Jamilah

We ate dinner prepared by my mom,my dad left after eating because he wants to be with Samimah which is the right thing at the moment

I followed him outside before he enters his car

"Will she be fine?"I asked my dad

"I hope so but I'm still confused about Samimah being pregnant,how did it happen?"my dad asked,I wish I could tell him everything I know but I can't do that now,I don't know what Samimah plans to tell my dad

"I don't know but I'm sure it was a mistake,I hope you forgive her"I said and he nodded

"She is my daughter after all and I can't abandon her especially now her mother is gone"

"How are you feeling,I know it's not easy for you"I said sounding very worried

"It's fine,I know this is bound to happen sooner,she has been fighting with cancer for years"my dad said and I was shocked

Cancer!

So that's why she needs chemotherapy

Why haven't this cros my mind for once?

"It must be hard for her"I said and my dad nodded

"I will be on my way and please take care of yourself,I love you"my dad said and I smiled

"I love you too"my dad entered his car and speed off,I waited till I could see his car no more,I heaved and went back inside

No one was in the sitting room,so I lay quietly on the couch thinking about how everything happened fast,knowing story about my existence and lots more

My main problem right now is how to patch things up with Samimah if we go back to abuja because it's going to be only the two of us in the house

My eyes started getting heavy and slowly close by itself with less than a minute sleep engulfs me and everywhere turns pitch black

My eyes open and I squinted to adjust the rays of light penetrating my eyes,I yawned stretching body like a meowing cat

I finally opened my eyes has my body agrees with the terms I'm awake,I slowly sit on the couch,I yawn one last time and stood up,I searched for my family and I met my mom and sister Zuleikha cooking in the kitchen

"Good morning!"I greeted and they tilted now aware of my presence in the kitchen

"Jamilah,how was your night?"my mom asked

"It was fine"I said sitting in a stool"what are you preparing?"I asked

"Jellof rice,go and have your bath so that you can go and give your friends at the hotel something to eat"my sister said and I remembered I came with my friends

"Thank you"I said,I stood up and took my phone and called Chi Chi

"Babe!"she said as soon as she took the phone

"How was your night?"I asked

"It was fine"she replied

"I will be coming with food,tell the boys"

"Ok"the call ended

I went inside and took my bath,I wore a dark blue jeans trouser and a baby pink loose top and joined my family in the kitchen

I met they're almost rounding up,I went out to the balcony and met Hiba taking pictures

"Are you serious?"I asked her shaking my head

"I'm launching my new phone"she deadpanned and I roll my eyes

"We are mourning,so keep the launching for later"I said and she nodded in disagreement

"I finished mourning yesterday it's not like I even know the woman and I only saw her daughter for the first time yesterday"Hiba said frowning and I smiled

"It doesn't matter if you know her or not"

"Ok"she said returning to what she was doing

I shake my head smiling slightly I went back inside and met my mom done with her cooking

"Would you love to eat before going?"my mom asked me

"No,I will eat with them"I said and she nodded

She package the food for me and gave it to me

"Thank you"I said and she smiled,I left the house and took a bike to the hotel

I knocked at Chi Chi's door,she was the only one on her own while the boys are in one room

She opened the door and hugged me happy to see me,I smiled and she welcomed me in

I went inside and drop the food on the floor beside the bed

"I will call the boys"Chi Chi said and I nodded,she went out of the room and came back with all of them

They look like they just had their bath, Fawzan came forward and hug me

"Good morning sweetheart"he said

"Morning"I said and look at Jaffar who looked away

"Hey what's up!"I greeted Fawwaz and he smiled in return,I couldn't greet Jaffar because I feel kinda awkward

I brought the food forward and set it in the table,I bought out spoon and each took their plates and fetch their desired amount

Chi Chi was sitting at my left side while Fawzan was at the right,Jaffar and Fawwaz sat facing the three of us

We ate our food talking about random stuffs but we weren't loud

"We should check on Samimah"Fawwaz said when we were about finishing our dish

"Sure"I said and we rounded up,Chi Chi arrange all the plates back to the bag I put them on,the boys except Jaffar went back to their room to get ready while Chi Chi entered the bathroom

"How was your night?"I broke the awkward silent after a minute

"It was fine,how are you feeling now?"he asked genuinely concerned

"Well"I shrugged"I lived"I snickered nervously

He did something I wasn't expecting him to do,he came closer to me and engulf me in an hug,my head rested in his chest and a feeling of deje vu hits me,I wrapped my hand around his back sniffing in his scent

"Don't worry things will surely be alright"he said and I nodded,the thought of Fawzan catching me in the position made me jolt,I cover it up with a smile

I guess he guessed too and politely stuck his hands in his pocket making him look more handsome,Jaffar was a true definition of black beauty or handsome

Whatever!

