The thunder sound broke their chance. She flinched and stepped back, she apologised and left to her room.

Here Vijay stared at her disappearing figure.

Inside the room,

Kaveri slapped herself.

She hitted her palm in anger. She worried about how to face him hereafter. She heard the door knocking sound, followed by Vijay’s voice.

Vijay: Kaveri kadhava thora.

She remained silent.

Vijay: Kavi it's not your mistake. It's mine. I should be the one to apologise. I'm sorry. Nee inum sapidala…open the door.

He knocked but he didn't get the response.

Vijay: OPEN THE DAMN DOOR KAVERI.

He banged.

Kaveri stilled silent and moved to the bed, closing her ears and eyes. She heard his voice fading away.

He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and moved to his room, closing the door with the thud.

The next morning Vijay woke up at 8 and saw Kaveri was missing.

He knocked on her door and he pushed the door knob, it opened and Kaveri was not inside.

Vijay: Kadavule. Damn. 

He saw that her bags were missing too. He dialled her and it went unanswered. He sighed and went to his office.

In the evening Kaveri came earlier, quickly finished her dinner and moved to her room. He came late and saw some side dish in a vessel, thinking that Kaveri might come.

Like this one week went. After the week, Kaveri passed him silently, lowering her head down, Vijay staring at her, his eyes moving to the ways she was moving.

She muttered and went to the kitchen and he followed her back. She flinched when he stood behind her.

She wore the helmet and he locked it. She climbed on the bike praying to all deity and luckily her leg reached the floor. He took a deep breath and sat behind her.

Unknowingly she put on the first gear and started the engine moving the bike slowly…

Ramesh (person Vijay seen in restaurant) : Dei anga paarunga antha Vijay…

Before they reached Vijay, Kaveri revved the engine and sped out of the parking lot, disappearing from their sight.

Vijay gently placed his hands on her shoulders, his focus entirely on her as she gripped the handlebar. Kaveri felt a rush of warmth, a mix of excitement and nervousness with goosebumps as she navigated the road, shifting gears smoothly without his single guidance.

Her eyes flicked to the side mirror, and for a moment, her breath hitched. His face was close, his steady gaze reflected in the mirror, watching her intently, as if she was the only thing that mattered……..
