Third person pov

Hayoon wanted to cheer her mother up and so she suggested the idea of making cupcakes.

Taehyung could never do anything to wipe her smile off her face so he agreed to do whatever would make her smile.

Even though he wasn't in the mood for cupcakes-he made some for Hayoon's happiness. He giggled slightly when the girl twirled around while singing some song.

She had told him to go back home but he couldn't do that.

Jungho had sent him here, so he couldn't go away unless he was ordered to do so.

He didn't want to leave anyway. Not because he wanted to stay close to Jungkook but because he needed Hayoon close to himself.

If he left, he wouldn't be able to meet her. He didn't have any right over her too so he couldn't even request Jungkook to bring her to him.

So he will stay. For Hayoon.

He brought the cupcakes out of the microwave and placed in on the table.

He rubbed his swollen, red eyes and thought about making Hayoon happier by sticking candles on the cupcake and making her blow the flame off after burning it.

He had loved doing that in his childhood, would always squeal when his mom brought a cake to his room on his birthday with beautiful burning candles on it.

He smiled as he thought about the memory, missing his mother more than ever.

He made his way to his room, Hayoon right behind him, following him everywhere like always.

He got out a few candles and matches from the cabinet before smiling down at the confused girl.

"What is that, mommy?"

Taehyung crouched down and pecked the crown of her head

"These are candles, my pup. I'll burn them and you can blow the flame off, alright?"

Taehyung missed the way the girl tilted her head, confused like she hadn't ever seen candles before.

He held her hand and walked back downstairs, smile not leaving his face as he sees her skip while making tiny sounds.

He made her sit down on a chair, before putting the candle on the cupcake. He stroke a match on the box and used it to light the candle, all the while staring deep into Hayoon's face.

The child's face fell. Her cheerful actions stopped.

Taehyung saw as the emotion in her face changed from happy to scared. Her eyebrows furrowing and eyes widening slightly. She didn't break her scared eyes off the orange flame which emitted from the candle.

"Hayoon?" Taehyung calls her, concerned.

He frowned when he heard Hayoon gasped, rather in fear than happiness. He looked at her horrified face as she stared at the candle. Tears welled in her eyes and now Taehyung was scared out of his mind.

He held her shoulder to earn her attention but she didn't look at him, even when he shook her.

"Hayoon?!" he yelled, his face twisted in worry and concern. Hayoon wasn't breathing properly now. Tears rolled down her rosy cheeks, body shaking.

She looked so scared, so terrified, Taehyung had never seen her like this before.

He had always seen her smile and laugh but now she was crying and shaking in fear.

"Baby, look at me! What's wrong?!" Taehyung asked, picking her into his arms. She started thrashing around in his hold, making him gasp.

"No! no! no! p-please!" she screamed, now sobbing while clutching his shirt.

"Hayoon?!" he held onto her for dear life, swaying from right to left to calm her but to no avail.

She squirmed around, still not breathing properly.

"Mommy?!" she screamed suddenly while extending her arms towards the candle like trying to stop something.

She wasn't calling him when she yelled 'mom'.

Taehyung didn't understand why she did that but understood that she is behaving like this because of the fire.

He quickly put the flame off, heart beating way too fast.

He hoped that she will calm down.

"Yoonie?!" He shrieked when she fell unconscious in his arms. He panicked as he held her close to his chest.

He lay her down on the couch and sprinkled water on her face but she didn't wake up.

He was crying now as he desperately tried to do everything to get her back to a conscious state but nothing worked.

He picked up the landline phone and dialed Jungkook's number which he remembered very well. Jungkook picked up within a few dials

"Hel--"

"Young m-master."

"Taehyung? what's wrong?" He asked, sounding anxious.

"H-Hayoon... I-I don't know what happened. S-she started screaming after seeing the candle, a-and she fainted!" Taehyung sobs while holding her body and patting her face.

Jungkook gasped, taking in the information Taehyung had just given him.

"A candle?!" Jungkook gasped. "Fuck, I'll be home soon, just wait," Jungkook says and cuts the call. He gritted his teeth, fear rising in him.

He had completely forgotten to tell the omega that Hayoon had pyrophobia.

"Yoongi hyung?" He called, as soon as he heard the ringing sound from the phone stop. His voice was shaking in fear.

"Kook, I swear to god if I get to know that you hurt that omega again--"

"H-hyung, Hayoon, s-she fainted again."

There was a small silence in the other end before he heard shuffling sounds. Jungkook anxiously waited for Yoongi to say something.

