Scrap it out!
I sat in the office doing the paperwork with Joey sat beside me.
"So someone's broke into your apartment. Stole your laptop, iPod and panties?" Joey asked as I nodded.
"Yep."
"That's a pervert. Straight out a pervert." He answered teaming invoices up from suppliers to the cheque slips.
He'd then pass them to me and I'd put them on system before filing them away.
"Well I've rang the police and alerted them to it, so now I have to wait. I also had to get my lock fixed." I sighed.
"And you were in the bath? The whole time?"
"Yep." I shuddered to think of what could have happened if I came out in a towel.
I looked across to see that my phone was rattling away on the side. Aaron's name flashed across the screen making me flip it over to stop the guilt from ignoring his call rising.
"Had an argument?" Joey asked.
"I was invited to a BBQ. I declined. Plus they meddled and got me a day off. One I can't afford." I replied punching in figures.
"They?"
"Him and Zak." I answered giving Joey the look. He knew my distaste for the man.
"You know... I feel sorry for Aaron." Joey spoke sifting receipts.
"Why?"
"Having to listen to you both tear each other new ones every time you're both together. You know. He probably finds it really had to keep you both happy. I'd hate to have two friends at each other's throat."
I looked at Joey, he was trying to guilt trip me into feeling bad, well it was working.
"Okay enough, I do feel bad. I'm not a complete bitch but it's not just me." I answered.
"But you could make it easier for him..."
"Joey, do you want your invoices done or not?"
"Yes. Please."
"Then drop it." I answered and pulled a smile.
"That was a scary smile in itself." He teased making me swat him.
It took us a while but after the invoices we did a stock check and finally finished with ordering.
It was 2pm when we finished. I had decided to go in early whilst the cleaner was in and get started on the paperwork so the majority of it was done by the time Joey had arrived.
"Right get on. Off to go play nicely with Zak." Joey joked pushing me out the office.
"Yay. Thank you so much." I answered in monotone.
"Such happiness and joy in that voice." He laughed.
"I'll see you later Joey."
"See you later." I sang leaving work.
I returned home first to change, it was hot out today can considering yesterday it was raining.
I changed into a red Ramones top with matching vans and a pair of denim shorts. It was time to start developing that tan.
I stopped at the store and picked up a crate of beer for Aaron and whoever else was there, also O'doulls for myself and King Douche. I didn't drink often, and seeing as I was driving... I wasn't going to be drinking at all.
As I drove to Aaron's as slowly as humanely possible I thought about what Joey said, about Aaron constantly being in the middle.
Then of course what Zak said..
I really didn't deserve Aaron as a friend, he could quiet easily walk away from me. Zak? Not so much because he worked with him, but to tell me to clear off and never come around again. Well that seemed more of a possibility.
I didn't like the thought but it was one that may happen if I didn't at least hold my tongue when King D- no.... When Zak started.
Stop calling him King douche.. It may help towards your cause Ria.
I was almost at his house when I got a call from him, I pulled over to answer it.
'Yello?'
'Ri? Oh thank god. I need you to come to the storage unit.. You know the one, I took you too it last month?'
'Yeah... I know it. Why what's up?'
'Just... Just hurry.'
'Aaro- ' the line went dead making me frown and look at my phone.
Letting out a sigh I turned the car off from his road and back tracked on myself.
---------------
I pulled up to his storage unit, it was more of a container than a unit, where he placed his car whilst collecting parts for it.
I parked up and got out walking over to see what was going on.
"Dude just... Push it up! Don't let it fall!" Aaron cried as Zak tossed a box up high.
"Hi?" I spoke making Aaron turn around.
"Oh hey! Thank god you're here. I need your help I can't do it alone."
I nodded and looked at all the boxes placed around. I lifted my brow at the two chairs and O'doulls sat in the floor. They hadn't been working for long.
"What's up?" I asked.
"If I pass you the box from my car can you pass it to Zak and tell him which pile?" He asked.
"Uh. Sure okay."
"Aaron why don't I get them out the car?" Zak asked. It would have made sense but then this is Aaron.
"Cause I'm taking it out in an order." He replied continuing.
I rolled my eyes and stood between them.
"Top right." Aaron said passing me a box.
I then passed it to Zak. Just as the parcel left my hands it went dark and I heard the bolt drop down.
"Aaron?" I walked away from Zak and tried the door.
"AARON?! THIS ISN'T FUNNY OPEN THE DOOR NOW!"
"NO! YOU TWO ARE GONNA LEARN TO GET ALONG! IF YOU'RE IN THERE ALL NIGHT... THEN SO BE IT!" He shouted back.
I laughed "OKAY, NICE JOKE. NOW OPEN THE DOOR!"
"I'LL COME BACK LATER! HAVE A NICE NIGHT!" He laughed.
"AARON!" Zak's voice bellowed over mine and his foot went against the door.
"OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR DUDE! THIS IS NOT COOL!"
"SORRY BRO!"
"AAARON!"
"YOU GOT WATER, FOOD AND LIGHT! NOW FIGHT IT OUT BETWEEN YOU BOTH!" He shouted against the door.
"IM GONNA TAKE YOUR HEAD OFF WHEN I GET OUT!" I screamed kicking the door and pushing my weight against it.
"AAAARRON!" Zak yelled.
"SHUT UP!" I stopped Zak and pushed my head against the door making him do the same. I heard his car start up.
"He's actually going..." I whispered.
"Oh fuck no!" Zak answered kicking the door relentlessly.
I began patting myself down and looked at Zak.
"You gotta phone?" I asked.
"No, I left it in the car. You?"
"It's on my passenger seat." I moaned.
"Just fucking peachy. Now I'm stuck in here with depressing Daisy! AARON LET ME OUT!" He yelled thumping his fist against the door.
Brilliant. A fucking storage container in the middle of the day! I've changed my mind.
I'm burying them both in the woods next week!
