Chapter 3: Moving out
"There there, I'll kick your *ss if you open the blindfold until I ask you to!" Jenny said, chuckling like a baby.
My sister never grew up, did she? But I like her this way, laughing and playing like a toddler.
"Okay! You can open your eyes, big brother!" She said with enthusiasm
"No, I can't," I said teasingly.
"But why? Aren't you interested in knowing what's my birthday gift for you?" She asked in a sad tone and turned the other side, just like an adorable little baby.
"How can I see your present when you've blindfolded me so tightly that I can't even take it off my face!?"
"Hehe... Sorry." She chuckled and after a long struggle, we finally managed to take that blindfold off my face.
"Now, take a look at this Jake!" She exclaimed.
I opened my eyes and saw that she had bought me A NEW PLAYSTATION!!!!!
"WOW!!! I LOVE IT JENNY!" I shouted in awe.
"THIS IS FABULOUS!"
"I knew you'd like it!" She said making a proud face.
"You're the best idiotic Sister EVER!" I said as I hugged her.
"Yeah yeah, and you're the best idiotic big brother ever Jake..." She said while she patted my back.
"Okay, now help me in packing these!" Jenny said, pointing huge piles of clothes and stuff.
"Sure!" I said and we started packing...
"Jenny? When did you buy this dress?" I asked while I held a pink color frock.
"Last week? I dunno..." She said laughing nervously.
"Do you still wear frocks?"
"What's wrong with wearing a frock?"
"I thought only kids wear it....."
"No idiot! Even Adults wear them!"
"I see... And what's this?" I said while holding a huge makeup kit in front of her.
"Can't you see? It's a makeup kit."
"I know, but why did you buy this?" I asked teasingly.
"Obviously for- WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ASKING ME ALL THESE STUPID QUESTIONS!? Just shut your mouth and do your work properly Jake!" She shouted
"Okay, ma'am!" I said and started packing.
And finally, we were done packing...
"Phew... That's a lot of stuff to pack y' know?" I said while I lay down on the floor, spreading my hands on either side.
"Yeah yeah... I know." She replied as she sat on the floor, letting out a sigh.
"We packed three suitcases for you... That's why I always say not to go shopping every f*cking weekend as if you're gonna wear all those dresses....."
"Yeah you're right, I shouldn't be shopping every weekend. I regret what I did..." She sighed
"And moreover, I've never seen you wear any makeup. Then, why did you buy that makeup kit?"
"Well..... I'll wear that when I go to a party or something....?"
"I see..... Okay, I'm going out Jenny. Bye!" I said and started walking out of her room.
"Bye Jake, be back soon okay?" She said and she lay down on the floor with a thud.
"Yeah sure," I said and got out of our house.
I then quickly turned towards my house and starred it for a while...
"It's only been five years since we moved here but still..... It feels like an eternity and my heart refuses to leave." I sighed and continued, "I'm gonna miss everything about this place..."

"JAKE! JAKE WAKE UP! WE'RE RUNNING LATE! JAKE!!!"
"YES! I'M UP! I'm up! Please don't shout mom..." I got up screaming those words at the top of my lungs.
Well, my mom's scary sometimes... I mean, most of the time.
I then kept starring at the clock for some time cause my vision was blurry. And when my eyesight was back to normal, I saw that the clock read eight a.m in the morning!!! Damn! Our flight was at nine!!!
I quickly brushed my teeth, took a bath and ran downstairs as fast as I could. I saw my dad doing something with his phone, probably... booking a taxi? And my sister was eating serial with my mother.
"Mom! Why didn't you wake me up a bit early?" I asked. She then made an annoyed face and said, "I did you, idiot! You said 'yes mum' and slept once again."
"I see..." I said, laughing nervously. "Okay, now sit down and eat something Jake." My sister said. "Yeah Sure, Jenny," I said and gave her a smile. then... I took my bowl, poured some milk in it, added some serials and started eating.
"Why do you always pour milk before adding serials, Jake? That's not the right procedure ya know?!", Jenny advised. "Nah, I like it this way," I said while I kept a spoon full of serials in my mouth. Jenny sighed and said, "Nevermind.... you never listen to me, do you?"
"Obviously! I'll never listen to you my dear Lil sister~" I said with a teasing tone.
"You idi-"
"Okay..... Now please stop fighting kids! I can't take it anymore!!! Why do you guys always fight like first graders!?" Mom started... "It's highly irritating! Now please stop fighting and finish your breakfast. WE'RE RUNNING LATE! DO YOU EVEN KNOW THAT WE ARE LEFT WITH ONLY FORTY FIFTY MINUTES UNTIL THE FLIGHT TAKES OFF!?!?!?" She screamed.
"O-okay mom...." We said together and started eating. Then, we suddenly heard a doorbell and my mum went to check if it is the taxi we booked a few minutes ago but... It wasn't. When she opened the door, she found four girls waiting outside with a bunch of greetings and gifts. Guess what? They were my sister's best friends.