"Because of--"

"Yes. Please, hyung, I want you to go home and check on her. It will take me time because I'm still in the other pack," Jungkook said, desperately.

His voice wavered as he remembered the time when this first happened.

He had gone out of his mind, he had felt like his heart would stop beating when he saw her fall limp on the floor after screaming out for her mom.

He knew the exact reason she had developed the phobia. He couldn't do anything about it rather than making sure that it doesn't happen again.

But it did. It was because of his carelessness.

He loved Hayoon more than anything in the world. He couldn't let anything happen to her.

He couldn't even call for a doctor because no one in the pack knew about his daughter, and he wanted it to be that way.

He didn't want Jungho to know about Hayoon because if he does get to know that he has an omega daughter, he would make sure to use her for threatening him and make him do what he wants.

Sana, who was also a doctor, wasn't anywhere nearby too.

He knew he could trust Yoongi but he also had to be there, with his daughter. He wanted to hold her and calm her down.

He sobbed painfully, clutching on his shirt. Memories of his daughter crying and screaming in fear and longing came to his mind.

It was his fault this time. He had been so fucking dumb for not telling Taehyung that his daughter is scared of seeing or being near fire. He was so horrible.

It made his inners churn in extreme pain.

He wondered why the situation became so bad. Even when this happened for the first time, when Hayoon's condition was much worse than now, he had managed to understand what was going on and had saved the situation before it got worse.

He had been told that his daughter's fear will become lesser and lesser as years pass and it was evidently better.

When she had been with Sana, the same thing had happened when the woman had carelessly burnt a match before the girl. Jungkook had yelled at her and thrown a huge temper tantrum even though Hayoon's state wasn't that bad and she had only cried.

Her situation was getting better.

For her to faint because of it can only happen if she was exposed to the fear for way too long.

How much more pain should Hayoon go through?

Jungkook was out of his mind. He tried to keep his calm but was shaking in fear and pain. It was not true. Taehyung couldn't ever do such a thing and he knew it.

He was sure that he hadn't forced himself on Taehyung and had apologized genuinely because he was hurt after his drugged and drunk, but even if he had been much worse to the omega, he would do nothing to Hayoon at all.

Taehyung had nothing to do with all this. It was his own fault. All his own fault, and he was so pathetic to let this happen,. Could he not fucking take of those people that love and need him?

What would have Hayoon gone through? How scared would've Taehyung been when all this happened to their baby?

He hated himself. Taehyung had seen enough because of him already.

It was time to put a full stop to this torture he was giving to the omega.

He needed a reason to convince his desperate, longing self that it was better to just push himself away from Taehyung because he had caused him enough pain already.

He got the reason.

 Taehyung's wellbeing.

----------

Taehyung was still sitting by Hayoon's bed, looking at her sleeping form with dejected eyes.

His cheeks slightly shone because of the tears which streamed down his cheeks.

She was alright. She was completely fine. But he still felt so anxious.

The doctor, Yoongi, had stayed here for really long time, trying to console him and tell him that she is alright.

He looked at him with utter softness and spoke really sweet words to comfort him, but he was just too shaken from what happened to be calmed down so easily.

He hadn't even known that his baby had pyrophobia. He feels so guilty for letting this happen, but it wasn't even his fault.

It was Jungkook's fault because he had forgotten to tell him.

Jungkook wasn't home yet and he understood that the elder was really far away in some other pack because it had been two hours since he had called him.

He wiped his tears and wrapped his arms around Hayoon and hugged her, bringing her to his chest.

Her labored breathing and peaceful face was the only thing which was holding him back from going insane.

He would never forget the terror that he felt when Hayoon fell unconscious in his arms.

He would rather choose to stop breathing than having to feel like that again. He couldn't see his Hayoon in that date again.

He felt so heavy. What if something happened to her? Yoongi had told him that if it would get serious then the situation would become very bad like it had last time when she had to be taken to hospital and hadn't gotten up for a whole week.

He sniffled and felt her nuzzle into his chest, almost like she's trying to comfort her mom even in sleep.

"I'm sorry, baby... Mommy's so sorry," he whimpered and held her even more tightly.

I could've stopped this from happening. He thought. Just if I had stopped being so childish, this wouldn't have happened. Just if I had blown the flame off earlier, she wouldn't have passed out in fear.

When he heard the main door open, his heart sank. He didn't know how Jungkook will react to whatever happened.

Will the elder yell at him? Or would he assure him that whatever happened wasn't his fault?

Whatever it was, he had to face Jungkook.

He softly peeled Hayoon's body off of him and placed her back on the bed softly, covering her with the blanket.

