Read the author's note at the end

I was sitting, or probably lazing around, in the living room on the sofa. Abir was at the office for an important meeting that started in the morning. Now, it was almost evening, and I was waiting for him because he told me he'd be home by 5.

Last night, I almost had a panic attack. No, I had one. Abir handled it, calmed me down. No one had ever done that for me before. He assured me that he would be there for me no matter what.
I too want to do something for him .
So I planned a little cosy date for us.

The idea had been bubbling in my mind all day. After everything Abir had done for me, I wanted to do something special for him. Something cozy and intimate, just for us. So, I decided to plan a date night at home, complete with all the little touches that would make it memorable.

First things first, I set up on the balcony. I laid out a soft, fluffy blanket on the floor. Around it, I placed a circle of pillows and cushions, making it look like a snug little nest. Fairy lights were draped across the room, casting a warm, golden glow that made everything feel magical. A few scented candles added a hint of vanilla to the air, creating the perfect atmosphere.

(Author- do tell me how's it ? Took me around 20 minutes to get the perfect picture from AI. That damn thing does not give perfect results in one way. )

In the kitchen, I prepared some of our favorite snacks: a cheese platter, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bowl of buttery popcorn. I also chilled a bottle of sparkling juice, knowing neither of us were big on alcohol. Everything was ready, and the final touch was the Polaroid camera and the video camera and a tripod I had ordered. It arrived just in time, and I couldn't wait to capture our night together.

Just when l thought I couldn't take the wait any longer, I heard the sound of keys jingling in the lock. My heart leaped, and I sat up straight, my eyes glued to the door.

Abir walked in, looking tired but relieved to be home. His eyes scanned the room until they landed on me, and his face broke into a warm smile.

"Hey, sweetheart," he said, dropping his bag by the door and making his way over to me. "Sorry I'm late. The meeting ran longer than expected."

I couldn't help but smile back at him, the tension in my chest easing a bit. "It's okay. I'm just glad you're home

As we went to the hallway of his room which gave a peaky view to his balcony . His eyes widened in surprise as he looked at all the arrangements .
"Wow, Mishti... what's all this?"

I smiled, feeling a flutter of excitement. "I wanted to do something special for us. Come on, go fresh up first and mister I've already placed your clothes okay so wear them and then we can have our own little date night."

He looked around, taking in the setup, and then his gaze softened as it landed on me. "You did all this for me?"

"For us," I corrected, taking his hand and leading him to our makeshift nest. "We both need this."
" Now go get ready my prince charming"

He laughed at me and went inside .
God his laugh is contagious !!!

I too went inside to get ready . Hehe it's our date and it should be perfect Naa.

I got ready into a black and white check midi dress and twirled myself .
Gosh I look beautiful .
I simply applied lipgloss and opened my hair and went outside.

Mishti's outfit

I came outside only to see a GOD FREAKING PRINCE COMING TOWARDS ME . HAAYEEEE !
He looks hot ? Naah he looks like a hot meal I want to eat.

Abir's outfit-

" Oye " I called him
His eyes were fixed on his shirt probably trying to wipe away the crease and then he looked at me .
" Hnji mishti "

" You look ..... "
" I look?.." he said while smirking as he held me closer by his hands on my waist .

" You look like a man every women dreams of"

" But mishti i toh only dream about you"

I blushed at his choice of words.
" Haa toh mere baare me hi dream kro basss "

" Okay as you say my dream girl "

I chuckled and he too laughed at me .

As we settled onto the blankets, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The fairy lights twinkled softly, casting a warm glow over our little setup. Abir looked around, clearly impressed.

"Mishti, this is incredible. You've really outdone yourself," he said, his eyes reflecting the soft light.

I blushed, feeling a wave of satisfaction. "I just wanted to do something special for you. For us."

Abir leaned in, his lips brushing my cheek. "Well, you've succeeded. This is perfect."

I giggled, nudging him playfully. "Can't have you getting bored, can I?"

"Bored? With you? Never," he replied, his eyes sparkling. "In fact, I think you're the one who keeps things interesting and smokey around here."

Feeling a bit shy under his gaze, I suggested, "How about we take some pictures? I want to remember tonight."

He grinned and reached for the Polaroid camera. "Alright, but you better be ready for some goofy faces."

We took turns snapping photos, capturing our laughter and playful moments. In one picture, he made a ridiculous face while I tried to keep a straight face, but ended up bursting into giggles. In another, I caught him mid-bite with a strawberry, his eyes wide in mock surprise.

"Okay, okay, let's take a proper one," I said, trying to catch my breath from laughing. "No funny faces this time."

Abir wrapped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me close. "Alright, no funny faces. Just us."

As the camera clicked, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. This moment would be one we'd cherish forever.

"You know," he said softly, looking at the photo as it developed, "I never thought I'd find someone who makes me feel this happy."

I smiled, resting my head against his shoulder. "Me neither. But I'm glad we found each other."

He turned to look at me, his eyes filled with emotion. "Mishti, I love you."

My heart swelled and my heartbeat rose not wanting to escape this moment and let my heart out , I reached up to cup his cheek. "I love you too, Abir."

