Prologue

Vuelve x Bad Bunny

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The streets were too silent for his taste. It was so unlike Los Angeles to have any quiet streets. He tapped on the grey steering wheel as he waited in the car for his accomplices to finish the house robbery. He popped a gum in his mouth and chewed uneasily. Tension coiled his muscles. There was something eerie about tonight that scared him. He looked up at the night sky from the driver's window only to see the blood moon staring back. It made him more uneasy to the point he accidentally bit his lip and drew blood.

"Shit," he muttered and wiped the wound with the back of his stocky hand. He had a muscular figure with scars from a hard life that marred it. The wound kept bleeding and the blood continued to spill down his lip. He gazed at his reflection in the rear view mirror and thought he looked like a predator with blue eyes that just ate its prey from the surplus of blood slowly dripping down his chin.

Before he could continue with his thoughts, the passenger doors opened. His accomplices climbed inside the car and yelled for him to hit the gas because one of them have mistakenly tripped the house alarm.

The man drove fast through the night and into the empty freeway only to hit the brakes. A hooded figure with their back turned stood in the middle of the freeway.

"What the hell man?!" one of the robbers in the passenger seat complained. "Fucking go!"

He hit the gas, but the car wouldn't move. Moving the steering wheel, his foot pressed the gas one more time to no avail. In desperation, two of the robbers decided to step out of the car. They pulled their guns from behind and shot at the hooded stranger.

To their surprise, the stranger was unaffected by the multiple bullets shot and turned around. It was a man, except half their face was covered with a golden mask.

The robbers swore and fled along with the other passengers in the car. They didn't get far, however.

The masked man waved his hand and killed them all in one sweep. The driver was frozen in fear and looked on helplessly as he saw white images of the dead men that laid on the asphalt leave their bodies and into the fingertips of the masked man.

Looking at the driver, he motioned for him to step outside the car. The driver didn't want to and he found himself pulled from the car. He was lifted into the air by invisible hands. He was afraid and started to scream. He didn't stop until his voice was hoarse.

The masked man smirked, his blue eyes glinting under the blood moon.

"You'll do." he uttered while examining the flailing driver up and down. The bodies of his dead comrades splayed out on the concrete were the last thing he saw before darkness consumed him.

He woke up from the lashes he received from the hooded figure that stood behind him.

A hard kick to his rib caused him to lay on his uninjured side.

"Get up." the masked man ordered.

The driver slowly opened his eyes. He didn't know where he was. The onyx floor he laid under looked like liquid metal yet it wasn't. Something wasn't right.

An ivory hilted dagger was thrown to his side. "Engrave this name on that stone." The masked man pointed.

"Why...should I?" the driver asked. He earned a lash for that question.

"Just do it. You can leave once this is done." the hooded man hissed. He waved his hand and bright golden letters appeared on the stone. The driver used his forearms to get himself up. He was afraid. However, if it meant leaving this place by writing some stupid name on a stone then so be it.

He noticed the stone already had two names engraved on it. However, one of them was scratched out. The driver ignored these details and began to focus on his future. He can start a new life after this event. He can forget about the robbery and move somewhere nobody knows him.

Clutching the ivory hilted dagger, he began to inscribe the name, the hooded man ordered him to write.

αυρελιο

The ground before him shook once he finished engraving the name. He fell on his back when the stone with the newly engraved name glowed a blinding light. The driver covered his eyes until he felt that he can remove his arm to see once more.

"Master, you have come back." he saw the hooded figure in his peripheral vision kneel down.

"How long has it been?" the smooth silky voice asked.

"It's only been a year and a half."

"Is that so? And my sacrifice?" the unknown voice asked.

The hooded figure pointed to the driver. "He's right here, Master."

The man's footsteps got closer as the driver backed away from the sound. He couldn't see the "Master," it's as if he's invisible. He can feel his heart beating out of his chest from fear; he wanted to go home.

"How funny, he looks like me. Similar features, but mine are better of course." the voice laughed.

Cerulean eyes were the last thing the driver saw before darkness enveloped him forever to a painless death.