He snapped his head towards the door when it barged open and a frantic-looking Jungkook entered the room.

His eyebrows were furrowed, eyes slightly swollen from crying. Taehyung was shocked as he had never seen him in such a state before.

Jungkook immediately walked up to Hayoon and took her body into his arms, embracing her like his life depended on it.

He scented his daughter and sighed, gulping because his throat suddenly got dry.

Taehyung just watched the scene with sad eyes.

"My baby... my baby..." Jungkook whispered, holding her impossibly close and pecking the crown of her head, repeatedly.

He looked terrified. His hands were shaking like Taehyung's were when she had passed out.

It was the worst nightmare of a parent to see their children going into a such a bad state without them being able to do anything.

Seeing Hayoon in this state made Taehyung feel so bad even though he's known her only for a few months.

Jungkook was there with her since birth... He couldn't imagine the pain the trueblood must be feeling.

Hayoon was still deep asleep. She only snuggled into his chest, feeling secured in his arms.

Taehyung stayed quiet for a while before whispering out, "T-the doctor said she's completely fine."

Jungkook closed his eyes on hearing Taehyung's voice.

He looked up at him and Taehyung was taken aback when he saw the distinct pain and slight anger those eyes held. It was fake. It was an act which Taehyung couldn't see.

The trueblood placed the girl back on the bed, very softly, before getting up and walking towards the omega.

Taehyung gasped slightly when Jungkook held his hands and tugged him along outside the room. He didn't stop until they were downstairs.

"Why did you do this?" Jungkook whispered through gritted teeth, desperate fear evident in them. He looked so broken and pained that Taehyung was failing to even understand who he is.

Jungkook had got a reason to push him away and make Taehyung hate him. His heart screamed at him to not do it, to not push him away, but at the moment, all he wanted was for Taehyung to go away from a monster like him.

Taehyung looked at him confused, his bloodshot eyes still filled with tears.

"Just because I hurt you, you decided to take your revenge by hurting my child? I-I-- I told you she meant the whole world to me. I-is this why you did this? You could've hit me, yelled at me, but to my daughter..." He sniffled and Taehyung's eyes became wide in disbelief.

How could he even think I'll stoop this low? Taehyung thinks, skin crawling.

You could never do such a thing. Hate me, Taehyung! I deserve only your hate for what I have done; for I can only seek forgiveness when you hate me. I want your hate. Jungkook thinks.

That is all I deserve. That's all I should get for killing my mom and your happiness. Hate me, hit me, yell at me, do anything you want.

But go away from me.

Go away from me before I can hold you and beg you to stay with me forever. No one stayed; you should leave too. I'm meant to die every moment I live; you can't suffer because of me.

I'll come behind you to apologize when my madness goes away, when it will dawns on me that I lost a gem, but this time you shouldn't forgive me like you always did.

I will regret it. I love giving myself pain, and I have a reason to do it now. Even if I cry later for doing such things, I know that you will be happy to see my cry and regret.

I deserve to feel the hate I made you feel for yourself.

"W-what are yo--" Taehyung's desperate voice was cut off.

Jungkook growled threateningly. Taehyung felt sparks course through him. He let out a strangled sob and fell to his knees, submitting to him even though Jungkook didn't use any of his pheromones to force him into submission.

"Why would you do such a thing?" Jungkook asks, falling on his knees before him, a broken and angry look on his face as he forced to keep his hands to himself, not daring to touch the boy and hurt him.

Hate me, Taehyung.

When Jungkook let out a cry, Taehyung's inners churned in vexation.

"Tell me!" He yelled, closing his and crying, sobbing, begging Taehyung to answer him. His lower lip wobbled slightly, his inners tearing apart. Taehyung stared wide eyed as Jungkook suddenly stopped crying, hands falling limp beside him.

Jungkook looked at him, and Taehyung felt a hundred emotions run through his veins just by looking at his face. It looked dead, like the real self of Jungkook with every filter or toughness removed.

That was real face. He was dead. He had died long ago.

The one before him was a corpse with heartbeat and ability to move.  And this corpse moved towards him, and he instantly flinched.

Jungkook rose his pale and shaking hand up, cupping his left cheek before breathing out softly. He looked deep into his eyes, his own distant, meaning lost eyes finding tears well in them again.

His tears slid down his delicate cheeks, the whole of him suddenly opening up before Taehyung as he revealed what he actually was to Taehyung.

What was he then? He was a man with a beating heart but owning no feelings or happiness. He was someone with a mind which had no such memory to think back to whith a smile.

