MBTI Cognitive Functions (Ne - Extraverted Intuition)
Extraverted intuition is basically the metaphysical awareness. It is considered, as far as human biases go, a more feminine and novel concept, therefore not recognised as important.
Since most of the world's people are Sensors (SJs and SPs)—70% to be exact—they think there's something wrong with the extraverted intuitives, as if their point-of-view is invalid.
Extraverted intuition is about what is possible, what might be, what might happen I to everyone. People who have extraverted intuition are open to possibilities. Introverted intuition is similar, but it's more what's possible for me, whereas extraverted intuition is what are the possible paths for everyone to take.
With types who have Ne as dominant or Hero function, Ni is their unconscious mind's dominant, which is where the worry is. This means that those types will worry about their future, what they want for themselves, even if they can see the paths of those around them. (Sounds like me.)
Ne users are often accused of being too much in the clouds, not being down-to-earth enough, and being too theoretical. Many times they are also told they are autistic or something. Most inventors were extraverted intutives. What does that tell you?
It's also awareness of what other people want, what their desires are, what they're about to do.
Ne is based off what you see, percieve, which makes it easy to predict the paths forward.
Extraverted intuition is linked with introverted sensing, which is about personal experience; memory. They use what has happened before, their experiences and it's circumstances to predict what will happen next.
Ne is all about pattern recognition. All that has happened before will happen again. It follows a certain pattern.
ENxPs use Ne as dominant functions, INxPs as auxiliary, ESxJs as tertiary and ISxJs as inferior.
If Ne was an element, it would be water, as it it all over the place.
