Third person pov

Five weeks had passed, everyday feeling just like previous ones for Taehyung.

The omega had degraded himself so much that he couldn't think of himself as a human anymore. He thought of himself as dirt and was disgusted of himself.

He always thought that his scent and body was so disgusting and horrible which made him unlovable.

He busied himself in work all day so he doesn't get time to think about anything, so that he doesn't think about killing himself and getting the world rid of his burden, but at night, he had to face all of it.

He was this close to going to the kitchen and bringing a knife to cut himself one night but he stopped himself from doing so.

He wanted to end it all but he stood strong.

He wouldn't kill himself. He just couldn't do that because his mom didn't go through all the problems in her life to raise him just so he can end his life halfway through.

Jimin had spend so much time on him, trying to help him out with his situation; he didn't want his only friend to feel like he had failed as a friend.

He just wanted someone to hug him and make him feel that things will get better, even if it won't. He wanted assurance that he was also someone who could be looked at with adoring eyes and a smile.

Both, Taehyung and Venus were breaking. Completely.

"Y-you're bringing her here?"

Taehyung heard Jungkook's voice which was grim, serious and somewhat anxious.

He frowned as he couldn't understand what was being spoken about. Jungkook was speaking to someone on phone, and he couldn't hear what the other person was saying.

"Yes, you can bring her here for a while, I guess. I'm sure she misses me," his voice was suddenly sad and almost disappointed in himself.

Taehyung peeked from behind the wall to find the elder smiling sadly while looking down at his lap.

"Okay. Today evening," was the last thing he said before he cut the call, leaving a very confused Taehyung and a Jungkook who looked close to crying.

-------------

Taehyung was waiting for the arrival of the person who Jungkook was speaking about. He could clearly sense the elder's mild excitement and anxiousness too.

Jungkook hadn't told him anything about the guest and hadn't given any orders about what he was supposed to act like how he was supposed to behave, in a formal or informal way, and what  he should cook.

Is the person going to live with us? He thinks as while sitting on a chair and eating dinner. Yes, eating dinner which was proper food and not just leftovers.

He was just following yet another order of Jungkook which was to eat all three meals of a day. It was told to him a few days after his ankle had broken been broken.

Jungkook told it to him warningly; he had sounded worried.

It had made Taehyung feel like Jungkook cared for him but he was sure that the ravenette would again do something in the future to break his heart, so it was of no use to think that the older was genuinely worried for his health.

But if anyone who knew Jungkook well was told that he had told someone to eat properly to remain healthy, they wouldn't believe it.

He stared at Jungkook who was pacing around the living room.

Jungkook was really anxious. He was biting down on his lower lip, to hold himself back from growling in nervousness.

Taehyung's scent was the only thing which was keeping him sane. The boy smelled so sweet, he really liked the comforting scent.

It took everything in him to not pull the younger into his embrace and nose on his scent glad to calm himself down.

Both their heartbeats got faster when they heard the doorbell ring. Jungkook got anxious while Taehyung got slightly excited.

They composed themselves quickly, Taehyung getting up from the chair and taking his dirty dishes to the sink and then quickly hiding behind the wall to see who it was.

Jungkook went forward to open the door, hesitating a little.

He gulped as he saw Sana's face appearing from behind the door. She had a smile on her face and held a tiny human wrapped up in warm clothes.

Jungkook's eyes immediately soften when it meets his daughter's eyes. The girl squealed and whined as she extended her arms towards him.

His daughter, the reason he was living and hadn't ended his life long ago. His three-year-old omega daughter who was his secret, the reason he was breathing, the reason his heart was beating.

A child whose existence was known only by a few people: Jimin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Sana, and his dead half-brother, Jisung.

She is his only family. She is the one he loved so damn much but had pushed her away because he wasn't in a state of taking care of her.

He was scared that he would hurt her and at that time, the only thing he could do was send her with someone who he trusted enough to take care of her.

He was scared to loose her. If Jungho knew about his omega daughter...

All he could think of that time was saving her from himself and the demon wolf. He gulped, just staring at her, wondering how bad of a father he was. He had failed as one.

So cruel was his fate that he couldn't spend time and live with his own daughter. He missed all the years she was an infant. Just after she turned one, he had to push her away.

Talking through phone calls, meeting monthly once like she was a far relative of his, it made him feel so pathetic. He couldn't hold himself together, but his daughter had to suffer because his uselessness.

"Hayoon," he whispered, voice low and soft, holding longing.

"Daddy!" The three-year-old extended her arms towards him, leaning forward and letting her body crash on his.

She immediately snuggled onto his neck and wrapped her hands and legs around him, holding onto him for dear life. He closed his eyes and let himself feel peaceful for a moment.

She had missed him so damn much.  She had been away for so many months with only wanting to meet her dad again.

Jungkook felt so happy yet at the same time, very guilty. Sana was smiling at him, a bright smile. He smiled back sadly but a certain male had his already wounded heart breaking more and more.

H-he has a daughter?

Taehyung's body shook violently.

Why? Why did you do this? You love somebody else and even have a baby girl. What about me? What about your mate?

You were supposed to be mine.

But he wasn't ever Taehyung's. He even had a daughter who was a symbol of his love with someone else.

His pathetic worthless self was crying silently again. His omega wolf was howling and whimpering, feeling the pain of rejection.