Even when his tears cascaded down and landed on Taehyung's chin, all he could think of was the way he had held a lifeless body and cried his heart out to the remnants of what was left behind by the ferocious fire.

His mom gone...

His lover dead...

He lost everything. He killed all of them himself. His existence was the fault and none could ever know what it was.

He parted his colorless, chapped lips and placed the most delicate peck on Taehyung's temple as the omega's temple, and Taehyung couldn't push away because he felt every power leave him.

The actions held meaning he could never understand.

For as much as he suffered, as much as everyone knew what he went through and pitied him, no one knew Jungkook even when he was right there, beside him for so long.

He was right there.

He was crying below his blankets with soundless sobs which never reached his ears.

Taehyung saw him as a proud alpha who forgot his relations he was born to, to be rebellious. He didn't know what Jungkook was. He didn't try to know him but only tried to get into the heart of Jungkook which he himself didn't own, a dead heart which he didn't have any control over.

Even now, Taehyung didn't understand the pain in these tears which fell on his cheeks like the delicate drops of a drizzle which was trying to soften the world with its power.

He didn't understand.

No one did.

"You did nothing, love," Jungkook said, voice so fucking dead and distant even though it was soft and shaky. Like... like Jungkook felt feelings which he couldn't feel. It didn't make sense. Jungkook didn't make sense.

"You did absolutely nothing wrong for being born as the most perfect angel. You deserve everything." Jungkook pushed away from him after whispering these words against his wet cheeks.

He sat down on the floor, his scary and distant eyes staring into the floor for a while. He looked up suddenly, scanning around the room. He got up on his wobbly legs and walked a few steps before crashing onto the floor on his knees again.

He placed his hands flat on the floor and looked at it with big eyes. He looked back at Taehyung with his big eyes, scaring the omega even more.

"Right here," he whispered, running his shaking hands on the floor. "It happened right here. It was here. It burnt completely. Nothing was left. Nothing. I tried. I tried, Nothing was left. They pulled me away. They took me away and removed every trace of it! Hayoon cried. She cried so bad! I held h-her, but she still continued to cry."

Taehyung flinched with every yell of his and scooted further away from the terrifying man.

He was so scared of him.

If only he tried to open his eyes and see that Jungkook was shaking and at the brink of losing himself all again as he cried and sobbed, he would understand that the alpha wasn't trying to hurt him.

He was killing himself right before his eyes but Taehyung saw his own fear and pain.

It wasn't his fault. After all that he went through, his mind saw a danger in almost everything. Every time Jungkook showed him his real self, he rejected it and hated it with all his heart but still wished to be accepted with Jungkook's entire heart.

When the wolf yelled at him to go away from him and begged him to stay away...

he wasn't telling him so because he didn't like him or didn't want to see his face but because he was scared of himself. He saw himself as what he believed he is: a monster.

A murderer who took lives. Someone so innocent yet having the blood of every loved one in his hands.

Jungkook hissed at his hands and looked at them with rage. He rubbed them harshly and tried to take away something nonexistent.

"It wouldn't go!" he yelled, rubbing his hands even harsher. His hands grew red, close to bleeding with the way it was being rubbed. "It wouldn't go! L-look, these marks won't go away!"

Taehyung sobs as he looks at his hands which had nothing it them. Jungkook seemed to try to rub away marks, like strong paint or blood...

But he only saw it as a deliberate attempt of the alpha to make him scared. He covers his eyes as Jungkook bruises himself. Yet again, he didn't understand what Jungkook was feeling.

Did he still look like a strong, proud alpha who was trying to push away his own mate because of a reckless love for someone else?

Selfish...

Jungkook's breathing was ragged as he looked at his black hands tainted with ash and blood as he tried to rub them away. He gasped when he heard Taehyung's cries and looked at him with pain.

I hurt him again... he thinks even when he hadn't done fucking anything to actually cause any paint to Taehyung. And he was selfish?

Go, love.

Go away for everything I did.

"I d-didn't do it on purpose," the omega whimpered, tears flooded in his eyes, still thinking that Jungkook for being harsh just by thinking that he hurt Hayoon purposely.

For every wrong action of mine.

Jungkook's hands itched to pick the younger into his embrace when his distressed scent hit his nose. But what was the point of it? He would break him anyway. He would tear everyone's heart apart with his harsh self.

But what had he even done to any of them? He had no control over himself, his heart, brain or anything at all. When people hates his real self, what was the point of being his real self?

Why couldn't he just end every pain by ending himself?

"I miss my mom," Taehyung had said. So it was better for him to leave.

