Karma Akabane..?
"Damn.." Rio couldn't help muffling a laugh at the sight of her suddenly unsettled best friend. Manami's eyes widened tenfold at your blunt statement. You hadn't taken your eyes off of the red-haired student as he, himself froze as well, his eyes becoming a bit wider before his mouth turned into a full-fledged grin, you grew surprised at that as your face heated up, "What?"
"You spoke out loud, silly girl." Kirara smiled lowly at your behaviour, loving the fact that you hadn't changed despite the hell you she assumed you went through, the bruises and cuts that presented themselves on your body as evidence in a really negative way.
"I did not!" In defence, you had yelled and pouted, crossing your arms when your classmates faces seemed to say that Kirara was actually telling the truth, "ANYWAY, aren't you from the main building?"
Manami felt uneasy, her emotions scattered as your bold statement replayed in her mind, 'Damn..' It wasn't that much to your classmates since they already figured that you would grow to be at least a little interested in him; especially after seeing him in Kyoto protecting Kanzaki and Kayano but she disliked how she was so shy and she couldn't do something that came naturally to you. It felt as she entered a competition that she was already losing.
Hinata wouldn't stop observing her friends actions and her facial expressions. Kanzaki remembered her own words that she said in Kyoto about you being perfect for Karma because he's a psycho a bit like yourself and she grew extremely interested to watch your interaction.
The boy with everyones attention nodded, an innocent looking smile on his face though you already knew he was something else. He was strong and you had already seen that he was dangerous in Kyoto when he beat up those high schoolers, "I was until I got suspended and sent here- say, I've heard a lot about you.." His voice decreased in volume to vibrate through the air, touching your skin when goosebumps grew. He didn't notice the affect he had but his smile grew a little wider when he noticed the stunned face you pulled when he leaned closer to you from his chair.
"Why.. Why'd you get suspended?" Terasaka was stunned to say the least regarding your behaviour and watched the way your back went stiff. He heard your voice, almost cautious of every word that was carefully chosen to leave your mouth. "I put some guys in there places when they were surrounding a troublesome girl at school during lunch."
No one was surprised when a smile pinched at your lips at his words, you looked around after maintaining such direct eye contact to see the deadpanned look on Maehara's face as he watched as well, "He means you." Widening your eyes, you looked back to him with a scowl, "Me? No way- how.."
"She actually seems normal now.."
"Karma was on a two week suspension and that was about two months ago." Koro answered your question when you ignored Kouki though Sugino; who stood beside him, couldn't help but agreeing, "Woah that's my bag!"
Karma sighed, staring after you as he watched you jump from your seat, your hair flowing down your back when you ran past Isogai and Hinata to get to the podium where your teacher was located, "Ahh.. I found this in Kyoto but you were nowhere to be found."
"Outside that gross warehouse building, right?" He nodded and Nagisa stared with his mouth slightly ajar, Karma standing with his brows furrowed, "So teach was right, did you see us?"
Kanzaki and Kayano looked at each other momentarily and to you when they both caught you staring at them, shocked to see a frown on your face, "Uh- sorry I couldn't help you guys.. I- I was in pain.. and stuff.."
They shook their heads, Kanzaki smiled gratefully while Kayano's eyes glowed, "You were really there? That actually makes me feel a lot better now that I know." Surprised, the rest of the class remained quiet in the shadows as you responded loudly, "I wanted to get you out and smash those guys but then Nagisa came in all cool with that book," You looked towards the blue-haired boy, a crooked smirk directed at him, "That thing was huge I could've used that to take 'em out!"
Kataoka kept in a smile and stepped forward to gain your attention, "There should actually be one under the podium. That was for you."
You had gone through the duffle bag, opening it to throw a mobile and your wallet towards the back as Karma instinctively caught it and held it in question, "Just put it on her desk.." Terasaka had his hand raised a little but Karma just quietly did as he said. He looked back up to hear metal hitting against wood when they watched you grab the weapons to inspect them, placing them on the Hinata's desk beside the emptied the bag.
And once it was empty, the bag was then thrown while Isogai happened to catch it as your throw wasn't the greatest, he passed it on to Rio as she put it on the floor beside your chair and smirked at the sight of you running around the teachers podium to grab a huge book that made you grimace, "Too heavy! Someone grab it for me!"
Kimura; who had been closest, stepped forward and placed it on Maehara's desk when you searched the pages, finding a red section within the first quarter of it, reading its contents with a laugh, "I can't believe this. Koro-sensei actually made this for me?"
You had looked up at him, he was a good two meters away from you though he melted at the sight of your smile, it was kind and really pleasant to look at. He neared you a little when he saw the glow in your eyes as you resembled a good-hearted student before the handgun beside your hand was picked up within an instant, aiming right for his head when he yelped as the gun was shot before the class even realised what was happening.
