The 9 Enneagram Types
What is Enneagram?
There are 9 Enneagram types, labelled by numbers. Each type has a wing, one less or more than the main type. For example, 5w4 or 5w6. The first number is the one that describes you best and the second is the one that you identify with more out of the two wings it can have.
The basics of each Enneagram type:
Type 1:
Healthy: idealistic, responsible, orderly, appropriate, perfectionistic.
Unhealthy: inflexible, overly critical, controlling.
Type 2:
Healthy: loving, warm, attentive, compassionate.
Unhealthy: needy, manipulative, possessive.
Type 3:
Healthy: adaptable, successful, inspiring, sociable.
Unhealthy: fake, self-absorbed, superficial, attention-seeking.
Type 4:
Healthy: empathic, unique, humane, elegant, sophisticated.
Unhealthy: needy, envious, overly sensitive, depressed.
Type 5:
Healthy: calm, knowledgeable, objective, attentive.
Unhealthy: cold, detached, arrogant.
Type 6:
Healthy: protective, loyal, reliable, strategic.
Unhealthy: fearful, anxious, uncertain.
Type 7:
Healthy: optimistic, energetic, adventurous, spontaneous.
Unhealthy: bored, restless, unreliable, disloyal, self-indulgent.
Type 8:
Healthy: confident, decisive, generous, supportive.
Unhealthy: rude, aggressive, mean, arrogant.
Type 9:
Healthy: peaceful, calm, patient, selfless, humble.
Unhealthy: slow, procrastinating, indifferent, complacent.