Jungkook walked back to him, kneeling down and folding his hands before him as he looked at Taehyung, begging him.

"Go," he said softly, trying not to hurt the boy by his reality anymore. "Go away from this monster, Tae. Y-you don't belong here. Take away everything with you. Every peace and happiness I sinned by enjoying... take it with you. I didn't deserve anything you brought to me so take it away. A-and... Hayoon... take her away too. I'll be the reason everyone dies. Take her away before that happens."

Not understanding the pure intentions of Jungkook, Taehyung curled into a ball.

"p-please," he begged, "Stop. I don't w-want anything from you. Your daughter--I love her--but I never intended to take her away from you."

His state broke Jungkook even though he had nothing unbroken left in him. He reached his hand out to hold something too far away from him, and realizing that he couldn't ever comfort Taehyung with his bloody murdering hands, he pulled them back to himself.

Taehyung had to leave.

Because Taehyung's happiness lies somewhere else. Somewhere away from a monster.

Taehyung was better gone away from here.

Oberon hadn't taken over for a while and seemed to be more calmer towards Taehyung now, but even if he did take over again, he would pose no threat to Taehyung's health and life.

This decision should've been taken long ago. He should have done this as soon as he found out that Oberon was abusing him.

This was the best thing he could do.

He stomped his way upstairs, tears still flowing down his cheeks.

Taehyung peeked up from behind his knees, confused. He was still sobbing as he stood back on his feet and stared at where Jungkook had gone.

He pressed the back of his hand to his mouth to muffle the noises he was making.

His eyes widened, a confused expression forming on his face when he sees Jungkook bringing his suitcase out of the room.

The trueblood brought the bag downstairs, not stopping until he reached the door of the mansion.

He harshly pulled the door open and put the bag outside his house. After that being done, he went to Taehyung, looking at him with expressionless eyes.

He wanted to hold the younger and not let him go, but he had to do this.

He helped Taehyung to his feet and tugged him to the door in the softest way to not hurt the flower and made the boy go outside his house, heart shattering when the omega let out a sob, his knees giving out as he came in contact with the hard floor harshly.

Jungkook so badly wished to go to him, hold him and wipe away his tears.

But Taehyung was better far from him.

He only caused pain. Taehyung will only cry and scream in pain if he was anywhere near him.

This incident was only a reason he was giving himself and Taehyung for pushing him away. His real intentions were just to push Taehyung away.

About Jungho... Jungkook was sure Jimin will take care of it. He was like his own father, after all. There was no difference between Taehyung staying with him and Taehyung staying with Jungho.

"Forgive me, Taehyung. You're better gone from here, so please don't come to me again," He said, feeling glad that his voice didn't break. He slammed the door shut right after.

Taehyung didn't know how to feel.

He stopped crying and looked at his thighs, gritting his teeth and then getting back to his feet.

He was heart-broken but more than that, he was disgusted and angry at Jungkook.

None of this was his fault. He had done absolutely nothing to be treated to in this way. He had had enough now.

He got up to his feet looking at the house which he had one seen with love and hope just the difference was that now his eyes held rage.

This house, he thought would be the only place he wanted to be but now he was leaving, forever.

His love for the elder was now covered with anger and disgust at him. The love remained but this time, his self-respect mattered more than his stupid love.

He didn't care about Jungho and his warriors finding out about him leaving the place now.

He knew that his baby, Hayoon, would feel dejected when he has gone but she herself had told him to go and meet her mom.

He knew that his smart girl will understand that he had to leave. He wanted to meet his mother, after all.

He thought about nothing else other than going back to his own house and meeting his family.

And he knew it would be better if he forgot about his worthless love and his useless mate.

He turned around, looking at the forest. He kept himself before anybody else--for once wanting to be selfish--as he turned into his wolf form.

The memories of the time he spent here with his mate played in his mind and it only made him even more furious because he all of those times that Jungkook had tormented him came to his mind.

There wasn't even a single happy memory he had with his own mate.

His wolf growled lowly, determined to go back to the place he belongs to, the place he had been the happiest and where he had only laughed and played along with his bestfriend.

That place which was far away from pain.

Please, don't hate me, Taehyung. Everyone left, don't leave me too. I pushed people away, they despised me. I made them cry by showing them my wolf's aggression, you cried too. Oberon hurt them, they were scared of me. You are too.

You... I don't want you to hate me. I hate myself for what I have done. Don't hate me... forgive me.

Forgive me because I don't want to be the way I am. Forgive me because I want to change but nothing lets me. This monster in me... I didn't make it. I didn't want to be like this.

Forgive me, please.