Kimura screamed and backed away but Rio looked at Terasaka oddly and even though Karma caught the action, he couldn't bring his eyes away from your stance and the concentration in your eyes. You were so friendly and approachable but then it was as if a flip had been switched and your face had gone hard and indifferent just like a professional. He was astounded and although he was beyond amazed at your talent, he was smiling with a fascinated expression, "(Y/N).. that was slow.."
Karma's face twisted into one of immense confusion when Manami nodded along with them, "B-but that's to be expected I mean, you're still hurt, right?" The girl in glasses spoke up hesitantly and you had sighed, a furrow on your brows, "I know.. This sucks so bad~!" Whining, Muramatsu chuckled when you dragged your words like a child.
"Slow? You mean that was slow for her?" Kirara smiled lazily and turned her head at an awkward angle to glance back at Karma, admiring the dumbfounded look painted across his face, his eyes shining from either the sun rays or from something entirely different, "That's right. We've said it before, she's a beast."
"Like how she managed to hit Koro when we went on that train!" Maehara exclaimed, a contagious grin on his face when Kurahashi chuckled cutely to herself, "That was amazing, we weren't even sure that the sniper would get him and Koro just caught the first bullet with his freakin' Yatsuhashi"
Koro had regained his composure and neared you when the gun was hanging from a single finger looped around the trigger. He couldn't deny that he was actually extremely proud of what had occurred on that day because he hadn't thought of the fact that there could be two snipers but he revelled in the truth when he found out it was actually you, "I was very impressed with your skill (Y/N)-san! It also gave me quite the shock-"
"Yeah I saw that when you were screaming like a little girl!" Snickering, Isogai couldn't help mirroring when Maehara busted out laughing. The sound travelled though the class before a quick intake of air made you stop, grimacing at the stinging feeling that aroused on your lip from stretching your smile so wide. The cut present on your face burned as you raised a finger to tend to it gently before a warm liquid was felt when you brought your finger down to see blood, "Are you okay (Y/N)-san? Should I get some disinfectant?"
Kataoka glanced down at you with a concerned expression when Kurahashi walked forward to pass over a tissue, "Ah no it's alright - I don't need that stuff for pathetic injuries like this."
She noticed you walking towards the door and spoke with a grimace, "Clean that yellow stuff off of your face too, it's gross." Rio pointed a look to Koro and he gasped aloud,
"H-Hey!"
Outside the class, you had sauntered by the lockers to look down and admire the one with the huge dent within the small door. It was pushed in due to the fact that the principal had managed to rile you up intentionally. That bastard made you punch in your locker. You walked past it and went into the bathroom, looking in the mirror and saw the corner of your lips bleeding with tints of yellow drying around the outside of your face though your cheeks were a bright pink. Natural and pleasant to look at.
Washing your face, you grabbed another tissue to wet it and dab it on your skin, surrounding the cuts that were slightly scabbing over horrendously. They looked ugly, *an unfamiliar reflection staring back at me. Did it always look this way? Will it always look this way or will it heal like it always has before? Only time will tell, but you're sick of waiting.*
The door swung open with your arm and you left the small building to exit onto the grass where Nagisa caught your eyes from where he sat indoors at his desk, you smiled and lit up when he smiled back. He noticed the way you were walking but he didn't get out of his seat as Koro had told them to let you be for a little while.
You passed some bushes and smaller trees to emerge to the other side of class 3-E where you saw a cliff. A tree was rooted to the ground right on the edge and the tree was leaned on a one hundred and eighty degree angle where you balanced yourself upon it. The leaf-littered ground beyond the cliff edge was a lot farther down than what you had imagined it was from your previous experience here.
"I know you're there."
Karma felt a smile grow upon his face; although he was surprised, he wasn't that skeptical when you knew someone was behind you, "How'd you know there was someone there at all?"
Your eyes never strayed from the scenery before you as the sun was warming your face in peace. You could laugh at the fact that you had come back here in the same spot you stood a month and a half ago. It was a really stupid thing to do but the thought of having your classmates winning that money reward because you sacrificed yourself seemed like the only proper way to pay them back for the things they made you feel.
Emotions and experiences that only they could give to you without even realising how much it all meant. Acceptance, happiness, joy and the best kind of pain where you had to hold your stomach to tend to the aching of your abs as you laughed nonstop with tears building in your eyes, "I could practically feel your stare digging into my as- oops.. I meant the back of my head." His cheeks turned the tiniest bit rosy though he just walked closer, his hands stuffed in his pockets when he watched the wind blowing your skirt that flowed around your thighs, ".. Didn't even try to make them sound the same."
He watched as you swung around on one foot playfully, giggling lightly when you saw the way his eyes widened for a split second at your careless actions. Hopping off of the tree trunk, his eyes followed your movements as you walked past and instead of heading back to the class, he smirked as you went onwards to the path that lead to the main building of Kunugigaoka.
"(Y/N) ditching class the first day she comes back, huh~?"