For a moment, we just gazed into each other's eyes, the world around us fading away. Then, with a mischievous glint in his eye, Abir said, "So, about this memories book... does it include pictures of me stealing all the popcorn?"

I laughed, swatting his arm playfully. "Only if it includes pictures of me catching you in the act."

"Deal," he said, leaning in to kiss me again. "But fair warning, I might steal more than just popcorn."

"Oh really? And what else might you steal?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

He smirked, his voice dropping to a teasing whisper. "Your heart, your kisses... maybe even your last strawberry."

"Well, you'll have to catch me first," I challenged, grabbing a strawberry and popping it into my mouth before he could react.

He laughed, shaking his head. "You're impossible."

"And you love it," I replied, leaning in to kiss him softly.

As the night went on, we continued to tease and flirt. At one point, Abir gently brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers lingering on my cheek.

"You know, Mishti, you look absolutely stunning tonight."

I blushed, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks. "You don't look so bad yourself, Mr. Rajvansh."

He chuckled, leaning closer. "Is that so? Well, thank you, Ms. Mishti."

I decided to turn the tables. "You know, Abir, when you smile like that, it's hard not to fall for you all over again."

Now it was his turn to blush. "You're something else, you know that?"

"Maybe," I said, feeling bold. "But I think you like it."

"I do," he admitted, his voice low and sincere. "I really do."

We were so close now, our breaths mingling. I could see the longing in his eyes, a reflection of my own desire. Slowly, he leaned in, and our lips met in a tender, lingering kiss.

When we finally pulled away, both of us breathless, he whispered, "I love you, Mishti. More than words can say."

"I love you too, Abir," I replied, my heart full. "Always."

As we held each other under the stars, the soft glow of the fairy lights illuminating her face, I couldn't help but marvel at how perfect this moment was. Mishti looked up at me, her eyes filled with warmth and love, and I knew I wanted to make this night even more special.

"Mishti," I said softly, tracing my fingers along her jawline, "do you know how much you mean to me?"

She smiled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "I think I have an idea, but you can tell me anyway."

I chuckled, pulling her closer. "You've brought so much light into my life. Your laughter, your smile , your strength... everything about you makes me a better person. I can't imagine my life without you."

Her eyes glistened with emotion as she whispered, "Abir, don't make me cry now and you too make me feel so loved and cherished. I never thought I could be this happy."

I leaned in, our foreheads touching, as I whispered back, "You deserve all the happiness in the world, Mishti. And I promise to spend my life making sure you always feel this love."

We shared another tender kiss, and as we pulled away, I noticed the Polaroid camera lying nearby. An idea sparked in my mind, and I reached for it, holding it up with a playful grin.

"Let's make some more memories tonight," I suggested. "Something we can look back on and smile."

Mishti's eyes lit up, and she nodded eagerly. "Yes, let's do it."

We took turns snapping photos of each other, capturing our silly faces and candid moments. At one point, Mishti caught me off guard with a tickle, and the camera captured my surprised expression, making us both burst into laughter.

"Gotcha," she teased, holding up the photo triumphantly.

I laughed, shaking my head. "You're sneaky, but I love it."

As we continued to take pictures, I noticed Mishti getting more playful. She'd strike cute poses, then quickly switch to a more serious, romantic look, keeping me on my toes. I couldn't stop smiling, completely enchanted by her.

"Alright, one last picture," I announced, setting the camera on a nearby surface with the timer on. "But this one needs to be special."

Mishti raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you have in mind?"

I pulled her into my arms, positioning us in front of the camera. "Just this," I said, leaning in for a kiss.

As our lips met, the camera clicked, capturing the perfect moment. When we pulled away, we both turned to look at the developing photo, and I couldn't help but smile at how perfect it was.

"This one's definitely going in the memory book," I said, showing her the picture.

She nodded, her eyes sparkling. "It's perfect."

We spent the rest of the evening cuddled up under the stars, sharing stories and dreams for the future. I loved watching the way Mishti's face lit up when she talked about her passions and aspirations. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and I found myself getting excited about our future together.

At one point, she looked up at me, a shy smile on her lips. "Abir, can I ask you something?"

"Anything," I replied, stroking her hair gently.

She took a deep breath, her eyes searching for mine. "What do you see when you think about our future?"

I smiled, my heart swelling with love. "I see us building a beautiful life together. I see a home filled with love. I see us supporting each other through every challenge and celebrating every victory. I see a lifetime of moments just like this, where we're completely content in each other's arms. I see you running behind our kids , I see you and me celebrating our 25th anniversary , I see you running our home "

Tears welled up in her eyes, and she reached up to cup my face. "That sounds like life a house full of love , Abir. I want all of that with you. Promise me abir you will never leave me ."

" I promise aapko chod ke jaunga kaha mere jaan "

I said and kissed her deeply, pouring all my love and devotion into that one kiss. When we finally pulled away, I whispered against her lips, "I love you, Mishti. Always and forever."

"And I love you, Abir," she replied, her voice filled with emotion. "Always and forever."

We lay back on the blankets, holding each other close as we watched the stars. In that moment, I knew that no matter what the future held, we'd face it together, hand in hand, heart to heart. And that was all I needed.