"Shall we get in Mrs. Fredrickson? Well... We already know that you're in a hurry and we are disturbing you but... This is the last time we're ever gonna meet each other..." They said, making a sad face.
"No problem girls, get in." My mom said and made way for them to get in. And... All of them began cuddling, crying, wiping each other's tears with tissues and..... Ugh, I hate all those kinds of drama!
"Okay, can you just stop there?" I said, "What's the problem with your brother Jenny?" One of her friends asked her, wrinkling her face. "Well... My problem is that I hate stupid dramas... and can you please stop making that face? Cause you look like an old *ss with that gesture."
"This is not a drama okay? We really are gonna miss her! She's our best friend! Moreover, she's not an as*hole like you! And stop commenting about my face!" She shouted.
"No one calls my brother like that!" Jenny shouted and for a sec, I became really very happy that I got near to give her a hug but then, she continued.
"Only I can! Now get away you as*hole... Don't disturb us!"
"Fine, enjoy your day with these b*tches Jenny", I said and got out of my house. And sat down near the entrance.
"The car has arrived!" My dad said as he came out of the house carrying two large luggage. I then helped him carry those outside our house. By that time, the car arrived at our doorstep and then the driver arranged everything inside the car.
After everything was set, the driver started the car and... We were on our move to the airport from where we will fly to Texas.
All of my sister's friends were crying and waving goodbye to her while I was looking at my house which is no longer gonna be mine...
After traveling some distance, Jenny hugged mom and brushed her face on her shoulders. Then mom patted her and gave a kiss on her forehead. For the first time, I didn't feel irritated to see my sister crying but... Felt sorry for her.
We reached the airport at eight-fifty a.m and the flight was about to take off! We rushed in, and when we were done with the formalities, we got inside the plane at nine-two. Yeah, the flight was late because of us.
Everyone on the plane gave us an annoying look. We apologized to everyone and started searching for our seats.
At last, we settled down and the flight took off at nine-five. My seat was far behind from mom, dad, and Jenny's seats. And yeah... I was sitting all alone with some random guy who was..... digging his nose... UGH!!!!! DISGUSTING!
"Excuse me sir, would you like to have something?" An air hostess asked me, spreading a gentle smile on her face. "No thanks, I'm good", I said and plugged my earphones, took out my iPod and played music.
I was in the same 'I don't care' state until we reached Texas. It was a journey of about three hours, twenty minutes and... I couldn't believe that I had spent all this time listening to music!
We got down from the airplane and went to collect our luggage. Finally, our journey from California to Texas was over. "Come this way", my dad said and led us towards a guy who was standing with the board saying "The Fredericksons"
"Hello Mr. Frederickson welcome to Texas! I'll be driving you to your new house today!" The man with that board said, spreading a huge and energetic grin on his face. "Oh well, and you are....?", my dad asked with a smile.
"Oops! Forgot to mention! I'm John Philip, you can call me John!" He said and extended his hand towards my dad for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. John," my dad said and shook hands with him.
After that, they carried the luggage and dumped everything inside the hood of the car. Then Mr. John started driving the car and we were gazing outside the window.
Texas was nothing like California, it was quite different. I felt that the air was different here, a bit polluted. Of course, California is polluted but only in those places where factories are more in number.
"Dad? Where are we heading to?", I asked.
"The woodlands, we're heading to the woodlands." Dad answered, looking at me from the rear-view mirror.
"Well, I've heard that the Woodlands is a good place to live-"
"Yes, it is! That's one of the best places to live in the U.S I'd say. Also, The Woodlands is not too much polluted and has the best education centers", John said, grinning at me.
"Good", I said and started gazing out of the window.
"We're here! Welcome to The Woodlands! Just a few more miles and we'll reach our destination", John exclaimed as he drove with enthusiasm.
Well for me, I couldn't complain about The Woodlands, it was a quiet and calm location and of course, I could see many trees there.
"Well... Where is the second cross street?" John mumbled. "Wait, don't tell me that we're lost!", I said.
"No, I wouldn't say that. We're on the right spot but... I don't know if the second cross street is at the fourth or fifth right from here." He said chuckling nervously.
"O...kay then ask someone," I suggested.
"Fine", he said and called a girl who was riding a bicycle near us and asked for the directions. She got down from her bicycle and guided him.
She had fair skin and a blonde hair which was tied into a bun. Her blue eyes shone brightly in the sunshine and her lips were- WAIT! WHAT AM I- AM I A PERVERT!?!?!?!? Suddenly, she turned her head towards me. I had a feeling that she caught me starring at her so I quickly turned my head the other side.
After a sec, I slowly turned my head to check if she was looking at me, and there! I got caught once again! She gave me a death glare for starring at her as if I was seeing a beautiful girl- a human being for the first time but then, she suddenly winked at me...
It was... It was awkward. Something like that had never happened to me before... This was something new cause, I was blushing.
To be continued...