The door opened and I thanked heaven I was already out of his embrace,the boys took the lead while me and Chi Chi walk behind them

"Did he talk to you?"Chi Chi asked

"Who?"I was confused

"Jaffar of course,I excused you guys,do you think I have anything to do in the restroom"she deadpanned rolling her eyes like I was meant to know

"Yeah"I replied

"Ok"she didn't press further and I was grateful

We arrived at Samimah's mom family house,we asked about Samimah and we went inside her room,she looks like she had been crying all night,her eyes were puffy and red,she look pale and sick

She just glance at us and went back to her position,I felt sicken seeing her like that,I know it's not easy to loose one's mom

Fawwaz went closer to her and engulf her in a hug,she started crying again I was afraid to go near her,I don't want to add petrol to the already burning fire

"It's okay,we are here"Fawwaz said using his thump to wipe away her tears,she look too tired to talk,she just place her head on Fawwaz's chest

Fawzan holds my hand and we went closer to them sending our condolences,she nodded only

We sat  for ten minutes before excusing Fawwaz and Samimah

Samimah

I was so happy about the boys coming all the way from Abuja because of me,though right now I don't feel like talking to Jamilah,I felt like she betrayed me,I felt like she was suppose to let me know everything but I think I'm not sure if it would have changed the situation we are in right now,I just want someone to blame about the death of my mom and she is the perfect person

I knew they went out purposely for me and Fawwaz to have time together but I felt they shouldn't have done that,I am shy and embarrassed I know he already knows about my pregnancy and the fact I loosed it too that was the only good thing that came out of everything that happened

"Samimah!"he whispered,I look up to meet his eyes but avert my gaze immediately

"Hey look at me,I'm here for you"he said caressing my hand

"I'm sorry Fawwaz I know you already heard about the abortion and I feel awkward talking to you,I understand if you don't want me anymore"I said playing with my fingers with my eyes on the floor

"Don't say that again,I love you so much that I don't care if you have done hundreds of abortion as far you are with me"he said and look at him if he was joking

"Are you sure?"I asked with tears sliding down across my face

"I'm hundred percent sure,I love you so much,I want to be there when things go bad,I want to be there when you need someone to lean on,I want to be there when everything happens,please forget about what happened everyone is bound to make mistakes"he said and I look at him,my heart called down and I was so thankful for being lucky,I was so thankful for having someone like him in my life

"Talk to me babe"he said caressing my cheeks as I remain quiet,I smiled for the first time since my mom died and he smiled back like it was contagious

"Thank you so much Fawwaz,I'm so grateful for accepting me the way I am,I love you"I said and he smiled

"I love you more"he lean and kissed me softly,he pull back after five seconds,he kissed my forehead and hug me,for the first time in forever I felt safe and calm

Sewa

I left the house as soon as I was back from school,I changed my uniform wearing a peach short gown

I arrived at Fawzan's house,I wanted to search for things i could use to avenge my mom,I came here in the presence of looking for Fawzan,he was missing in school not only him Jaffar,Fawwaz, Samimah and Jamilah were absent too and I know it wasn't just a coincident,though I didn't let it bother me

"Sewa!"Fawzan's mom smiled innocently as she saw me at the door,I reciprocate the smile falsely"so surprised seeing you at my door step,come in"she said and I went inside

"Fawzan was missing in school and I decided to check on him"I said sitting in a couch

"So thoughtful of you,he told me one of his friend's mom died and he was following her to her hometown even though I declined,you know those boys"she snickered

"Oh"that was all I said I was surprised

Whose mom died?

"What do you want?"she asked drawing me back to life

"Anything"I said

"Ok,I will be back in a jiffy"she said and I nodded

She went inside the kitchen,I heard her phone rings and she picked it I stood up tiptoeing I went inside her room

I started searching all the lockers she had in her room,I saw a USB drive and a papers,I ignored the USB drive and focus on the papers till one of it caught my eye

I folded it neatly and put it inside my bra,I heard the sound of her stiletto,I ran out of the room immediately,I steady my stepped as soon as I'm out of her room,we met on the way

"I thought you were in the sitting room?"she asked furrowing her brow

"I missed the house and decided to have a walk,hope you are not offended?"I asked smiling

"Of course not,you are always welcome,I prepared something down for you"she said and I smiled

"Thank you"
