you know I can't be compelled.” She retorts as Margo snickers and Finn grins. The door opens and Klaus walks in and up to Rebekah. Margo smiles at the sight of her best friend and Kol lets out an inaudible growl.
“You went after Elena? What is wrong with you?!” He questioned incredulously and not noticing his best friend.
“Here we go.” Rebekah says with a sigh, knowing what’s coming.
“Do you want another dagger in your heart?” Klaus retorts and Margo rolled her eyes. He may be her best friend but he can really be an idiot sometimes.
“Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have any other tricks?” Kol question, just to rile him up further.
“Oh, go back to staring at yourself.” The hybrid retorts, turning slightly to face his brother and he finally notices his best friend and smiles.
“And who are you, my father?” Kol counters with a mischievous grin, having seen the smile he sent Margo and he didn’t like it. Even if it was a friendly smile but jealousy flooded his mind and his rational side flying out the window, not that he has much of one of begin with.
“No, Kol, but you're in my house.” He replies, ignoring his best friend for now.
“Then perhaps we should go outside.” The youngest Mikaelso challenged his Hybrid brother. Klaus and Kol stare at each other and Margo decided that she had enough.
“Okay, that’s enough.” She told them as she stood up. “You two remind me of Jeremy and Tyler when they were fighting over my sister. Two grown men, sort of, acting like two five-year-olds who is fighting over who goes down the slide first.” She told them with a huff and as she was talking, she crossed her arms over her chest. The rest of the Mikaelson family had amused expressions on their faces as they watched the tiny human lecture the thousand year old vampires.
“Sorry.” They both apologized, not knowing exactly why but doing it anyway.
“Whatever. Now are you going to stand there looking like a lost puppy all day or are you going to give me a hug?” She questioned Klaus and he smiled at her and gladly gave her a hug.
“How come everyone, except me, is getting a hug?” Kol whined and his family chuckled.
“I didn’t get one.” Finn pipes up and grins as Kol glared at him as Esther came into the room.
“Niklaus. Come.” She said from behind Margo and said girl jumped a little.
“Lady, don’t do that. Its freaky.” She told Esther bluntly when she turned to her, causing the Original vampires to hide their laughs with coughs. They failed epically. Grinnig, Klaus goes into another room with his mother and the human huffed.
"I'm going home. You tell that idiot to come visit me when he takes some time of his plan for global domination." She tells the Mikaelson siblings and they nodded - Kol with reluctance but he did it anyway - and said their goodbyes before she left.
She went to the Grill, where she worked along with her brother. Once there and inside she spots Elena and Caroline talking to Rebekah.
"How did you beat me here?" Margo asked as she walked up to them.
"Vampire speed." The Original whispered and the two chuckled. Remember how Elena lied to her, the human turned to the doppelganger with a glare.
"I can explain." The Gilbert said quickly when she saw Margo's glare and Rebekah looks confused.
"I don't want to hear it. You lied to me. Again." Margo said and walked closer to Elena and clenching her fist like Alaric taught her to, she lifted her hand and punched her in the nose. Not hard enough to break it but hard enough to hurt like hell. Both the vampires eyes widened but after a second Rebekah started grinning like a cat who stole cream. Matt, who looked at the girls, eyes flew open and almost fell out his head when he saw his sister punch his ex-girlfriend.
"That's for lying to me about Rebekah. I know she can't do it because she could kill you. Me? Not so much." She told Elena who looked at her in shock as she held her nose that was bleeding a little. Margo grabbed Rebekah's hand and walked to Matt.
"Nice." Rebekah compliments as they walked and Margo gave her a smile.
"I thought so." She said and then looked down at her hand. "My hand doesn't." The girl added on.
"I could heal you, if you want." Rebekah offered but the human shook her head 'no' as Matt made his way over to her.
"Hey sis." He greeted and gave a nod to Rebekah, who looked nervous.
"Hello Matt." Rebekah greeted the bus boy and the two smiled at one another. Margo noticed that the vampire wanted to ask her brother something so she decided to make herself scarce and go put her bag down and her apron on to get ready for the afternoon. When she came back out she saw that Rebekah had left and went over to her twin.
"So..." She said expectantly as she nudged him in the side. His cheeks tinted with pink and she knew something was going on.
"Rebekah invited me to the dance." He todl her, knowing if he didn't tell her, she would just pull it out of him.
"You said yes, right?" She questioned with a smile and when her twin nodded, she grinned.
Later in the afternoon after her shift finished and Klaus stopped by to invite her and to apologise for ignoring her, she went home to get dressed. She had been planing on wearing her Miss Mystic Falls dress beause she can't afford expensive dresses. With practically raising themselves and paying the bills and buying food, the Donavon twins didn't have a lot of extra money. When she stopped infront of her house, there was a new yet filimiar face waiting on her porch. When she got to her porch, she rolled her eyes at the cheeky grin plastered on his face but her heart skipped a beat anyways.
"Hello love." Kol greeted her.
"Hey." She returned the greeting and added a smile, which made a real smile break out on his face.
"Why are you here?" She questioned him, she liked seeing him but she needed to know why he was here. Remembering why he was here because of what his siblings suggested, Kol suddenly became nervous. He was always confident but in this moment, he was terrified that she would reject him.
"I was wondering if I could to accompany you to my families ball?" He asked her and laced his hands behind his back. Feeling like his heart is going to jump out of his chest. Margo sucked in a breath at his words, not expecting them at all.
"Yes." She finally said with a smile as she came back to the reality. A massive grin over took Kol's face and he knew he probably looked like a fool but he couldn't care.
Margo had a few doubts about going with someone who she just met but the rest of the Mikaelson's would be there and she already liked him a lot. Besides, it was in her good and kind nature to help someone out.
"I'll pick you up." He offered her and as soon as she nodded, he sped of back to his home. Not giving her time to change her mind.
Margo went to unlock the door when she saw a box laying there. She picked it up and went inside her house, feeling giddy and excitement the more she thought about the ball but there was another feeling. Something other than the excitement for the ball, a new feeling, one that started with meeting Kol today and Margo didn't know what it was, but she liked it and was willing to see what it was. She closed the door and walked with the box to her room where she opened it. She saw a beautiful red dress and a card on it. The invitation was on he one side and on the other was:
'I can not wait to see you tonight. I hope you like it, Rebekah helped. From Kol.x'
It was a simple letter but the kiss letter nearly made her faint but she controlled herself but a squeal slipped from her lips as she did a happy dance.
Smiling like an idiot Kol walked into the mansion and then into the living room where all his siblings were. They looked over to him and then he shouted:
"She said yes!"

I was so happy when I woke up this morning so I decided to write this. I know it doesn't have a lot of view but it still has more than I expected.