He saw their tiny family, looking so happy and contended with smiles on Jungkook and his child's face. He didn't belong in their family, he didn't mean anything to them.

"Oh god, Kook, you don't know how much she has troubled me to get her here," Sana says as she shook her head, a fond smile on her lips.

"Thank you, Sana, for keeping her with you for so many months. I'm really grateful."

"Hey! Does she not mean anything to me?! How dare you thank me for such a reason?!" She asks a little offended, huffing and crossing her hands before her chest. Jungkook just gave her a pained smile.

He panicked when he heard cries and sniffles from the baby in his arms. He quickly pushed her body away from his to examine her face.

"Baby, why are you crying?"

"You bad daddy, you lweft me for so many days."

Jungkook felt his heart clench as he examined her pretty face which looked exactly like his own with pretty doe eyes and a tiny button nose which was scrunched as she cried.

He pecked her red cheeks and forehead, hugging her dearly and says,

"I'm sorry, babygirl. Daddy's really sorry."

He grinned through his tears when he felt her nod against his chest, accepting his apology. He was so happy to have her back. He felt elated.

"I would keep her with me for longer but I had to go outside my pack for some business and I couldn't take her along so..."

The beta woman said and landed a peck on the baby's forehead.

Sana didn't belong to Terrene pack, was born in another pack which didn't have a cruel and bad like head alpha like this one.

She bid her goodbye and left along with her suitcase.

Hayoon was still cuddled up in her father's embrace. Jungkook held her dearly and softly, his huge body completely hiding her form.

He turned around and walked to the couch, completely ignoring Taehyung, not looking at his red face which was wet with tears.

Hayoon looked up when she felt the presence of someone else and it landed on the petite male standing not more than a few feet away from them, shaking as he cried.

Jungkook plopped down on the couch and patted her back. She continued to look at Taehyung while laying her head on Jungkook's body. She jutted her lower lip out when the eternal looking male suddenly left the place and went upstairs.

"How was my baby doing in Sana's house?" Jungkook cooes, grabbing her attention. He really had the urge to cry because he was seeing and holding her after so long but he didn't cry.

Hayoon looked at him with furrowed eyebrows and pouting lips. Jungkook chuckles, leaning down and pecking her lips.

"I'll take that as a 'not good'?" Jungkook asks and Hayoon just huffs, folding her arms before her.

"I missed you so much, daddy," she sniffles and Jungkook was quick to bring her into his embrace. He scented her to calm her down.

He patted her back, for god knows how long, a comfortable silence present all the while until he felt her yawn against his shoulder.

"You must be tired, Yoonie. Go to sleep."

She closed her eyes and slept peacefully, snuggled up on his body. Jungkook got up to go to his room, taking her along with him even though she had her own room. He wanted to keep her with him for longer.

---------

Taehyung felt so broken. He wasn't wanted here

He wasn't the mom of his mate's daughter, she didn't belong to him. He didn't mean anything to his mate.

He fell on the floor of his room and sobbed for what felt like hours. The tears which lefts his eye lids didn't take his pain away with them.

The burning feeling in his chest didn't lessen. It hurt more and more, and every second which passed made him want to give on everything.

Too lost in his thoughts, he missed the sound of the door opening and the innocently wide eyes that stared into the room, right at his huddled figure.

He even missed the footsteps coming towards him.

He flinched, yelping when he suddenly felt delicate hands wrap around him. He gasped as he felt the tiny girl hug him, climbing onto his lap, her tiny feet pressed down on his lap.

He was too shocked to even react; his breathing was ragged. Her body was pressed against his, she had her hands wrapped around his shoulder tightly, securely. Her face buried in his neck.

It was the same girl, the one who was his mate's but not his own.

But all this had nothing to do with her innocent self, and Taehyung would never hate her--an innocent baby--for something her dad did.

He held her waist with one hand, shakily breathing out.

Hayoon didn't let him go until he had completely calmed down and had stopped crying. She moved back and grinned up at him, wiping his still wet cheeks with her chubby hands.

"I-I'm sorry... I woke you up," Taehyung said, still holding her securely because the last thing he wanted was her to fall from his lap and get hurt.

She shook her head, leaning forward to to peck his cheek and smiled genuinely before saying,

"It's okie. You look really pwretty, like an angel," she says, shyly, fiddling with her fingers.

Those words made his heart melt. He smiled softly, wondering if he really was pretty like the girl told but quickly removed the thought from his mind.

He wasn't pretty. If he was then his mate would've noticed his beauty.

She smiled again before hesitantly placing a peck on his lips--startling him with her affection--then waddling out of the room. Taehyung went behind her, concerned that she might fall on the way.

He stared wide eyed as the girl turned around, waving him a bye and blowing him a kiss before entering a room.

He was grinning at her behavior. He hasn't smiled like this for so many days now.

He loved the girl already, probably because she was also an omega. She wasn't living the life he lived; he was glad she wasn't living such a miserable life.

She even had a loving father unlike Doyun, his dead father.

Moreover, she had even comforted him. Had made him calm down and stop crying.

And he had to admit, he was in desperate need of that comfort.

She had forced his thoughts away from the rejection his mate gave him and brought all his thoughts upon herself and he knew now that this girl will mean a lot to him as he could feel the connection with her already.
