Lie X Halsey ft. Quavo

After the spectacular of blue roses on each table of Cafe Bernardo, Ethan, my friends, and I attempted to eat our food. Deep inside, I knew each and one of us were freaking out. I felt nauseous with each bite of food I take. Once we finished, we walked back to our apartment in silence. None of us knew what to say or do. Fear was thick in the apartment and silence deafened all of us. Everybody headed to the quaint living room and sat in silence for hours until Brittany stood up and broke our delicate stillness.

"Should we leave? Move somewhere else?" Brittany asked. She opened one of the doors next to the kitchen countertop to pull out the suitcases shoved inside.

Ethan paced back and forth in the living room. "We can't. The safe houses are an hour away and it's dark outside. The creature taunting us would be stronger at night." My friends stared at him in unease.

"We have protective wards all over the apartment," Ethan reassured. "Until we know more about this creature, all of us have to be back in the apartment by sunset and nobody leaves and no visitors at night."

"Is that all we can do?!" Brittany cried out. "We've been through this before and it's happening again. Are we just going to sit here and hide? Obviously, this demon already knows where we live so what's the point in hiding?"

Daniel stood closer to me to the point we were only a foot apart. "It must be Daemon right? Who else could it be?" He looked at everyone before speaking again. "If it's Angelo, then we're all fucked because things didn't end so well last time with him." he sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"I think all of us need to calm down and just sleep it off tonight. There's no use arguing on what we're going to do right now. We haven't eaten anything from the Nether Realm which would cause our souls easy to be played by this demon. We'll be okay guys, we'll figure this out." Ethan added.

Everyone agreed to his suggestion, we were all exhausted from the worry, the fear, and the tears that were threatening to fall because none of us wanted to repeat the game we survived a year and a half ago.

I walked to my room and laid down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. The blue roses were nowhere in sight so I assumed either Ethan or my friends threw them away while I was gone.

Tragic.

I wanted to hold them one more time and remember all the memories, good or bad with Daemon. Lost in my own memories, my thoughts were disrupted when I heard a soft rustle behind me.

"Looking for these?" a cool familiar voice spoke behind me.

From the shadows of my room, he emerged boldly. His glossy black hair was sleeked back and he wore a black button up with the sleeves rolled up to show his onyx snake tattoo. His mark was similar to mine where roses dominated the design while thorns and feathers dominated his. The man had the same chiseled face, the same signature smirk, and the harsh glint in his cerulean eyes.

Daemon held the bouquet of blue roses in his hands. He tilted his head slightly and thrust the bouquet of blue roses towards me.

Stunned, I mustered up the courage to say something. "It can't be you," I whispered to myself, my hands shaking. I've seen him die, I held him while he died in front me. I concluded that I must be dreaming because Daemon standing in front of me was not possible.

"I can assure you that you aren't dreaming," he smirked as if reading my mind, moonlight highlighting his stone cold grin.

The only thing separating us was my bed. I climbed over it and rushed towards him and pulled him into my embrace. He was real. I wanted to cry as happiness swelled in my chest. I felt every hard muscle on his torso and inhaled his familiar addicting pine scent.

He dropped the blue roses and to my dismay, he swiftly pushed me away from him, his hands burning my skin. Daemon wiped imaginary dust from his shirt in annoyance.

"Touch me again and I'll make sure your soul suffers the most in the Nether Realm." he glared.

I hissed in pain and pulled myself away from him, confused. "I don't understand...why are you being like this?" He was different this time. He was not like the man I knew before.

Daemon sneered in response. "I've always been like this." He turned to admire himself in the mirror behind him. "But I must say, I do look like the so-called Daemon." His perfect brow was arched while he touched his jaw.

My brain tried to understand what was happening between us. Why was he talking like this? Why was he acting like this?

Daemon turned once more to face me. "I'm not who you think I am, Celeste. I've come for something I've been dying to conquer."

Terror clutched my heart in its claws, rendering me speechless. The temperature in the room decreased to the point I can see puffs of air as I exhaled.

"W-who are you?"

The bed dipped from his weight as he sat in front of me, his facade of innocence glowing inside my somber room.

"I'm Aurelio, King of the Nether Realm. It's a pleasure to meet you, Celeste."
