Jamilah

It was an awesome mind bearing journey, it took us two and an half hours to reach Abuja but thank God there was no accident or hold up.

My uncle was busy asking about me throughout the car ride,he was trying to get to know me,my likes,my hates and every other things and i tried my best to give him nice replies

I know i'm going to miss my family and my dearest friend Ummi Sultana,she was crying when i was leaving so do i

The car stopped at a big gate and my uncle honked,the gate opened and a young hausa man greeted him and he just waved at him,the gate man rushed to close the gate,the compound was big for the beautiful bungalow,he parked the car at the parking lot and we stepped out of the car

A slim tall fair lady in bumshort and a loose top ran out of the house by swinging the door open not minding to close it back,he jumped on my Uncle and shouted"welcome back daddy"

Oh she's Samima

"Jamilah right?"she asked squinting

"Yes"it came out more like a question

"My dad told us yesterday about your arrival, so great to have two girls in the house"my uncle chuckled

"Samima this is Jamilah,Jamilah this is Samima,hope you get along well"

"Of cause we will"Samimah said happily and held my left hand

I just found Ummi Sultana's twin

She looks like a carefree and a cheerful lady and i liked her immediately

"Good,then let's get inside"we walked inside the big sitting room with different ornaments, it was breathtaking, Samimah runs towards the side i think is the kitchen and shouted"Mum dad is back!!"the woman chuckled and said"when will you ever change,spoiled child"she came out of the kitchen and saw me and my uncle standing side to side and she gasp

I know it was because of the resemblance, it was undeniable and obvious for people to see

"Welcome sweetheart"she said and half hugged her husband who smiled back at her"Jamilah right?"she asked

"Yes ma"i smiled

"Welcome to your new home and family,hope you have a great stay,how is your mum and others?"she asked smiling

"They are fine"i replied

"Samimah help her with her bag and show her the room"my uncle said

"Take your bath and join us at the dinning table"his wife added,i nodded and followed Samimah to the room

The room is beautiful and painted pink,the bed was neatly dressed and everything was in order, what made me love the room was how spacious it was and the king size bed,not to forget the beautiful wardrobe and the tall and large mirror where you can fully view yourself,let just say the room was perfect for a damsel like me

You should already know i love flattering myself

"Welcome to my beautiful room which is now our room,enjoy your stay and also you should know i have rules"Samimah said

"Rules?"i was confused

"Yes rules"she sits on the bed and patted the side for me to join and i did thesame"rule 1 you must call me Mimah,i don't like being called in full"

"Mimah is great,i'm Milah"i said cheerfully

"Wow, that's great,i think we should write our name in the wall,Mimah And Milah the unbreakable, what do you think?"

"That's great"we high five

"Rule 2,you must gist with me all the time,you should know by now i love gist and am a great talkative"i chuckled

So much like sultana

"Rule 3 the bathroom is first come first serve,beware if i become first, you will regret the day you were born"this time around we both fell down laughing like a sick patients

"Don't tell me you spend like two hours in the bathroom"i asked after our laughter had died down

"If not three my sister,beware of me,that day you are going to hate me"she gave me a devilish smirk

"Don't worry,i will try and make sure i wake up early,by 5:00 o'clock i will make sure i already had my bath so that you can have enough time to swim to your mermaid island"we  chuckled

"Well so great having you here,it's not easy at all to be the only child"she smiled

"The only child?,why are you the only child?"i regretted saying this as soon as it left my mouth,i thought i had cross my limit but she understood and gave me an assuring smile

"It's okay to ask questions but this is a gist for another day,make sure you freshen up and join me in the dinning room"

"Yes"i stood up"what's the time?"

She checked her watch"almost two o'clock"

"I'm going to have my prayer,what about you?"

"I'm not pure right now,maybe tomorrow or next,i will join you"

"Okay, that's great"i left to the bathroom,i took a great mind calming shower,i dried my self with the white towel Mimah kept down for me,i wore my baby blue pyjamas and a loose baby pink top,i had my prayers and went straight to the dining room

"What took you so long"my aunt asked

"I was praying"i sat down beside Mimah,the lunch was rice and stew with fried plantains

We were half through the food when my Uncle break the silence

"Samimah would you love Jamilah to join your school?" Mimah face glisten immediately

"Yes father yes,that would be so great"she was acting childishly and i chuckled

"Table manners Samimah!"her mother scolded

"Mom i was just happy, you tell me are you pure science,technology,art or commercial"she was impatiently waiting for my answer and i decided to torture her by chuckling a little bit"answer me?"she lost all her patience and her dad smiled,why her mother was just trying to tolerate her childish behavior

"Pure science"i finally answered

She stood up and jumped"isn't it great mom and dad, we are going to be in same class"she started dancing

"Act mature Samimah"her father said calmly

"I'm just sixteen dad,i don't need to act maturely, I'm still a kid"she giggles

"Jamilah here is fifteen but act maturely,you are her elder for Allah's sake"her father said

She was shocked and tilted her head to my side"fifteen?"i nodded"SS2"i nodded in disapproval"which class are you?"i could see her happiness died down

"I'm in SS3,i had a double promotion in my primary school"

"That's great,so we are going to be classmate,so nice,what's your aspiring course?"

"Gynaecology"

"Wow,we are so much alike,i want to study that course too,aspiring university?"

"Bayero University of Kano"

"Woah!!!!"she shouted and her parent covered their ear"mom,dad why didn't you tell me i had a twin sister,why did you just bring Jamilah now,she suppose to have grown up with me,our future ambition are thesame"her father chuckled

"Well it's not too late,she is here with you now"her father said

"And please Jamilah make sure you see to her behavior, help me change her"her mother said and was laughing while Mimah jumped on her acting like she is angry"you are so spoilt you know"she said to her

"Yes,you and dad spoiled me,peck of being the only child"her mother started laughing tilting her head upward down and her cap fell,her head was smooth like her forehead,why would she barb her hair like that"sorry"Mimah said and gave her the cap,she wore it and smiled

"You are too mannerless,why would you play with your mom like that!"her father scolded and she got angry

"Excuse me"she left the dinning table

"You shouldn't had scolded her,you know she hates to see you get angry at her"her mother said

"I'm sorry"her father said regretting what he had done earlier,i felt uncomfortable and decided to join Mimah

"Excuse me"i smiled and left the dining room joining Mimah in her room,i met her crying and just patted her back,i decided to cheer her up and asked her to tell me about  her class

"Our class is so funny"she wiped away her tears"There are two group in the class,the crowns and the kings"

"The crowns and the kings?"

"Yes, i support the crowns,it's the boys of our class  that formed that group,the crowns head is Fawzan,the rest are David,Seyi,Aqram and Charles,while the kings head is Jafar and the rest is Yaqzan,Yazeed,Zakir and Henry"she giggles

"What do those groups stand for"i was confused

"It's a crew actually,the crew opposites each other and the funniest part is that they are the brilliant boys of the school,they try to show their stands,i love the Crowns"she giggles

"You are not serious,forget about the gist,i don't want to hear again,you guys are not serious" i stood up from being irritated from the gist

"I bet you are going to love them when you see them"

"It's better to love dogs than them,i will make sure to never cross their part,merry crew whatever"i gave her an i don't care look and went to the sitting room"
