In Chapter 6~

Y/n then finally started to doze off, her arms wrapped around the petite girl embracing her warmth from the cool crisp air.

TIMESKIP TO A FEW WEEKS~

The three sat in front a doctor who came to visit, he cleared his throat as he checked his little clipboard before finally looking up.

"Hm... You're fully healed," The doctor announced allowing Tanjirou to let out a sigh of relief. As the boys were packing up Y/n heard a familiar cry before a crow swooped in front of Tanjirou's kneeling lap. 

Tanjirou bent his hands down together and the crow jumped upon it.

"North-northeast! North-northeast! Your next mission is north north-east!" The crow cried out. "The three of you are to go to Mt. Natagumo!"

"We're heading out now. Thank you for everything," Tanjirou announced before paying his respect to the old lady. Zenitsu and Y/n did the same except for Inosuke who had just looked into the lady's direction. 

The four started to run the opposite direction from the inn, halfway to their destination Tanjirou abruptly stopped. 

"Ano... Y/n-san," Tanjirou started. "Will... will you be going your way now?" 

"Do you want me too?" 

"NO!-Ah... I mean... I-We would like it if you stayed with us," Tanjirou muttered out. "But then again it is your choice," 

Y/n looked up. There was really no questioning about it, she already knew the answer. 

"I'll stick with you guys if you wouldn't mind me tagging along," She answered.

"Of course!!" Zenitsu swirled around cheerfully before jogging next to the her.

The four had run till the sun set and when the sky had turned dark they finally arrived at their destination. There was an almost ghostly atmosphere as they gazed upon the mountain, tall trees covering their view as they seemed to stretch endlessly into a spiral of complete darkness.

"Hold up! Would you mind holding for a second?" Zenitsu requested. 

"Zenitsu? What's wrong?" Tanjirou asked slightly worried as he turned to look at his yellow-haired friend. 

Y/n looked up with a deadpan stare before staring down at Zenitsu's positon. 

"I'm scared, all right?" Zenitsu shrieked out as he shed comical round tears over and over again. His arms hugging his knees as he sat on the ground, unmoving. "Now that we're nearing our destination, I'm scared!"

"Why the hell is he sitting?" Inosuke asked before insulting Zenitsu's cowering body. "How creepy is that," 

"Who are you to talk, Pig Face! Don't tell me you're not getting any vibes from that mountain!" Zenitsu pointed at the mountain as the three turned around. The two boys felt it... the sinister "vibe" from the mountain whilst Y/n just shrugged. 

"Still, what good will it do to just sit there?" Tanjirou noted as he looked back towards Zenitsu again. 

"I told you, he's creepy," Inosuke repeated his insult.

"I am not in any way creepy!" Zenitsu protested, pointing a finger to accuse them. "I'm normal! I'm the normal one! You guys are abnormal! Y/n-chan!! You agree with me right? You'll stay with me right?" 

Y/n looked at him then Tanjirou and Inosuke then back at Zenitsu before silently shaking her head indicating a 'no' which Zenitsu started to cry even more. 

"Whyyyyy?" He whined. 

Just then Y/n and Tanjirou turned back to the mountain, gazing at it... they seemed to have picked up the same thing as they made eye contact. 

"Eh? What's wrong?" Zenitsu asked as he stopped crying. 

"This smell...," Tanjirou muttered out loud before he started running the the direction. 

"Tanjirou!" Zenitsu called out desperately. 

Inosuke and Y/n ran after him leaving Zenitsu alone. 

"Come on! Wait! Don't leave me here by myself!" Zenitsu called out. They ignored him and continued running. "Don't leave meee!" 

When the three had arrived at what seemed to be the entrance of the mountain they found a boy, lying flat on his stomach, his nichirin blade in his hands before he looked up. 

"H-Help me," He whispered out as tears started to flood out. 

"He's got our uniform on! He's a Demon Slayer! Something must've happened!" Tanjirou insisted before running closer. Leaving Zenitsu frightened once again as he just caught up. 

"Are you okay? What happened?" Tanjirou asked frantically as he stood next to the boy. There was no reply but suddenly there was a gleam of white that flashed by the moonlight before the body was hoisted into the air back into the forest. 

"They were attached to me too! Help me!" The boy cried, his arms outstretched towards the group. Before he was fully inside the forest Y/n jumped up quickly her hands reached for her weapon (her weapon is a wooden pole :))) before she had sliced whatever was stuck on the boy's back. Her arms had then gracefully grabbed onto his body before she landed on the ground. 

"Ah... He's passed out," Y/n noticed as she started to nudge the boy. 

"Y/n-san that... let's leave him be," Tanjirou said before sitting the boy slightly away from the trees. Y/n glanced back at the thin white pieces of thread she had cut. 

"Spiders," Y/n announced. 

"Hai?" 

"Spiders," Y/n said as she stared at Tanjirou. "Look," 

Inosuke barged in front of her whilst Zenitsu quietly followed. 

"Thread?" Tanjirou said. 

Y/n nodded her head. "The boy said that 'They were attached to me too'... I'm guessing we're dealing with demons who have a similarity to spiders... like manipulation of thread that can stick and catch prey... and they could possibly have more body parts like arms," 

Tanjirou let out a nod, Inosuke a gruff of understandment and Zenitsu a cry of torment. 

"Be careful...," Y/n warned, before she ran into the forest. 

"Ah! Wait!" Tanjirou blurted as he hurried and followed along. He hesitated for what seemed like a moment once he smelt a sickening smell of blood... and overwhelming power before he snapped out if it and ran to catch up. Inosuke followed right behind him arguing that he was going to lead and that Tanjirou could follow him. 

Zenitsu stayed quivering on the ground as he stared horrified at the three who ran in.

The three slowed down to a walk. Y/n said nothing when she felt cold air breeze past her, she felt whispers beside her ear and she frowned before whacking her ear with her arm giving the two boys a slight fright. Tanjirou asked her if something was wrong which she shook her head and they continued walking. 

"What the hell," Inosuke said, stopping as he looked down on his hands. His hands were covered in spider thread. 

"Spiders... I guess," Y/n answered before trying to reach for Inosuke's wildly shaking arms. "Inosuke... let me," 

Y/n quickly pulled the thread away from Inosuke's hands and they slowly slithered to the ground. 

"What a pain," Inosuke barked as he looked around the place. 

"Inosuke...," Tanjirou started. 

"What do you want?" Inosuke almost hissed as he brought his hands to a defensive stance. 

"Thank you... for saying you would come with us," Tanjirou smiled. 

Inosuke seemed to have stiffen up before small tuffs of furry balls and a comforting aura seemed to come from out of his unusual loud self. But they were soon interrupted by a rustle above. 

There seemed to be another person wandering around... the similar uniform made the three stare before the figure disappeared more deeply into the woods. 

"Let's go shall we," Y/n said as the two nodded. 

When the three had moved closer in, they saw a boy kneeling down breathing heavily as huge clumps of sweat rolled down his face. Tanjirou lifted his hand to touch the guys shoulder in which he gasped in fright loudly and turned around in a flash. 

"We've come for backup. I'm Tanjirou Kamado, rank Mizunoto," Tanjirou introduced himself. 

"Mizunoto... Muzunoto?" The guy repeated as his face gawked in surprise... It's was as if someone told him the earth was flat. 

"Why didn't they send a Hashira? No matter how many Mizunoto they send, it won't help! It's pointless!" 

The guys words were cut off by Inosuke aggressively punching his face. 

"Inosuke!" Tanjirou screamed, panicking as he held a hand out to stop whatever else Inosuke might have planned.

"Shut up!"  Inosuke ordered before grabbing a tuff of the guys black hair. "As far as pointlessness goes, your existence itself has no point at all! Now hurry up and explain the situation, spineless fool!"

"Who is this guy? Did you forget that I have seniority?" The guy muttered out slightly fearfully before finally explaining. "Th-The crow gave us the order! And ten of us Demon Slayers came here. Not long after we entered the mountain, the Slayers... turned against one another!! I-I..." 

The guy had started to shake as he stopped continuing... his eyes shut from the memory.

"Hush!"

The three boys looked over at Y/n as she lay a finger on her lip. The rustling of leaves caught their attention as they crouched at a defensive posture, hands at the tilt of their sword. Their eyes scanned their surroundings before laying on a single person who seemed to be... walking? The way he walked was stiff as if it was forced... and as the person came closer Y/n saw more emerging from the shadows...
